Comments about CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream:

I bought the medium/deep since I am naturally medium skin toned and with summer, got the darker shade to match my tan. I buy medium/deep products all the time without any issue. This was like tiger orange on me. I let it sit for a while to see if it would settle or oxidize down, but no. It was just orange. It was so ridiculous that I had to start my face over again. The coverage was also very heavy and not what I was expecting. I hate foundation and wanted something lighter with some coverage. This felt and looked like foundation to me. It's going to be donated to for play makeup. Maybe I would have better luck with a lighter shade, but I'm not willing to risk it.

    Not the best

    By Kylie

    from Texas

Comments about CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream:

This was pretty okay, but it had a weird grainy texture and didn't feel very light weight. Other than that, it had great coverage for a BB cream and lasted me a few months (I used it every weekday)

    BB Cream or Foundation?

    By MaryHadALilLamb

    from California

Comments about CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream:

Review as a BB Cream: although it lacks simple BB Cream characteristics such as spf, it still provides great even coverage and is a dream to blend. I love using this during the summer when I get tanner and the weather gets hotter so it lasts. (4 stars)

Review as a Foundation: coverage is great (almost full coverage and is buildable) and very lightweight/comfortable however the shade range is veryyy limited and is better suited for warmer undertones. (3 stars)

Overall I do recommend this product but I'm still unsure if this is a BB Cream or a foundation

Comments about CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream:

I was excited to try this product out. I bought the medium shade. I wanted something lightweight and easy to apply for the summer. Since this is a matte bb cream I thought it would be perfect. It applied nicely and I loved the finish. But a few hours in I noticed it had oxidized on my skin so bad. I tried it again the next day and sure enough, I was orange! When I first applied it the color matched fairly well. But a few hours in, I knew it would turn more orange. I returned it... sad because I liked the finish and the price of the product.

I love how lightweight the product is. I'm not a real heavy makeup user but wanted something to smooth my skin tone out without looking like I have a bunch of makeup on. I still apply my concealer and a little powder on top.

I love this bb!! It's very natural looking and it's more of a satin matte finish. I just wish that they had a better shade selection because the color fair is my summer color. If they made a few other lighter shades I would wear this all year.

      Need more shades!

      By Liv

      from Pittsburgh

Comments about CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream:

i really love the finish of this b.b. cream. it's matte without calling up & just really smooths out the skin nicely. it would be my perfect summer base but i can't find a shade that will work for me. i've tried the two lightest shades & both pull very orangey after setting down. during summer (when i'm using this product) i'm a light/medium olive & the shade match is just too off to wear for me :( i wish they would expand their shades but if you can find one that matches you this product is amazing.

Hello! This formula is lightweight and buildable. It's comfortable to wear but provides enough coverage to be your go-to everyday makeup. We recommend using it with Clean Invisible Concealer, but stay tuned for a new Clean Matte Concealer launching at ULTA very soon!

I'm so glad you asked this question! Scars are tricky to cover in general due to the fact that its texture differs from your natural skin. With white scars though, your skin's natural pigmentation has faded so you will need to use a concealer to fill in the scar and add color back to the area.

To start, I recommend applying your Clean Matte BB Cream as you normally would for daily application. ( Across the forehead, down the center of your nose, and upward across your cheeks until fully blended)

Next, apply CoverGirl Smoothers Concealer in one shade deeper than your scar's current color (which should match your natural skin tone) The amount to use will depend on the level of coverage needed but a good rule of thumb is to stop applying when the scar has almost disappeared. Once applied, gently pat the concealed area with your index finder to seamlessly blend the concealer into the foundation which will make it undetectable.

The final step would be to apply Outlast All-Day Matte Finishing Powder to set the concealed area which will keep the makeup in place throughout the day.

I have an oily nose and redness on my cheeks and nose, will this cover my redness without breaking up on my nose? I also have pretty sensitive skin, I don't get breakouts unless my skin doesn't like a product, will this make me react like that? I want something that's lightweight for summer time but covers redness and isn't oily. thanks!

Hello! This formula doesn’t crease in fine lines or the folds of the nose and it’s also not streaky. It does keep you matte with a velvet type finish or demi-matte finish which is really flattering. It is non-comedogenic, oil-free and it will not clog pores so you should not have any issues with breakouts (but we know that every face is different!). We hope you give this COVERGIRL staple a try. Happy summer!
