What does Sustainably Packaged Beauty mean?

Sending less to the landfill means good things for the planet. To qualify as Sustainable Packaging, at least 50% of packaging must be made from recycled or bio-sourced materials or be recyclable or refillable.

Wanting to find a solution to the beauty industry's growing waste problem, Axiology's founder Ericka Rodriguez launched Balmies—the first plastic-free, multi-use makeup crayon. Balmies boxes are 100% recyclable and made from paper waste picked up from around the island of Bali, Indonesia, which is known for its waste problem. Axiology products are all vegan, cruelty-free, palm oil-free and plastic-free.

Sustainable packaging is at the core of WE ARE PARADOXX. It has influenced every decision we’ve made and every product we’ve created. We chose to prioritize eliminating plastic waste from day 1 by using aluminum packaging, which can be infinitely recycled and lends itself to being reused as it doesn't degrade over time. We launched Plastic Free Beauty Day almost 4 years ago to create positive environmental change in the beauty industry with regards to the overuse of plastic. We are always working on ways to improve our sustainability and will continue to champion and support brands who make the move away from plastic packaging.
