Most Helpful Positive Review Love It I really like this conditioner. It works very well with the shampoo. I like the thick, creamy consistency. It has a light clean scent, not too heavy. A lot of time mainstream, salon conditioners are not well formulated for African-American hair but this surprised me. It detangles and rinses out easily. Doesn't leave any residue or feel heavy. I usually have to use a lot of product after washing my dry, frizzy, damaged hair but surprisingly this left my hair feeling super smooth and soft. I didn't have to use a flat iron to get my hair smooth. I had a lot less frizz than usual and my hair felt really healthy and clean. It made styling my hair easier, and I felt my hair style came out looking better because my hair looked healthy. I really like this product!
Most Helpful Critical Review Pump doesn't work!!! I really enjoy this shampoo. I have curly/wavy thick hair and it does Leave my hair smoother and coats it nicely. Smells good. I bought this to replace a Pureology shampoo. And it does hydrate a little more than the Pureology. The only complaint I have is the pump doesn't work!!!!! It's very frustrating to have to twist off the pump and pour the shampoo in my hands while trying to avoid getting water in the bottle. We're in the middle of a pandemic so it's not like they're fully stocked for an exchange. But After reading reviews it seems like the packaging is the biggest flaw to this product. It may not seem like a big deal but keep in mind it's definitely not one of the cheapest products. The least they can do is make the packaging function-able!!!

Product has unpleasant fragrance and texture is way too thick. Difficult to squeeze out of container and work through hair. Conditions okay, but I still have frizzy hair! Not worth the money.

The product is good but it is very difficult to squeeze the bottle, particularly with one hand when your in the shower etc. Please consider the thickness of the product and how to release it easily. Won't buy it again for this reason.

I've been using this conditioner along with the shampoo for a month and I love how my hair feels. It is less frizzy and more sleek and smooth. A little goes a long way. It conditions on the heavy side but I like that. It also smells great. I think this is a great product for curly hair.

I have long, thick, and frizzy hair that I can never tame in humidity. This conditioner is the most effective frizz control I have ever had! Even in the humidity outside, my hair is completely free of frizz. You don't have to use a ton of the product for it to be effective and it smells great too!

This is a very nice conditioner, I have been using it with the matching shampoo and I am quite impressed. It is very thick and creamy and smells wonderful. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and pretty frizz free! I also really like the bottle. It has a squeeze top valve that doesn't require flipping a lid open. You can turn the lid a bit to lock it if you want to prevent it coming out during travel

I used this with the shampoo as a system so I can't speak to the conditioner alone, but I can say that together, they work like a dream. I received the conditioner (and shampoo) during the most humid days this summer--perfect timing! The conditioner is luxurious and isn't over-scented. It smells clean and leaves my hair feeling smooth, shinier, and frizz-free without weighing it down. My hair still has nice body. Packaging is really pretty and dispenses the product cleanly/neatly (dispensing method is unique), but I knocked off a star because the conditioner is so thick, it's nearly impossible to squeeze out of the tube unless you store the bottle upside down. I would suggest Alterna flip the packaging and have the cap on the bottom.

This conditioner pairing with the same brand shampoo makes a great rescue duo on damage hair. My hair is so soft, looks full and smell great after the first use. Because it's easier to comp so there is less broken hair. I'm so grateful that I have found this shampoo and conditioner.

I am so happy with these products. I have extremely thick, curly hair that gets frizzy and out of control easily. Just after 1 wash my hair looks and feels so much better! I will be buying this again and recommending it to friends!

Just like the shampoo the conditioner has the twist top, just the best design in my opinion. The texture is very different from what I'm used to, it's think and has the consistency of soft cream cheese. I do like it though because it seems like I don't need as much to cover all my thick long hair (the bottle should run out about the same time as the shampoo). I wish the scent was better, it's a very light chemical smell (couldn't smell it though after rinsing it out). Left my hair nice and soft.

Would expect something like this to be in a high end spa. The packaging and feel after makes it a high end product. Does tackle thick and worn hair. Only thing is that the top is a twist top and not a snap off so took a while to figure out

I have been using the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Smoothing Anti-Frizz Conditioner for my thick curly hair. The difference that it has made is that I can leave my hair down on high humidity days & my curls stay in good shape with less chance of frizz happening. This product leaves a nice clean fragrance after rinsing and only takes a small amount of product to work effectively. The design of the bottle is nice in that you just twist the cap to open; however the conditioner really takes a hard squeeze to make it come out. Overall, it's a great conditioner for my hair & I will continue using it.

Paired with the Shampoo. It gave it its best effort. Was not able to tame my frizz. But did work wonders for my daughters. Great scent. Leaves hair soft and manageable.Even though it didn't do much for my thick curly hair. I still think its a great product and would buy again for my teen.

I've been using both the shampoo and conditioner for about a week now and love it. The conditioner is great at conditioning my hair. Though it's super thick (think body butter cream thick) it doesn't weigh your hair down at all. My hair is on the lighter side so my hair has lots of volume. The only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's so thick it's hard to squeeze out the bottle. I had to press it against the wall to get some out. Once it's out it's easy to apply and coats your hair well.

Like the shampoo, to open the bottle, you twist the cap and squeeze. It looks like any other conditioner- it looks like a thick white blob. But a little goes a long way with this conditioner. At first, I tried to squeeze a good amount out of the bottle, but I actually had trouble doing so, so I just tried the amount I had. It spread nicely, and it covered my long hair. After I rinsed it out, it felt like it left a layer of soft protection. But it did not feel heavy. I suggest storing upside down.

I went on a two week trip to the keys and brought this with me in addition to the products I normally use. I'm glad I did. It smelled great while in the shower and my hair wasn't the frizz ball it normally is. Definitely recommend.

I like the bottle that this conditioner comes it with a twist top. I think there was a faint fragrance to this conditioner and liked that it wasn't over powering. It is a very thick conditioner and felt like I used a little more than I typically would. I let it sit for a few minutes and when I washed it out, my hair was super soft. When I was ready to blow dry it, it felt like I had product in my hair and thicker than normal. I will say it worked moderately well but still had a little frizz. Overall, I liked this product.

I like this conditioner. I love how it makes my hair feel so soft and shiny. My hair does not get greasy from the conditioner. It also helps to decrease the tangles I get from washing and conditioning my hair. And my hair brushes out nicely. I would be all about this product, but it has done nothing for my frizz. I live in an area that has very high humidity. I guess what I am saying is that I like how this product makes my hair feel I just wish it would of worked for me to tame my hair down.

My 13 year old has very thick cury frizzy hair. I have tried numerous products with no relief. I had high Hope's for this product. We used it several times but never noticed a difference in her hair. The product is very thick, doesn't really have a smell and didnt even condition her hair. It still felt really dry and didnt relive her tangles.

I used the shampoo from this brand and really liked it. I used the conditioner as well. The conditioner somehow does not smell the same as the shampoo. It is an okay scent but the shampoo smells much better. I liked the idea that the product comes out from the top of the cover after you twist it, but i do not think it is a good idea for the conditioner. I had to squeeze the bottle at least 5 times for it to come out. It is too thick for the opening. My suggestion would be to change the packaging to make it easier to dispense. After rinsing my hair it felt like not all of it rinsed off. My hair felt greasy. After my hair was dry in the morning i was impressed with the results of using both the shampoo and conditioner. My hair was 75% frizz free and felt soft. I will definitely purchase these in the near future and will possibly try other products from this brand

This conditioner smells amazing. I really love the design of the bottle. A simple twist of the cap and you squeeze and have conditioner in seconds. However i do have to say i struggled to get this out of the bottle. I think the cap needs to be able to come off for at least the conditioner due to it being thick. I did notice my hair feels soft and not as many fly aways. After styling my hair.
