Most Helpful Positive Review Try on dry hair! I used this is both pink and purple on super bleached naturally black hair that was completely dry at the time of application. Purple lasted longer on my hair and both had amazing color pay off!
Hope you had a great experience as I did.
Most Helpful Critical Review Stained Hair My sister and I decided to use the colorista washout brunette dyes on Christmas night 2017. We have never dyed our hair before so we thought it would wash out easily. I used 30 red and she used 20 burgundy for brunettes. We both have medium brown hair. It's now March 28 and my hair is stained red. The color will not wash out and my hair is growing it out at this point. I have used the color eraser shampoo every day since and it does nothing. My sister's hair is pink and it is stained too. We are both upset that our hair is ruined and we don't have the money to get it professionally fixed. I would not recommend this product because it is not temporary.

I love this product. It's the only true maroon color I've found, and it has a strong pigment. Also a big fan of the color as it is washing out- a pleasant rose pink. Dries my hair out a little but that is expected, and does make quite a mess when rinsing the first couple of washes.

I bleached the front strands of my hair twice and it wasn't even all the way blonde. It was like a dark ash blonde. I bought the RED color because I wanted to dye the front of my hair red and it was SO vibrant and lasted for like 8 washes!!!! I highly recommend it
I can not remove this green from my hair 1

I really hate having to write a bad review, because the color at first was pretty but... I am looking for recommendations/advice regarding one of your products. In the beginning of September 2020, I used your L'Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Color For Brunettes, Teal color that states it last 7-10 washes.. I used the color over my natural red head.. I can not remove this color. I have now spent over $300 at the salon professionally trying to remove the green out of my hair and it will not budge. Also, I have tried two boxes of Color Oops extra strength, dish soap and baking soda treatment twice, and along with trying to process it out with bleach. Please let me know if you have advice on removing the horrible temporary colored green dye out of my hair. Nothing is working... I am extremely upset/disappointed at this point..
started great, became awful 1

I dislike writing negative reviews, and in this case, it seems important to let other people know... I have dark brown hair with red undertones and had blonde balayage that I wanted to spruce up with the blue Colorista product... It looked great for the first week or two and then started fading to green, which was fine as that's what the box had warned and I figured was part of the wash-out process, but then it just stayed at green. Tomorrow it will be four months since I applied the color, countless deep conditions (designated conditioner, coconut oil, mayonnaise, olive oil, shea butter), washes with regular shampoo, clarifying shampoos and also alternative clarifying detergents (dish soap, vitamin C tablets, baking soda, vinegar, epsom salts), and two semi-permanent hair dyes in brown and red to try to cover or balance it, and still my hair is green. In my opinion, this is not a good product. Color and be fun and beautiful, but...be really sure what your plan is for if and when it doesn't wash out.
The pink color works great! Not the indigo color. 2

I am a naturally blonde with professionally dyed blonde balayage. I purchased the pink color and absolutely loved it! It came out in about 5 washes. About 3 months later, I purchased the indigo color. As soon as I put it on, it was a deep purple. I thought that was odd but didn't really think anything of it. I liked the color, then it faded to a dark blue, then a light blue, and now i've been stuck with an ugly greenish/pale blue color for about 2 months. I absolutely hate it. If I would've known the only option to getting this color out was expensive professionals and damaging bleach, I would have never bought it. It has been 87 days and I'm sitting here with greenish/pale blue hair, very annoyed.
disappointing results, bled for days, UGLY GREEN for weeks. 2
Blue please! from Oregon
It very temporarily gave me a super super dark blue color, but it bled for 3 days after using it. It didn't stop bleeding until the blue was gone and I was left with a super ugly green. Not worth the hassle.

Stained my roots and scalp but barely tinted the rest of my hair.
STAINED HAIR 3
NOT HAPPY from Texas
this is by far the worst hair dye i have ever used. i used the teal on my blonde hair and it stained my hair a disgusting green shade once it faded. and yes, FADED because this does not wash out. i went to a salon and not only could they not lift out the color they could not even color correct it until it hopefully faded more. this was after months of fading already. i even tried dish soap and color stripping shampoo. nothing worked. i eventually had to cut all my hair off to get rid of the green. i reached out to loreal and they told me it was due to bleaching my hair. i have never bleached my hair in my life. i am naturally blonde and this was only meant to last during a vacation. if i could rate this in the negative i would. DO NOT USE ON BLONDE HAIR!!
PERMANENTLY STAINS HAIR DO NOT BUY 1

I applied this product on September 6th and it is now November 17th and I am left with blue green hair. I loved the product initially but started to worry after was 12 that it had stained my hair because it said it should be all out by wash 10. Well I stoped counting after wash 25 and went to my hairstylist today (who is my cousin) to try and fix it. She used a professional color lifter and it did not work. She told me that she has it never had somebody's hair not lift the color when using that product before me. She said it permanently stained my hair and now she's going to have to bleach it to get it back to the pretty blonde highlights I had before. I have lightish Brown hair with some blonde highlights and it is stained all over. I hope this review helps someone because I wish I had read it. Are used head and shoulders shampoo because I saw on Reddit that that has helped some people but it had no effect on me. Read the Reddit reviews on this hair product and you will see how horrible it is. First photo is how it looks right after I died it second photo is the green highlights I'm left with now.
Hot Pink on Bleach Blonde Hair Wonderful! 5
Kells from Florida
I used this product during quarantine as I work from home and this product lasted almost 2 months! Very easy application process and looked as beautiful as when I had this done in a salon before! To achieve a nice mauve look with the hot pink at the end of it fading, I recommend using purple shampoo. It will remove any brassiness and make your hair look beautiful! I am definitely purchasing this again as my hair just finished fading back to its platinum. No staining at all!!
Did not work at all 1

I am a brunette with hair on the darker side of medium and this colored everything but my hair. My arms looked like I'd murdered a smurf and my towel which was at one point a light grey turned a pretty bold shade of teal. My nails and nail beds, also blue. Feel like I don't need to do makeup for Halloween because my skin already looks like I've done teal/blue makeup (and only hit random body parts with that makeup). From all of this, I thought for sure my hair was going to be nice and teal. But oh boy I could not have been more wrong. I waited the 30 minutes and washed out the dye (per instructions on box) and then dried my hair. Wow what a change (sarcasm). My hair literally looks like I've done nothing to it except maybe colored the ends a slightly darker brown? Super frustrating. TLDR: 0/10 would not recommend
Worked great on my medium brown hair! 5
Julie from San Francisco
I was so surprised that it worked! Yes, my pillow is greenish/teal. Yes, the water still rinses green when I shampoo. But, it's teal hair dye--that's to be expected! I put my hair in a high pony, then applied the dye to just the pony tail. I had to comb it through cause I have thick hair. I love it!! PS I only shampoo once a week, so that helps keep the color fresh.
Stains Blonde hair 1

I used this on my blonde hair and before washing it it looked nice dark burgundy but then as soon as i rinsed product after applying it turned pink and has remained pink for over a month. It wont wash out just stained my blonde and even a color remover didnt take the pink out.
Worked well! 5

Hi! I've seen lots of not very good reviews for this product, but I used the light pink. I have dark blonde very thick hair so I bought two bottles of the pink, put one whole bottle in my hair and let it sit then washed it out. After it had completely dried I did the second bottle and it turned out wonderfully! If you have darker blonde hair consider doing this :)
nope. not worth it. 1

This was terrible. It left absolutely no color in my hair.
Okay. I have light brown/dark blonde hair, so I knew it wasn't going to be super bright or bold or anything. So I had some grace for it there. BUT NOTHING???? not worth the money. I also left it in longer than the box told me to, and still. NOT a TRACE. It literally doesn't look like I did anything to my hair.
Didn't work dont buy 1

Worst thing I have ever done 1
Mistaketousethis from Victoria,aus
I bought this product thinking it would be what it said on the box wash out and blue only now I have a green head of hair that even after being bleach hasn't gone away spent so much money trying to fix what should have been just a bit of fun while in lock down
i would never buy this product again 1
Mykaela from pittsburgh
i have tried everything to get this green color out of my hair using ketchup, ion color remover, vitamin c tablets with head and shoulders shampoo. i do not recommend this product it fades quickly to green and just looks terrible and will not come out.
Very poor 1

I bought this because I was considering dyeing my blonde hair pastel pink and I wanted to try it before fully committing. Well I'm still not sure because this product did nothing to my hair...
Worst dye I have ever used 1
swebb2356 from salisbury, maryland
If I could give zero stars I would. It washes right out after you put it in your hair. I have tried different amounts of time but it never stuck. I left it in my hair for an hour and a half and nothing happened. All this dye has done is stain my scalp. It it the worst hair dye I have used in years.
Not temporary 1
rthom89 from undisclosed
I was excited to try this out and to have some fun colored hair for a week or so, however, 5 months later, I still had the color in my hair. I had to pay a professional to dye over it, and even then you could see the green. I would not recommend unless you're wanting a permanent look.
absolute waste of money 1
Kiwigirl from nz
brought the red one to dye my sandy blonde hair for a party, not only have I not got a single bit of red in my hair, my roots are purple but the rest of my hair looks normal.
Pretty but stains so bad 2
cryxtal from milwaukee
The only reason i'm not giving this dye 1 star is because it is very easy to apply and doesn't stain clothes or pillowcases. However, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get this dye out. I've also tried the purple version of this dye and that one was even worse, fading to blue, and then eventually a gross puke green color that I could not get out no matter how many products I tried. Do yourself a favor and get lunar tides or arctic fox.
soft pink colorista! 1

My hair is LIGHT blonde. my hair is also virgin hair and very short so there shouldn't be a problem with it taking the pink color. i applied it and left it for 30 minutes like the instructions said. Washed it off and my hair was still light blonde???
