Comments about Smashbox Color Correcting Stick:

its a great little pencil, no more under eye circles!!!... HOWEVER Im not pleased with how much gets wasted thrown away during the sharpening process. The pencil should roll up, not have to be sharpened. and the sharpener doesnt catch the little shavings so all these crumbs of the concealer get stuck on the blade, then get tuck onto other cosmetic cases, smear around in my makeup bag, on my fingers when i reach for other items, ughhhh its annoying.

Comments about Smashbox Color Correcting Stick:

I bought the dark orange stick at an Ulta store. I tested it first, under one eye (with no foundation or primer), in the store. This corrector felt very lightweight on my skin. Almost too lightweight—kinda powdery. I first thought it'd be too orange but I kept going, using a sponge to blend it in. The sponge wiped it completely off. I reapplied and tried again, this time just blending the outer edges of the orange. That worked better. But I noticed the corrector flaked/pilled a bit on my skin and creased into my under-eye lines.

The good news: it wasn't too orange after all. It effectively canceled out the dark circle under my eye. I tried my usual NARS Radiant Creamy concealer (in Amande) over it and the orange didn't show though. I also tried a lighter NARS concealer shade (Walnut) and that one seemed to work better with this shade of orange.

I hoped this concealer stick would work better, as it'd be great for travel and cheaper than the Lancome color corrector. But I'm better off with Lancome's.

      About Me Natural Style

Comments about Smashbox Color Correcting Stick:

This product is a must for me. It's the best option I've found for concealing dark under-eye circles... provided (like me) you demand a **natural look.** No, it doesn't give you total coverage, but I find that the products that do conceal completely are too heavy and (IMO) horribly fake-looking. Even with some dark circle-age still showing through, this product really does make me look significantly less tired. I always finish one eye, then pull back to compare it to my other eye and think to myself, oh yeah, I can't get away with not using this.

Some tips I've found: Blend it in ON TOP of your foundation! I use a damp beauty blender to dab/push it into my Bare Minerals powder foundation, one eye at a time so it doesn't set. If you make the mistake of wearing it under your foundation (like I did at first), you may realize for the first time in your life that you are getting fine lines around your eyes. But blending it on top will minimize the creasing. You can also use eye shadow primer in your under-eye area for longer wear, but I find that it's not worth the effort except for special occasions. Without primer you can see it creasing if you get right up in the mirror, but it's not apparent if you're just standing at the sink washing your hands. I figure anyone who gets closer than polite standing distance should be able to handle my imperfections.

As for people's complaints about the glitter issue, yes, it does flake off little glittery paint chips. But it's super easy to prevent any of the flakes from ending up on your face if you do one simple thing: Every time you uncap it and before you apply it, take a tissue or small bit of paper towel, hold it around the stick where the painted part meets the base of the sharpened part, and twist. Any flakes or flakes that are going to flake will end up on the tissue and never on your skin. I have had zero flakes on my skin since I started doing this.

All in all, I think this is a great product!

Comments about Smashbox Color Correcting Stick:

This is horrible because of the outside! Little glitter particles go all over your under eye !
Don't get it ! I am waiting to hear back from smash box but they have yet to address this issue, Not Ulta's fault though. It might be good but I will never know cause this paint from the outside adheres to your under eye imo a potential eye risk. Smash Box appears not to care there are many reviews like mine ‍♀️

Comments about Smashbox Color Correcting Stick:

I love the product, however, I'm tempted to throw it out since the paint has flaked off the handle. I end up with gold glitter and black flakes on my face everytime i use it. The glitter/flakes have now transferred to all my other pieces in my makeup bag. ARGH. I have to do a thorough clean out of everything. It's not like you can easily brush these flakes off anything. The glitter STICKS - even using a q-tip w/makeup remover doesn't work. I have to scrape them off with a nail or tweezers.
