It lasts about 3 washes. After my third shampoo, the pink is still barely visible. It is fun for a week.

    Not worth it

    By Samantha

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I used a peach and light pink mixed together and it came out so patchy. On the one good note it didn't stain my hair it came out in two washes completely. However, it didn't look good.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

So I bought this for a crazy hair day at the school I work at to give myself Unicorn hair. I bought the Pink and the Indigo, and the end result was great! Application was easy enough, but it can get a little drippy if you've got too much on the brush (which is user error). I have thick curly hair, and the two tubes were totally enough to cover my hair. It's been at least four weeks since I colored it and the pink is all gone, but the indigo has faded to a light blue that looks pretty cool against my natural color. I get compliments on it all the time on it, so I'm not complaining!

Gives you great color but don't be fooled by the color swatches on the side of the box. It will grab on to your roots really quickly. Overall I went into it knowing it was going to be darker then what the box said, but would use this product again.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorista Semi-Permanent for Light Blonde or Bleached Hair:

I have curly and lightened hair. I love mixing a small amount of the purple with a conditioning treatment. I get a beautiful color that isn't as dark as using it straight from the bottle. I'll be trying light pink next!

                A:

Hi PEACE! We do not recommend overlapping semi permanent color until it has been completely faded out. If you are looking to use Colorista on your hair, we recommend only applying shade for brunettes on the dark sections and using our shades designed for blonde hair on any lightened sections. We hope this answers your question!

I bought the item to bleach my hair (since it is dark brown to lift the color) and the burgundy color. If I remove the color will my hair still remain bleached or will it go back to its natural color?

Hi Anna! Thank you for reaching out to us about our Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Color in Burgundy. We wanted to let you know that this shade is meant for brunettes who are dark brown to light brown. If you bleach your hair, it could alter the results and the length of time it takes to wash out. Once this shade is removed, your hair will still be bleached underneath. We hope this helps!

Hello! It can be very difficult to completely remove haircolor. The only way to do so would be to shampoo it to fade it out over time or to use a haircolor remover kit to strip the color. Not everyone qualifies to use a haircolor remover, so in order for us to better assist you please give us a call at 800-631-7358. Your reference # will be 04153525.

                A:

Hi there! We are sorry you are having a difficult time getting the color to fade. You can certainly use the Colorista #BLUE again to streak your hair, but note that the natural progression of a blue color fading is to green, so it will more then likely fade in the same way. If you want the color gone completely, we suggest to continue frequent use of the Colorista Fading Shampoo. Hope this helps!

            • Q:

I had dark blonde hair with gray. I used the lightest platium blonde I could find then used the semi permament colorista (blue). That was a month ago. It is fading and taking on a light green color. My question is: do I have to wait until it is completely gone before I streak it again? Or do I have to die it platium again and start over?
Asked on 12/6/2017 by cathie from Maryland

              1 answer

              • Brand Expert

                A:

Hi Cathie! Thank you for your question! The deposit of blue is heavy and really grabs on to the hair strands. Blue color tends to fade to green when mixed with gold or yellow undertones, which are present in blonde hair. Because you used a lightest platinum blonde, it is possible your hair could be a little more porous than usual, which is why it's taking a little longer to fade! Because it is starting to turn green, that indicates the color is slowly fading!
We do not recommend applying any color or bleach on top of Colorista, because doing so will push the color deeper into your strands and make it permanent. We recommend trying our Colorista Reset Shampoo to continue fading this color! You can view this product here: http://tinyurl.com/y9yewdnb
We hope this information is helpful!

I got my hair done for a rose gold ombré and I always used the viral pastel pink shampoo to maintain it. Would the soft pink hair dye work in place of the pink shampoo? If so, what do you recommend I do to get it to a rose gold color? My tips are a honey blonde color at the moment.

Hello! Colorista Semi-Permanent Colors will not replace a shampoo to maintain color. This product will deposit pigment on your hair that will wash out gradually. You can use this product to color your hair soft pink, but follow the instructions and do not use it like a shampoo! If you are looking for a permanent rose gold shade, we recommend trying our Feria 822 Rose Gold. We hope this answers your question!

Hello! We are not completely sure what you mean, but we can try to help. If you use bleach over Colorista Semi-Permanent Color, it will likely brighten the Colorista shade even more and make it stay longer. We recommend waiting until all of the Colorista Semi-Permanent Color is washed out of your hair before bleaching or applying permanent haircolor.
