Most Helpful Positive Review Great for keeping my hair color looking great!
This is great for helping prevent fading between dye sessions! I've been dying most of my hair a multi-tonal blue/green/teal. This has been helpful to keep the colors bold instead of looking washed out. I usually go 4 days between washes, and begin with a pH Bonder treatment and the blue shampoo. My shower looks like I killed a smurf, but my hair color lasts really well between sessions.
Most Helpful Critical Review Just ok
I would give the smell of this stuff 5 star. However, I don't think it improved my color (orange/red) really at all.
And could someone tell me why in heck does some of the new shampoo's and conditioners hurt my scalp?
This stuff makes my scalp sore, like it hasn't been washed in 5 days. I also have noticed that after washing and styling my hair it becomes big and puffy like it has way to much moisture. I have to use the Redken anti snap before styling and it helps with the puff. So overall 3 stars.

This product was a complete waste of money. The blue in the conditioner immediately dissolved once I put it on my hair, so it did not neutralize the orange in my hair at all. Maybe it works on straight/wavy hair, but I would not recommend it for black natural hair (curly/kinky)

This looks great on my medium/ dark brown hair! Makes my hair feel a little heavy but I really recommend!
Becca from NYC
I dyed my hair midnight blue(dark blue) and I've been using this conditioner ever since. It's been about three/four months and this conditioner works pretty well.
Yes, it does make your hair feel like hay which is why I sometimes either use a hair mask or a non sulfate conditioner right after I use this.
Taking it back!

Absolutely the worst shampoo and conditioner I ever tried. My hair felt like a hay. I hate it! This one is going back to store as soon as possible.

So far this conditioner seems just alright.

It's okay for color -however it's not very moisturizing it makes my hair feel like wire. I have thick & curly hair they need to make a product for thick & curly colored hair.
Works great for curly hair.

I removed my dark brown hair color with color oops to let my natural color grow (it's gentle for all hair types) I bought this blue shampoo and conditioner first use made a big difference 👌. I will use it a couple more time to get the rest of the brass out. But I would recommend to anyone.
Great temporary fix
Hannah from Maryland
I used the shampoo and conditioner together to reduce the appearance of the brassiness, but in the end going to the hair salon was the best option to perfect the tone of my hair. This is definitely only a good temporary fix.

Did nothing to reduce red/orange tones in dark brunette hair. After a couple uses made my hair limp and lifeless. Its only redeeming quality is a light, fruity scent.
Worth the money, Great on bleached curly hair.

Smells really good and keeps the brassy tones away
I wanted this to work...
Molly from South Central PA
I really wanted this product to work for me. I selected it to tone down some of my natural brassiness; while it did that a bit, I feel like I would have had to use it daily to make it effective for that. I have a lot of very fine curly hair and the amount of silicone in this product already weighs it down too much after once weekly use. It's also making my scalp terribly itchy because of that.
Good for brunettes

I bought this after I dyed my hair darker brown for the winter. The blue color is really pretty, if you're into aesthetics, and it smells pretty nice. It seems to be protecting my color well so far. I find that if I use it close to my scalp, it does leave my roots looking greasy, which is a bummer. I don't think it leaves my hair feeling as soft and nourished as the purple shampoo for blondes. (I used that earlier this summer.) This is a good product, but not the most fantastic.
I wouldnt buy this product again.

I saw no improvement. I have medium brown hair with brassy roots
Blue = No Brass

The holy grail to combat the brass in my highlighted hair. I'm a brunette with highlights and this conditioner fights the orange tones that creep up on me. I use it everyday
Sweets226 from St. Louis, MO
I purchased this with the corresponding shampoo and it works great. It smells wonderful. The only con I have is it seems to be heavy on silicones which I try to steer clear of. It took about 3 washes for me with both shampoo and conditioner for me to notice results on my balayage.
I'll be using this product for my brassy looking hair
Ray from Medford, New York
I've used it twice in one week as the directions follow, it can be used 2-3 times a week. I've been trying to lighten my hair from brown to blonde, so this is great for the first process of transitioning and I really like the way my hair looks after it dries. Thanks Joico.
Lari from Saugatuck, MI
I have naturally dark hair, and I highlight/balayage my hair at least once per year. I've tried other products that have left my hair looking extra yellow or too golden (I also have hard water at home). This is the only conditioner I will ever use!

Smells great. Makes my light colored hair soft
librarian from Escondido, CA
Although I think the shampoo has more of the color toning effect, the conditioner adds to that and of course conditions the hair.
Not worth it.
ChristaMc from Texas
I have brunette hair that was lightened with the balayage technique. Stylist recommended this shampoo/conditioner to help with my hair's natural pull of the orange & brassy tones.....this actually made my hair more brassy and orange and actually darkened my blonde areas to a brass. Will not be using this again!
Definitely works to neutralize orange tones.
FindingDorry31 from Milford, NJ
This worked on my daughter's hair very well. She came home from the salon with what was supposed to be copper highlights. Well, they were carrot orange. This really toned down the color.
I have dark blonde hair with highlights and it helped to brighten my hair and made it super shiny.
Made my hair worse

Used with the shampoo. My hair was left more brassy and very dry
Tmh2010 from Cleveland,OH
Amazing - removed all of the yellow/ orange tones from my highly lifted dark brown hair
NamaD from Bixby
My hair was dry from coloring. Had a little brassy color too! But this took care of both problems! Love Joico!
Didn't work for me
Maddie from Milton, FL
An employee talked me into getting the blue shampoo+conditioner instead of the purple. My hair is light brown with blonde highlights. It did literally nothing to help the brassiness. I've went through the whole bottle of both without any results.
