Tarte Clay Stick Foundation is like a nutrition bar for your skin. The full-coverage, powder-to-liquid formula melts into skin while micro-encapsulated powders burst with your body heat to keep you shine and cake-free. This vegan formula features antioxidant vitamins C, and Amazonian clay, a total skin-balancing powerhouse that hydrates or mattifies depending on your skin type. The guilt-free blend also means there are no harsh chemicals like talc, gluten, sulfates, or parabens in your buildable, decadent coverage. Use on-the-go, as a spot concealer, or in lighter or darker shades to highlight and contour - just swipe, blend and #slaywithclay.

For best results, apply with a foundation brush.
  • Twist-up foundation & swipe directly onto skin, concentrating coverage at the center of face to cover redness, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, pores & other imperfections.
  • Blend outward in small circular motions toward the jaw & hairline using the smoothie blender foundation brush.

Tarteist tip: Dot & blend foundation directly over acne, spots or scars to conceal or wear it a few shades lighter or darker as a creamy highlighting & contouring stick.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

When I first got this foundation, I actually really liked it, but I've noticed some problems when I wear it. It just won't stay on, and doesn't really set into the skin. When I touch my face it comes off on my fingers, and when you try to press it in with a beauty blender, all of the product just comes off. Love tarte, but this product didn't work for me.

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I returned this product after several attempts of trying different ways to blend it. It has a nice texture but is not blendable, goes on streaky and if there is the slightest skin gradiation it amplifies any imperfections. It stays heavy on top of the skin. I tried to use it as an under eye cover up, nope!

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

This is my favorite foundation, it has great coverage, it doesn't break my skin, you can even buy a lighter or darker shade to contour and highligh. The only minor problem that I have with it is, the only way to get a smooth application is to blend it out with a brush instead of a beauty blender

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

I really wanted to love this foundation, this was my first high end foundation. I was previously using fit me matte pore less by Maybelline. so I have normal to dry skin, and with this foundation maybe like after 2 hours of wearing it my face looked greasy, and after about 10 hours of wearing, my face looked like snake skin because the foundation either was soaking in my face, or I am not sure why it looked like that. I did not powder it throughout the day, didn't think I would need to. I never had to do that with my fit me foundation. this product does not blend well, you basically have to color in your whole face to have a good finish. I would not recommend this product. I will be returning and getting the new Maybelline superstay full coverage foundation.

This is my all time favorite foundation it goes on very easy I bought it with a kit that came with the brush and etc. it takes like a min to blend. Covers semi well but good enough cause I don't have acne or any breakouts. I wear it every day and I've gotten compliments on how good my skin looks

          Love!

          By J Gail

          from North Carolina

Comments about Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:

There are so many excellent reasons to buy this foundation. I have extremely dry skin and I am very pale. I've had to mix 2 colors in other foundations I've worn but not this. It is creamy, goes on smoothly, blends well, and lasts. My skin feels like it's moisturized with this foundation.

Since that shade is from another brand, it's difficult to determine your exact match. Check out the online shade descriptions -- they'll tell you the ideal shade for each unique skintone & undertone or stop by your nearest Ulta Beauty to test them out on your skin.
