Tarte Clay Stick Foundation is like a nutrition bar for your skin. The full-coverage, powder-to-liquid formula melts into skin while micro-encapsulated powders burst with your body heat to keep you shine and cake-free. This vegan formula features antioxidant vitamins C, and Amazonian clay, a total skin-balancing powerhouse that hydrates or mattifies depending on your skin type. The guilt-free blend also means there are no harsh chemicals like talc, gluten, sulfates, or parabens in your buildable, decadent coverage. Use on-the-go, as a spot concealer, or in lighter or darker shades to highlight and contour - just swipe, blend and #slaywithclay.

For best results, apply with a foundation brush.
  • Twist-up foundation & swipe directly onto skin, concentrating coverage at the center of face to cover redness, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, pores & other imperfections.
  • Blend outward in small circular motions toward the jaw & hairline using the smoothie blender foundation brush.

Tarteist tip: Dot & blend foundation directly over acne, spots or scars to conceal or wear it a few shades lighter or darker as a creamy highlighting & contouring stick.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

This stick foundation covers well and is easy to apply. Even in the heat of summer, it stays on. Although it may feel a bit greasy to some, it's actually great for sensitive skin that is subject to stress breakouts and is often dry at times too. I am a hard color to match and this matches whether I have some tan on my face or not. Can apply with a brush or directly to skin, convenient and easy to toss in your bag.

    Fair beige

    By Bubbles

    from USA

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

Not as full coverage as I expected but it has a beautiful finish, a sort of demi Matte so it looks a bit more natural and less made up. Fair beige has a bit of a yellow tone to it. Doesn't cling, Goes on and blends smoothly. My skin type is combination with oily t zone and drier cheeks, for reference.

    By Nicole

    from Iowa

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

For the longest time I wanted to try a stick foundation, and this foundation is amazing. The tarte clay stick foundation is easy to blend with a brush or a beauty blender , and it glides on the skin not feeling sticky.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

This product was much softer and creamier than most stick foundations. The 1st time I applied it I pressed too hard and delivered more foundation than I intended. After that, I use a light touch when applying and have gotten better results. Because it's creamier, it blended very well. I only wanted a light coverage, & I was able to blend it easily & achieve that. I am quite oily, so I set it with powder and it lasted about as long as my other "better" foundations. I purchased this on sale so feel I am getting good value for my $$. Not sure if wouldn't buy this at full price.

      Not what I expected

      By Cass

      from wv

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

Just like other comments I was excited to try out this product, but unfortunately the formula is just too slick. I have combo/dry skin so I thought this would be a great match, however, it just doesn't want to work with any of my other products (primer, concealer, setting powder, I.E, my whole face.)

I am going to tuck it away to try in the winter, but for the time being, it's a No.

      Prefect Coverage

      By dvlbby

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

The first time I tried this foundation I fell in love. I usually use the stick foundation by MUFE or the TF born this way, which I still use, but this one just matched my skin and worked so well with my skin right off the bat. Every morning I use a cleaner and micellar water to clean off my face, then I use a toner and serum and face lotion with spf. Then i either apply a MUFE primer or just my foundation and other makeup and set with my All Nighter and I'm good all day. Nothing slid off or got patchy like I'm hearing. I usually blend with a beauty blender or my morphe y6, looks flawless and like real skin. First timeI wore this a stranger complemented me lol. I would definitely repurchase.

      Not the best...

      By annettemeows

      from Philadelphia

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

You reeeeaaaaally have to take the time to blend this, and be heavy with the setting powder and spray. I made the mistake of wearing this to a party, and it just broke apart.

      Horrible for dry skin

      By Lina

      from Los Angeles

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

Emphasized my dry patches no matter what primer, moisturizer, oil I used. It glides on smoothly but it bunches and flakes on dry patches horrible and it's so hard to smooth that out

I really tried to like this clay stick; but alas it wasn't for me. It broke and ran off of my face about 2 hours after applying and the real kicker it enhanced my pores! I couldn't believe it! I had to return.

Since that shade is from another brand, it's difficult to determine your exact match. Check out the online shade descriptions -- they'll tell you the ideal shade for each unique skin tone & undertone or stop by your nearest Ulta Beauty to test them out on your skin. • Q:

I cannot get this product to set - I've tried different primers, no primer, setting power, no setting powder, and it's still sliding off my face and becoming blotchy all throughout the day. Is there something else I can try to remedy this or is the stick just not for me? I have normal skin - not too dry or oily, not acne prone or sensitive.
