Most Helpful Positive Review Best Ever
I bought this to use on my 5yr old daughters hair. She has fine unruly hair. I have been using this product now for 4 months and my daughters hair has grown down to her butt and is so healthy! It brushes easily and no more static! The bottle lasts almost 3months. So, if I break down the price by month its totally worth the money!!
Most Helpful Critical Review I am so torn on this product
I cannot decide if I like this cleansing cream or not. I have had it for a few months and I rotate using it between normal shampoo and conditioning. I was very unsure at first because I am a conditioner addict. It does leave my hair feeling clean and soft, but it also leaves it kind of dull looking. Almost giving it a greasy look. I love the packaging. It's very pretty. I find that I need to use about double the recommended amount because my thick, wavy hair really soaks it up. It has a very strong scent - it reminds me of a familiar herbal scent that I can't put my finger on. But if you are sensitive to scent then this is not the product for you. Overall, I like how it makes my hair feel and I love the one step process, but I think a standard shampoo and conditioner leave my locks looking a little brighter. I would say it's worth trying.

I use this when I don't want to take the time to use shampoo and conditioner separately. It works great, smells great, and I love the way it makes my hair feel!
Left my hair filmy and limp
Eeps from PA
It's gentle but I couldn't stand the way my hair felt. It doesn't remove build up very well and so my hair felt limp and caked up with filmy residue after a few washings.

Great Cleansing Conditioner
Bacchante from Alaska
This is one of my favorite purpose-made cleansing conditioners. It's rich, smooths through the hair well, cleans pretty well, and smells great. I can't complain about the product, so five stars. Sadly I will not be repurchasing. I have very long, thick hair and it's just a little absurd to spend this much on conditioner when COwash people know perfectly well we have literally hundreds of other options. If I see it on sale I might snag it. Some tips for those dead set on shelling out for this: mix a bit less than you would usually use with twice as much water in a travel bottle. It seriously makes it easier to use less and still get it through all your hair.
People who wash their hair frequently, use a lot of styling products, or haven't liked COwashing in the past won't love this.
Beach Wave Dreams
Brie the cheese from Eureka
I wash with this almost daily, even after the gym. It doesn't leave a heavy buildup, either. My hair tends to get oily at the scalp and dry toward the ends. This was just what my hair had needed. It balanced out my hair's natural oils, and with it my natural texture and waves. It cleanses without suds, so that took me by surprise. It leaves hair soft and scalp minty and refreshed.
Smells good but not the best cleanser
Yasmine from Indiana
My hair got oily within the day that I used this. It smells very good and for someone without Issues with oily hair it might be a better fit
This has replaced my shampoo and conditioner

I LOVE this product and I'm so sad that it has been discontinued. I was happy to find one last bottle at Ulta. I love the smell and how it gives just enough without being too much. I really hope AG realizes the made a mistake and bring it back 🤞🏼
I will buy this product again

I wasn't used to using a cream and missed the lather when washing my hair. But the way my hair looked after using this product was worth it. My hair is oily at the scalp and kind of frizzy at the ends. This tamed my hair without adding heavy product to the scalp. I love it!
Dry bleached hair life saver!!
Mammashair from California
Hate to give this such a raving review because I would like to keep this little secret to myself. My hair is bleached and dry and can only handle being washed a few times a week due to dryness. This cleansing cream is phenomenal! Between washes, I will put this in my hair with a little bit of water and leave in for 5-10 minutes. Then, I rinse it out and my hair is soft and manageable and clean. It moisturizes and cleans. Don't ask me how this magic happens, but it does. The pump is a great way to get just enough without overdoing it. I've tried all the high end brands and can tell you that this does wonders. Forget dry shampoo. Use this cleansing cream. It works way better and leaves hair soft, not tacky like dry shampoo. Love this gem!
Best cleaning cream!

I use this product daily. It works great with no build up.

I love this Shampoo but I wish it came in a bigger bottle. And actually has helped my over bleached hair feel soft and healthy again. And isn't falling out anymore from it being so dry.
New Pixie Was Difficult Texture-wise
Lizbot from Covington, LA
I'll preface this review by typing how excited I was to get a pixie cut that flattered my hair's texture. It was no means my first adventure with short hair, but I really had to rethink my regimen because: 1)I don't like washing my hair often- and neither does my scalp, and 2)conditioning wasn't going to be as necessary because all that sebum and my love of boar bristle brushes would be super helpful.
Within the first week of enjoying my fresh cut, I realized I was going to have to up my game styling-wise or invest in options better suited for my hair's texture. The once fuzzy and unpredictable pixie needed a cleansing conditioner. Enter the Ulta website.
I searched my options and filtered for the best ratings for my hair type and visited the store that same day. I'm so glad I did. My hair needed love. Now, almost a month later, I can tell you that my hair needed AG Hair Cleansing Cream.
Is it the tamest pixie ever? Oh, goodness, no, but it is suiting all my needs. My flyaways are nearly gone, my dandruff hasn't resurfaced, and my hair feels happy. Since my hair is more cooperative, I don't spend nearly as much time coifing as before.
I love it!
Cjorgensen from Henderson NV
My hair is very fine and dry, so this product works great.
My hair feels incredible!

I use a couple times a week. Rinse and repeat and no need for conditioner.
Thank you to my Ulta Hairdresser who recommended this to me!
Erika from Houston, Texas
I get regular haircuts and color done at Ulta. My hairdresser mentioned my hair had build up which I had been dealing with several months but had no idea on how to solve the issue. She recommended this product to clear all that build up and my goodness it worked great the first try! My hair doesn't feel gunky, oily, or gross anymore from that build up on my scalp. Now it feels smooth, clean, and brought my hair back to life.
I've used this cleaning conditioner for years!
Rocketmom from Dawsonville GA
I use have used this cleansing conditioner for years. It smells fantastic and I get comments on the scent a lot.
It cleans my scalp and hair without stripping my hair of the natural oils. I can go longer in-between washings with this cleanser. It's less expensive than WEN and works exactly the same.
would buy product again

I have highlighted, very fine hair which is somewhat curly underneath. I"m trying not to wash my hair every day but it's next to impossible. This is great for 2nd day and it cleans well and doesn't weigh my hair down. I don't use a conditioner but use a light leave in when I get out.
Great for frizzy messes of hair!
Kara3111 from Ca
My hair is bleached, wavy, dry, frizzy, and thick. I use this and can let my hair air dry with some sort of leave in cream or oil and I can tame it. I just use regular shampoo after a few days to get rid of any build up that occurs. If you have awful hair like mine you'll like this!
Kara from Ca
If you have dry, damaged, thick, wavy hair that dries frizzy this will be a god send for you. This leaves my hair feeling moisturized. I throw a little leave in hair oil or cream in afterwards and it air dries without making me look like a lion. Nothing else has ever done that before. Oh, my hair is bleached brown to platinum at the moment so it's pretty terrible. Lol. I can't believe I found something that works.
I would buy this product again.

This product cleans your hair of any oils and products that are left on your hair. The only thing that I did not like is that it does not suds up like shampoo. But the product works well.

First of all, thank you to Ulta for their Ultimate Hair Event so that I could try this for half price!
My hair is very dry, wavy to curly, fine, frizzy and thinning, with a dry, sensitive scalp. (Also I live in the desert and I take medication which unfortunately aggravates the issue.). I was overjoyed to discover cleansing conditioner a few years ago as it's so much easier on my hair. So I am fully comfortable with the no-lather aspect.
The pros of this were that it didn't irritate my scalp and the smell was mild, so no migraine.
However, several cons:
—This product has almost no slip. It was difficult to work through my hair unless I used so many pumps! It's very expensive already. I can't even imagine for thick or long hair. (I was surprised when I rinsed thoroughly that my hair was actually smoother than when I applied.) But,
—After repeated use, it created serious frizz. Worse, it was dragging my curls out and making my hair look stringy. (Despite shampooing in between uses.)
I just thought I was going through a tough hair time when I reverted to my Curlsmith Conditioning Wash. Thankfully, my hair was back to its good health! So, this AG product was a fail for me.
I gave a second star for it not irritating my scalp (It reacts to so many products it's frustrating!).
Of course ymmv.
