Most Helpful Positive Review Clean Protection for the Concrete Jungle
I really enjoyed testing Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30. I usually just use a moisturizer with SPF in it instead of just sunscreen, but Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30 is unlike any other sunscreen I have ever tried! It came in a very sleek and functional designed tube that used a pump to disperse the product. I thought that was very smart because a lot of times, when I use sunscreens in tubes, I squeeze out too much product and waste it. This was not the case with Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30. I really loved the smooth, creamy texture of the product, and it also did not take much to coat my entire face. I used it on other parts of my body, too, but I liked using it best on my face. I did find that I did have to reapply quite often because it is not sweat or water resistant. I would also have liked it to be a little stronger than 30, especially if I am using it for my face. However, I really loved that I could use it under makeup! That was a HUGE bonus! It also smelled great, not too strong but just enough to make me think I was on vacation. It did not leave that white nose sunscreen look from years past. It absorbed quickly into my skin, and it also did not irritate or cause my ultra sensitive skin to break out. That was a MAJOR bonus! I have tried so many other sunscreens, and almost always when I use them on my face, they cause my acne prone skin to flare up. This was so not the case with Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30. Overall, I really enjoyed this product, and even my friends and family could tell a difference in my face after using it. They all wanted to try it! I will definitely be buying more of this when this one runs out. But I do not expect that to be any time soon because a little goes a long way! That's why I did not mind reapplying it because this time of year, it is so hot, and I get so sweaty that I have to reapply most sunscreens. I also really loved the applicator Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30 came in! The mint green color was so chic and modern, I just loved it! It also caught the eye of several people when they saw me using it which was a great way to start a conversation about all the benefits of Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30. The size was perfect, too! It fit easily in my purse, my beach bag, or just on my shelf. Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30 is one of the best sunscreens I have ever had the pleasure to use! Makeup and other skincare products can make your skin look pretty, but products like Urban Skin Rx Complexion Protection SPF Moisturizer SPF 30 that protect your skin give your skin a radiant glow all year long! What can be better than a moisturizer with SPF that smells like sunshine and sand in the middle of winter! That beats any bronzer anytime!

All five sunscreens are organic/chemical, which in the case of sunscreens means not desirable and not ocean friendly. Mineral sunscreens are titanium oxide, zinc oxide, or combo. They work to bounce the light off with a physical barrier. Chemical sunscreens absorb into your skin and the environment. I usually do not comment on products that give me a personal, idiosyncratic reaction (in this case, dropping my temp to 93 and really sickening me) BUT....I do comment about misleading and incorrect labeling. I see zero minerals for sunscreen here. This does not reflect on Ulta. Urban Skin Rx is catching the reader's eye with trendy buzzwords. The chem sunscreens might not bother some individuals IN THE SHORT RUN. If readers think this is an exaggeration, check Cosdna and EWG. Science, not marketing! Believe I saw Blue Lizard here on Ulta for an alternative that is safer for self and the environment. Ulta has many good alternatives in the TRULY mineral choices. Many brands have at least one all physical/full mineral choice for sunscreens. Yes, they tend to be more expensive. Do not be misled by brands that combine the true minerals with the avobenzones, benzophenones, homosalates, etc., and market themselves as 'mineral.'

the pilling. It blends seamlessly and is moisturizing. but it doesn't play well with other ingredients AT ALL.
Dewy & oily are two different things
Miss Mia from Stockton, ca
I have been wanting to try this moisturizer for a while I really like the urban RX brand ,I have a cleanser that I love with them that is part of my regular face routine. But this moisturizer is definitely not for oily skin if you're trying to control the oil and I always have a problem with moisturizers with SPF in it because of the fact that they always turn from Dewey to oily.
Great for everyday use

Love the whole line of products

It feels really nice on my face and it's great for oily type skin.
Allergic to something in product
heytherecare from CA
I was originally drawn to this product with the hopes of using it to reduce hyperpigmentation, but after only two uses, I got an allergic reaction from this product. I've used products before with SPF in it, but I think the ingredients to make the SPF higher or better was too strong for my skin. Luckily, it seems to just concentrate on my chin and developed little red pumps and then it peeled after that.
Began to peel on me

Look—I'm very particular about sunscreen or anything that touches my face really. A lady at Ulta recommended this when I was caught up between the Neutrogena spf hydro gel cream and the La Rosay Roche moisturizer with spf 30. Considering these are pretty popular choices right now, I won't lie, when the esthetician recommended this over both I was skeptical. I tried it anyways, and I regretted it. It started peeling on my skin for whatever reason and it felt very greasy. This is definitely not oil skin friendly; I'd recommend the La Rosay Roche serum with spf 50 because it's so lightweight and worth the price honestly. I went back the same day to return this.
Very Hydrating, a LITTLE Goes a Long Way
Shmell from Boston, MA
I would not recommend to anyone oily -- but it works great for Dry and Combo skin! I use a TINY amount on top of/with my other moisturizer, as a little goes a long way. It helps seal in the moisture, and gives you that extra glow. Don't forget your neck!

Greasy Look But Not Horrible
b from ohio
I don't like leaving reviews when only trying a product once, but I just didn't like this. I was really looking for a new simple moisturizer to like for my dry skin but this is honestly just an SPF. My skin looked very greasy— I have dry skin and love a dewy look but I did not like this. Also, my pump was giving me some troubles too. Would probably be nice to use with other moisturizers but i'd rather keep my routine simple. I washed it off after maybe an hour since it still seemed to just sit on top of my skin.
I reacted badly to this
Imo from Bear, DE
I really wanted to love this. Unfortunately, I reacted to it badly and I normally don't have sensitive skin so I don't know what happened. But every time I used it, I had such rough bumps and all of a sudden I developed a rough skin texture. I kept trying to adjust everything else just so I could fit it in my routine but that did not work. So I had to stop using it, and yup my skin is much better now.
BETTER GO GET THIS

I use this after I add the serum to my face. Keep me protected from the sun. Love my melanin skin.

oily and flakes off
lily from north carolina
i had high hops for this moisturizer + sunscreen. it made my face really, really, oily. it almost made it look like i was sweating...very weird and i'm not sure if this happens with anyone else but it literally flakes/pees off my face like it's dead skin. ive used it at night and i wake up with my skin still feeling oily. i thought it was just me but i'm really disappointed i bought this.
Koko from Alpharetta, Ga
I recently purchased this product and after a few days of use I decided to stop using because it makes my face oily. It has a pleasant scent but since I already have oily skin, I didn't want to continue to use it. My mom on the other hand enjoys it.

This went back immediately after I tried it. Irritated my skin and gave me some bumps. smells like sunscreen kindoff greasy but absorbs fast after a minute or two
Leilani from Arizona
I personally have dry skin and have a hard time finding good moisturizers. It's not super hydrating and it's not crazy dry either. It leaves my skin feeling nice and I like how the sunscreen doesn't have a harsh scent like other ones. For the price I think it's a good moisturizer and it's worth trying it out.
Worked for a couple weeks
Jay from Maryland
I have oily acne prone skin which I consider to be sensitive and I'm using a retina, so I really need a moisturizer with spf that's not going to make my skin even more oily.
When I first bought this ~2 weeks ago, it did just that but now I find that it is making my skin super oily. I'm extremely bummed and disappointed because I really wanted this to work for me. One positive is that, I didn't experience much breakouts from the product. So it's definitely something you can take a risk on without having to deal with any inflammation
Las Vegas Sun

I live in a desert. I am mixing this with other moisturizers and will mix with facial sunscreen and block as it gets warmer. I like the consistency. My face after primer and bb cream looks flawless with this. It is on sale and the price is reasonable for amount of product. Sunscreen smell dissipates. Solid purchase. highly recommend for maturing skin. I am 48.

Nothing truly that special. Kinda is greasy and kinda burns a little too and feels like straight sunscreen.
Burnt my skin
Saf from -
My skin isn't super sensitive and I can go with doing a lot to it without it irritating but something in this made my skin BURN so bad. I loved that it was seamless but not worth the tingling and redness on my face.
Not the greatest
Dani from Bronx, Ny
When i first used this i thought it was amazing its so lightweight and it feels so hydrating. But as i kept using it i noticed it started to ball up on my face.
Penelope from CO
I've been using this sunscreen for awhile now and have been enjoying it. I wouldn't describe it as a holy grail product but it also doesn't irritate my skin. I haven't experienced oiliness as other reviewers have described. The product dries matte enough for me to skip a primer before applying my foundation. The hyaluronic acid (HA) in this product is listed under "Sodium Hyaluronate" and is a smaller HA molecule that allows it to penetrate deeper in the skin. The product does not make any Vitamin C claims, but Vitamin E. That is listed under "Tocopheryl Acetate". Support women-owned businesses, not misinformation.

It just hasn't wowed me. I've been dying this product for about a month now, it hasn't really benefitted my skin, but it hasn't harmed it either. Felt a little greasy, but was absorbed into the skin. I'll finish my bottle, I just won't be purchasing again
Concerned customer from Orlando, FL
It says that it has vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. But I'm the ingredients it does not actually have it. Which I find miss leading so I have not used this product
Definitely worth trying out
Iluvluciee from Westminster,CA
It has been a really sunny hot day here in California. Today I went out to take my daughter to the park. I realized we definitely needed sunscreen & I remember I had this urban skin moisturizer/sunscreen, mind you I'm not wearing any makeup! So I love the fact that it's also a moisturizer!!! ( Bonus ) since I'm a mom and I'm always on the go! It doesn't have a strong smell ( bonus ) also light weight , not heavy at all. Only con would be applying it every two hours but hey that's with mostly all sunscreen! Other than that I love it !
