Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

Gives you great color but don't be fooled by the color swatches on the side of the box. It will grab on to your roots really quickly. Overall I went into it knowing it was going to be darker then what the box said, but would use this product again.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I have curly and lightened hair. I love mixing a small amount of the purple with a conditioning treatment. I get a beautiful color that isn't as dark as using it straight from the bottle. I'll be trying light pink next!

Rinsed out nicley after 30 minutes. Did not wash out when I just washed it 2 days later. Just wanted highlights. Got the whole head! Don't read bad results!

I used this is both pink and purple on super bleached naturally black hair that was completely dry at the time of application. Purple lasted longer on my hair and both had amazing color pay off!
Hope you had a great experience as I did.

This produc frankly, sucks. It says may be used on light blonde hair right? So, my roots are a bit darker naturally than the rest of my hair but they are still light blonde, light enough to be one of the color samples on the box. Not only does 1 box not have enough dye to dye a section of my hair, i had to go to a drugstore at 11pm and get more. The color only stuck to the lightest parts of my hair is some weird ombré look. Its not cute. I'm angry

Well.... I thought I was going to get a purple color, or at least purple tint. Instead I now have red tinted hair with slight white spots everywhere. No idea what happened but I am covering this now cause it looks HORRID. Only plus side to this product is that its easy to use for any level of beauty lover.

Wouldn't recommend even if you want a "touch" of color. Just use something else. Anything else.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

So, I got this in pink to do my daughter's hair for Halloween and she has mostly medium-blonde hair with a LOT of near-white highlights. I figured this would work at the very least on the highlights in her hair. So I applied it all over, hoping it would color all if it but not expecting it. 30 minutes pass and I rinse the dye with cool water and no product, as instructed. We dry her hair and there's literally a couple streaks of pink in the front and that's it. Her highlights throughout her hair were not effected at all and where it did turn out pink was no where near what the box said it would be. I've had better luck coloring hair with koolaid. So disappointed and upset that I paid for this.

Hi there! We are sorry you are having a difficult time getting the color to fade. You can certainly use the Colorista #BLUE again to streak your hair, but note that the natural progression of a blue color fading is to green, so it will more then likely fade in the same way. If you want the color gone completely, we suggest to continue frequent use of the Colorista Fading Shampoo. Hope this helps!

                  • Q:

I had dark blonde hair with gray. I used the lightest platium blonde I could find then used the semi permament colorista (blue). That was a month ago. It is fading and taking on a light green color. My question is: do I have to wait until it is completely gone before I streak it again? Or do I have to die it platium again and start over?

                      A:

Hi Cathie! Thank you for your question! The deposit of blue is heavy and really grabs on to the hair strands. Blue color tends to fade to green when mixed with gold or yellow undertones, which are present in blonde hair. Because you used a lightest platinum blonde, it is possible your hair could be a little more porous than usual, which is why it's taking a little longer to fade! Because it is starting to turn green, that indicates the color is slowly fading!
We do not recommend applying any color or bleach on top of Colorista, because doing so will push the color deeper into your strands and make it permanent. We recommend trying our Colorista Reset Shampoo to continue fading this color! You can view this product here: http://tinyurl.com/y9yewdnb
We hope this information is helpful!

I got my hair done for a rose gold ombré and I always used the viral pastel pink shampoo to maintain it. Would the soft pink hair dye work in place of the pink shampoo? If so, what do you recommend I do to get it to a rose gold color? My tips are a honey blonde color at the moment.

Hello! Colorista Semi-Permanent Colors will not replace a shampoo to maintain color. This product will deposit pigment on your hair that will wash out gradually. You can use this product to color your hair soft pink, but follow the instructions and do not use it like a shampoo! If you are looking for a permanent rose gold shade, we recommend trying our Feria 822 Rose Gold. We hope this answers your question!

Hello! We are not completely sure what you mean, but we can try to help. If you use bleach over Colorista Semi-Permanent Color, it will likely brighten the Colorista shade even more and make it stay longer. We recommend waiting until all of the Colorista Semi-Permanent Color is washed out of your hair before bleaching or applying permanent haircolor.

Hi Re-Re, Colorista shades for blonde hair could look much brighter on gray/silver hair, and Colorista shades for brunettes even more so. They also may stay in longer than our suggested lastingness. If you are still interested in using them, we recommend performing a strand test first to ensure you will like your results!

Hi Jima, thanks for your question about Colorista! We would not recommend using the shades for light/bleached hair on medium brown hair or white/gray hair. On the medium brown hair you would see no result, and since we have not tested Colorista on white/gray hair we do not know what result you would get.
