Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

I am so happy with this palette,i have the first one and this one just adds more options to the first one, I would also like to say i am not upset that the colors have the same names but are different,in my opinion this was the smartest publicity stunt i have seen in a long time, why do people care that the packaging is the same, the colors are great! Also i do not understand the hostility some reviewers have towards tarte, lighten up,if you do not like the palette thats all you have to say.

Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

This product made me lose a ton of respect for Tarte. Clay Play 1 was amazing, but to take the exact same packaging and shade names for this volume 2 palette is lazy and unprofessional. The highlighter is glittery, chunky and fragile. Honestly this left such a bad taste in my mouth that I have a hard time reaching for my Clay Play 1, which was a fav of mine. They could have made vol 2 amazing but it was such a disappointment. Lots of duplicate shades from the 1st palette, too.

Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

Thise palette is a great idea, an all around multi use palette perfect for the everyday woman, however the highlight is very glittery and not for my personal preference. The packaging, shades, and shade names are all the exact same as the first and it seems very half done. Now if you want a great multi use palette get this! The pigmentation is there without being so insanely intense that blending is a chore. In other words, they all blend like a dream, and stay put, no fading at all. I think both vol. 1 & vol. 2 are great for anybody, especially for go to, everyday office appropriate looks but both are not needed.

Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

I'm a BIG fan of the first Clay Play Palette. This is SUCH a huge disappointment. If you have the original, don't bother with this one. The highlighter is useless. I've now seen COUNTLESS tales of the highlighter arriving shattered (it happened twice to me). It's extremely fragile, so travel (which is supposed to be a plus of a multitasking palette) is impossible. Even intact, the highlighter is a powdery, glittery mess. Though the blush is nice and two of the shimmers are good (the middle one is chunky), you're far better off sticking with the first one (since all the mattes are the same for the most part) and grabbing a blush and a single shimmer shadow and highlighter if you want them.

I was SO EXCITED about this launch. There's a reason it's not on Tarte's website yet and that Tarte is barely promoting it. I can only assume it's because they're trying to figure out a way to explain the lazy packaging. I've NEVER EVER seen a brand RE-USE the same packaging (names and all) for a new product. Onyx is associated with black (as in CP 1), NOT a mid-toned shimmer. Timber is brown, NOT a highlight shade. And Sm0ke is a gray or deep gray, NOT a light shimmer. It's a joke. They can play it off all they want but it was flat out lazy. The names don't even make sense in the new palette. I've always been a Tarte fan and this made me lose so much respect for them as a brand.

Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

If tarte can't put a little more effort into their products than this I'll just not spend my money on Tarte products, they used the same packaging names and all from the first clay play palette and changed just a couple of shades but kept the same names from the first, and the couple of shades that are different are just a glittery mess. Pure laziness and lack of care for their customers

Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

this palette has the same exact names and packaging as the original. I think they had extra palettes laying around in the warehouse so they had to fill them with something else. this is lazy and uncreative. the highlight is chalky and glittery. the original is way better.

Comments about Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Vol. 2:

They legit just used the same box with the same color names printed on the box from volume 1 for volume 2. The top row looks similar to volume 1. I bought this, thinking I could make a custom palette by combining them. The formula is nice and lasted all day but I wish Tarte would've put more effort into the palette itself. It's nothing diff than all the other palettes they release.

After we launched the original clay play palette, we took all the feedback from our loyal tartelettes and wanted to quickly come out with a sequel that addressed everything you asked for! We created a new outer packaging box to easily differentiate between the two versions, but utilized the same compact design so that we could bring you the updates as soon as possible. Version 1 contains all matte, neutral shades with 3 contouring powders, while Version 2 swaps out some shades to add 3 luster shadows, 1 contouring bronzer, 1 blush and 1 shimmering highlighter!
