Doesn't work

By KA

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I have naturally blonde hair that has never been dyed before and none of the purple color showed up. I have a slightly gray tinge but definitely not purple! Very disappointed.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

THIS WILL RUIN YOUR HAIR. DO NOT DO IT. This will stay in your hair forever and will not wash out in 8 washes like it says. If you want to ruin your hair then go buy some. I had a very expensive blonde balayage and it's now ruined by this. I dyed my hair dark brown to try and get rid of the purple and it didn't even cover it up. I've heard the purple will turn into a green color so that will be fun!

This will ruin your hair

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I have highlighted brown hair and this stuff is totally geared toward people who have bleach (most people these days have some form of highlight). I used the turquoise and the lighter blue on my lighter ends. My hair is green and it will not come out at all. I had read some mixed reviews but I read really awful ones about staining once it was too late. I'm shocked loreal doesn't have a class action lawsuit honestly. They can't market something for 4-8 shampoos when it permanently stains hair. Now I have to go pay a bunch of money for an expensive color correction. Loreal should make this right. There's tons of others with my same experience. STEER CLEAR. There's better temporary dyes out there that are actually temporary.

      LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
I bought the Hot pink shade to test on my hair. I began with a strand test and it lasted about three to four washes! I then repurchased another bottle to dye the rest of my blonde hair! The color was bright and didn't disappoint!

I bought the blue to wear for a week or so. 3 months later and chlorine-green hair, I wish I had never put this on my head. Even my stylist is unsure that she'll be able to get the stain off. I'm not sure if the formula changed, but when I used this brand a year ago, it did wash out without any problems. Now, be very cautious if you really want this to be semi-permanent.

This product was used on very long hair but only the bottom 6 inches. Very easy to apply and rinse out. After drying hair, the color looked blotchy even though I was meticulous about applying thoroughly. The color did develop more over night and had a more even look the next day. It was used on medium to dark blonde and was still noticeable and actually blended very well with the pink. It was disappointing that it didnt even last after the first shampoo. It is a nice product for those not willing to commit to a more permanent change and does not at all damage your hair. Overall its a fun amd very short term change

I used this on both my boys and myself because I liked how it had no ammonia or bleach.

My problem is that it transferred off the hair. I wake up in the morning looking more like a Smurf than a person.

I honestly don't do reviews but I'm so happy I didn't listen to the bad ones. I decided on a whim that I would give it a shot and if all else fails it would wash out. But the color turned out fantastic. I don't think people realize your hair has to be pretty light without yellow/brassy tones or else the color will not be true and patchy. I used soft pink.

I bought the item to bleach my hair (since it is dark brown to lift the color) and the burgundy color. If I remove the color will my hair still remain bleached or will it go back to its natural color?

Hi Anna! Thank you for reaching out to us about our Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Color in Burgundy. We wanted to let you know that this shade is meant for brunettes who are dark brown to light brown. If you bleach your hair, it could alter the results and the length of time it takes to wash out. Once this shade is removed, your hair will still be bleached underneath. We hope this helps!

The only way to do so would be to shampoo it to fade it out over time or to use a haircolor remover kit to strip the color. Not everyone qualifies to use a haircolor remover, so in order for us to better assist you please give us a call at 800-631-7358. Your reference # will be 04153525.

Hi there! We are sorry you are having a difficult time getting the color to fade. You can certainly use the Colorista #BLUE again to streak your hair, but note that the natural progression of a blue color fading is to green, so it will more then likely fade in the same way. If you want the color gone completely, we suggest to continue frequent use of the Colorista Fading Shampoo. Hope this helps!

I had dark blonde hair with gray. I used the lightest platium blonde I could find then used the semi permament colorista (blue). That was a month ago. It is fading and taking on a light green color. My question is: do I have to wait until it is completely gone before I streak it again? Or do I have to die it platium again and start over?

                            A:

Hi Cathie! Thank you for your question! The deposit of blue is heavy and really grabs on to the hair strands. Blue color tends to fade to green when mixed with gold or yellow undertones, which are present in blonde hair. Because you used a lightest platinum blonde, it is possible your hair could be a little more porous than usual, which is why it's taking a little longer to fade! Because it is starting to turn green, that indicates the color is slowly fading!
We do not recommend applying any color or bleach on top of Colorista, because doing so will push the color deeper into your strands and make it permanent. We recommend trying our Colorista Reset Shampoo to continue fading this color! You can view this product here: http://tinyurl.com/y9yewdnb

Your results may not be as visible on hair that is dark blonde or darker. Brassiness will also effect your color results. We recommend performing a strand test as a preview to see if the color result is what you're looking for! We hope this information is helpful!

You can use this product to color your hair soft pink, but follow the instructions and do not use it like a shampoo! If you are looking for a permanent rose gold shade, we recommend trying our Feria 822 Rose Gold. We hope this answers your question!

Hello! We are not completely sure what you mean, but we can try to help. If you use bleach over Colorista Semi-Permanent Color, it will likely brighten the Colorista shade even more and make it stay longer. We recommend waiting until all of the Colorista Semi-Permanent Color is washed out of your hair before bleaching or applying permanent haircolor.
