Most Helpful Positive Review Very glad I bought this
I've been using this (the green one) for about a week and wish I had ordered it sooner. I spent a good two weeks debating whether or not to get this product. I'm so glad I did! My skin type: it's on the lighter side (I'm definitely not pale, but I tend to use foundations that fall into the lighter category - at least in the winter/fall) and generally, it's relatively normal (the majority of my face is normal, not that oily, occasionally some dryness around/on my nose, no break outs); however, for the first time in my life (I'm in my early twenties) I've started having problems with my skin. About a month or so ago, I had a huge flare up of I'm not sure what (almost looked like mild rosacea), so I had a lot of redness. The redness was on my cheekbones, and I had some small red bumps on my cheekbones and below my eyes (they weren't pimples and would come and go), and some dryness under my eyes/high on my cheekbones and on the sides of my nose. It started calming down immediately after the flare and is MUCH better, but I still have some lingering redness. To combat that while I wait to get into the dermatologist, I ordered this because caking on full coverage foundation and concealer wasn't something that I was able to make look good (and I'm a more experienced make-up user), especially because I was also experiencing some dryness. I needed something lighter than a thick concealer that would cancel out the redness (and I even tried some different cream and liquid green color correcting concealers). I was skeptical of this product, but since the first time I used it, I've been in love. I actually use it all over my face, but I put on a little more product over the areas that are more red. I really like that it's not a super gel-like feeling like other primers (those have a tendency to make my makeup slip, they can feel too thick, and I feel like my makeup is caked on when I use them), but this product does still create a nice, smooth canvas. It's also thinner than those gel-like primers that have a tendency to feel too thick/heavy, which is something I like about it. Now, this is not a miracle product that immediately cancels out every last bit of redness and makes your skin look absolutely flawless. Obtaining an unrealistic standard such as that for a primer requires magic. HOWEVER, it does *drastically* reduce the redness (keep in mind that I'm having an unusual amount of redness on my cheekbones and around my nose and this is working a great deal for me). I've actually stopped using concealer on the redness and haven't needed to put multiple layers of foundation on just to hide it. Instead, I just use this primer, put foundation on top and maybe a tiny bit of concealer if I have any of the red dots/bumps in the area, and set it with the NYX color correcting yellow loose powder (which isn't a necessary step in concealing the redness...I use it simply because it brightens and sets my makeup in that area under my eyes/on top of my cheekbones). Bam, done. While every bit of the redness might not be completely cancelled out by this, any remaining redness definitely is gone once you put something like foundation on over it. For those that are concerned about it being green, once you rub this into your skin, the green isn't visible. Also, it has a brightening quality to it (for me, at least). It is NOT shiny, shimmery, or anything like that - it just seems to brighten up my skin. Also, this hasn't made my skin become oily at any point in the week that I've been wearing it. As far as its strength as a primer...I can't exactly speak to that because my makeup's staying power is already wonderful (as I said, I'm a more experienced makeup user, so my makeup pretty much doesn't budge because I'm a big believer in setting my makeup with powder. Until I started using this, I actually didn't use any primer). I can say that using this primer hasn't negatively affected my makeup in any way, though.
Overall, I'm really impressed with this product. Experiencing some skin problems (specifically redness) for the first time in my life has actually been kind of hard for me, but this product has made my makeup routine a lot easier and my check-ups in the mirror throughout the day a lot more pleasant rather than horrifying as they have been this past month. I love this product, but I wonder if it would be even better in a thicker formula, and perhaps even in a more pigmented formula. Those aren't negatives, though! Get this...you won't be sorry. I'll still be repurchasing this even after my current skin problem is sorted out.
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't seem to do anything. Once again with the NYX BRAND
Was very sheer.. I find NYX brand to have a little pigmentation in eyeshadows too. It didn't seem to correct what I needed it to.

Works really well to blend in the facial hair color
Perfect for what I needed
ArkieJane from Arkansas
This changes the tone of my foundation to the perfect olive. That is hard to find. Does have a slight pearl but does not show on my skin. Doesn't change consistency of foundation. Love this.
Subtle but perfect glow

I haven't tried any color but the pink. I am totally in love with it, however!
I either blend it in with my tinted moisturizer, or put this on right before I add mineral foundation.
It adds a gentle glow that really wakes up my pale skin.
Does a good job

I've been using this for a long time. I enjoy this for color correcting my redness, but I wouldn't use it as primer alone. If you layer it on top of a pore filling primer, I think it does a pretty good job pruning. Sometimes I wear it alone and get a lot of compliments on my skin!
Great for Color Correcting, but not for Pores

I have been using the green tinted primer for a week. I have sensitive combination skin with an oily t-zone.This product is great for color correcting redness on the face! I have tried it a couple different ways, mixed with foundation, mixed with moisturizer, and without foundation. I would not recommend the last as you have a green hue. It has worked great overall. There a couple of downsides to this product. One is if you have larger pores. This product does not really do anything for them. You would need a second primer to help with those. The second is it leaves your face shiny, so you want to add matte foundations with this to help combat the shininess. But overall this is a great redness color correcting primer.
I never want to be without this

I bought this to mix with my foundation. I have an olive complexion, and it's so hard to find a perfect match. I add just a dot to my current foundation, and now my face matches my neck perfectly. This will be a permanent supply in my makeup collection for sure!
The only primer i use
Jessymua from Yorkville
I started using this a few years ago as a sort of spot treatment to hide redness then i started using it as an all over face primer. A VERY thin layer (too much WILL give you a very pale green glow lol) and i just very softly buff it in with my foundation brush. It totally evens out my skin and now i get compliments all the time about how dewy and smooth and soft my skin looks. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRIMER!!
Did not help at all with the dark circles.

Yellow works for undereye circles
Bethany from Sunnyvale, CA
I use this on my undereye circles and it really reduces how bad they look. I can ever wear it without any other makeup and it blends in really naturally. I can't speak to how it is applied all over the face, as I only use it under and around my eyes, but it's the best solution I've found so far to disguise the (genetic - I'm 23) bags and discoloration under my eyes.
Best I've found so far

This REALLY helps even out my skin covers redness really well and helps me stay pretty matte throughout the day I have very oily skin
Everyday staple for me!
Wendy Darling from Plattsburgh NY
This primer plays well with numerous foundations and does a great job cancelling out my redness. I sometimes use it in tandem with other primers that are more blurring or pore filling and again it plays well with others...no pilling or other weirdness just great color correction.
Doesn't correct anything
Caligirl1234 from Rancho Cucamonga
The green is supposed to cover redness, it doesn't cover any discoloration including red areas.
Kait from Pdx
I couldn't get this to work no matter what. I have some typical Irish redness that isn't rosacea red and this just won't reduce or cover. It seems to disappear once foundation is put upon it no matter the technique of application. Super bummed.
Make my face dewy

I like it as a corrector i use the orange one but it my my fave very dewy and oily
Not as I expected!

I'm a huge fan of NYX Cosmetics but I found nothing special about this. It's supposed to be a color corrector for your base makeup but it made no difference.
Will definitely buy again

Not the best I've used
PB from Muncie, In
This doesn't cover slot of redness but adding a pore filler would make me think about buying it a grain for slight red days.

I don't really see a difference after using this primer.

This was one of the best products I've purchased. This will always be In my bag when I leave the store. Goes great with any foundation and is a must have without a doubt.
Primer where have you been my whole life
Angelina from North Carolina
I have been wearing makeup for over 30 years and I never used a primer much less than a color correcting one! This makeup step is so amazing to my overall look! I no longer have red spots on my face. It works!!! I look years younger. Definitely worth the time to add this step!
Under eye circles - yellow
Cosmic Sweetness from MA
I have 2 high end products to cover my eye circles. They are very dark! I tried yellow in the NYX correcting primer because yellow is opposite purple on the color chart. It ended up working better than peach for my skin tone. It's illuminating, light reflecting and has beautiful dewy look. It's a light weight formula. It took me by surprise for sure!
LMarko from Lancaster NY
I hoped this would cover my redness a bit better - it's a bit chalky going on.
