I have a skin complexion that is closer to the "light" tint, and when testing out different BB cream tints, I found that the light appeared darker on the skin than it should be (a little orangish?), so if you think you're the "light" complexion I would actually buy the "fair", which turned out to be much better suited to my skin even though my skin isn't that fair. The texture was acceptable, lotion like, but I still use a separate moisturizer before using the BB cream because I have drier skin outside of the T zone. It does give your skin a nice healthy glow, which is really all I wanted it for. I think it's a tad overpriced though for such a small bottle.
I tried this product on a whim after seeing the ad. I have very oily skin and can't use a ton of product steps like many brands want you to do, so I thought that a product that had it all would be an alternative that was worth a try. My skin tone is also hard to match, but the "light" worked well enough, so I made the plunge.
I like how this blends into the skin -- like your basic tinted moisturizer. So, you don't need the absolute perfect match like you do for a true foundation. This sinks into the skin to basically smooth out the complexion and not completely cover it up to start over like foundation. That ends up making your face look very natural and almost no demarkation line on the chin. So, if your skin is basically clear this is good, but it wouldn't work if you are trying to cover up blemishes or dark spots. It ends up making a nice, smooth palette to work with for shadows and blush.
What I didn't like was the consistency of the product. It is very thick, and is hard to spread. So, if you are not quick and careful, you could end up with a big glob in the middle of your forehead that does not easily spread over to the sides. To get around this, I use smaller amounts at a time and work it onto my face in quadrants. This is not horrible, but just not as convenient as I would like it to be.
Also, for me, it did not control oil. (But to try to be fair - because I am very oily to start with, this is hard for any product to do.) If I put this on at 8am, I am needing my blotting papers by 11am. That's the same as I get with just mineral powder or foundation, so that product claim isn't valid for me at all.
Overall, I think the product is just OK. Especially for the summer, it is nice to have a lighter layer on my face. I'll use up the tube, but at this point I probably will not repurchase it.

having a combination dry and oily skin, in my 30's. This bb cream feels and performs extremely well, for the Las Vegas heat and a cute mask.

I have normal/combination skin and this product just seemed to lay on top of the skin. It didn't sink into the skin and wasn't long lasting even with a setting spray on top.

I would definitely not but this again. The smell of the SPF was overpowering, the product itself felt heavy and left me looking like an oil slick even after proper skin prep. I know it's a BB cream, but this provided zero coverage or evening out, my skin actually looked better once I washed it off. I bought the shade "Dark" and it was way too light. For reference, by go to shade is MAC NW50.

This BB cream is my all-time favorite. I've used it for years and years and I keep coming back to it. I don't like a full cakey coverage, so this medium coverage is perfect. I wish there was a bigger shade range, I often have to buy 2-3 shades and mix to make a custom shade that works for my beige skin. I love that it cuts down on layers you have to apply to your face. It has sunscreen and primer in it which is amazing. I will definitely keep buying this. It's a well-kept secret honestly.

After reading good reviews I decided to buy this over priced stuff in hopes it would be great. WRONG. It's not blendable/spreadable at all. I don't know if it dries too fast or what. I was so cakey and terrible to apply, as directed and after I mixed it with some moisturizer to see if it would help. Terrible. Will be returning.

I have oily, large pore skin. But I am also 50 and although I do not have flaky dryness, I do have tightness and those areas are prone to redness (laugh lines mostly). I was looking for something sheer that would give me some moisturizing benefits. This BB cream did not disappoint!! It probably does not add enough moisturizer for truly dry skin, but it does definitely block oil production and shine, and when I take it off my skin feels more balanced then before - soft and smooth to the touch with no grease/oil, and it does not hurt to yawn anymore. I apply this with a damp sponge and then set with Stila In The Buff powder. This application is not visible - just looks like my skin but better and stays with a fresh matte finish all day.

I use this product daily for work. I was recommended this by a store employee who matched my color to my skin. It was a blessing! I have fairly oily skin & normally have a hard time with being oily by EOD and haven't had this issue since using! It's amazing and smells like a light sunscreen :)

I wanted to love this product because I like their 16-hour foundation, but wanted something lighter with SPF. But no matter what I do this stuff gets cakey on me. I moisturize, prime, use fingers (like they recommend), use dry sponge, wet sponge, expensive complexion brushes -- it always cakes.

I don't hate this but I also don't like it either. It's a super thick consistency, so I find that it makes it hard to Blend out. Especially if you are someone to use a sponge over a brush for blending you won't like this. It doesn't stay on great either. It's kinda pricey the amount you are getting and with it being hard to blend out I feel like I have to use more product. I think if you are someone with a dry even complexion this may be something for you, it's not that much coverage, but it's a bb cream so that is to be expected. Overall it's not a bad product it looks good on my skin I just feel like I have to work harder to get it to look nice verses using bb creams or foundations.

I wish that I could give this BB cream 0 stars. It applied fine and at first it looked flawless. However, after about an hour, it dried on my face and left it SO patchy-looking. I went home to wash it off immediately after I saw what I looked like. My face felt so tight and irritated. I had to return it.

I bought the primer and this foundation together, and I've been using these two together for the past month. They have cause to break out so much. I usually have clear skin so my skin routine in minimal, just a cleanser and a toner. So I'm guessing if you have an amazing skin routine then you could probably get away with using these and not breaking out.

This was recommended to me by a representative and I should have tried the color and texture in the store. The color is too light seems thick, not smooth and creamy. I have a lot of pigmentation on my face but this is just too thick and I feel like I am wearing a lot of foundation. Even if the color was right I'm not happy with the texture.

The Light color is perfect...not pale at all. It doesn't glide on as easily as it did in the store. I'm wondering if adding a little moisturizer will help with the application or if it will dilute the coverage? Have to experiment. It feels weightless on my face.

This BB cream looks great on my skin, very natural except that it does start to look oily after a while if you don't use a matte primer or powder. I use it as a foundation. This is the first BB cream/foundation that doesn't look dry on my skin and I've bought really expensive foundations that don't work as well as this one. Very happy with my purchases!

I let an Ulta gal talk me into buying this because she said it would not settle in my pores or fine lines. Well it did and even though it has primer in the formula it still broke after about 2 hours. And guess what, the directions on box say to Reapply every 2 hours. What woman reapplies their foundation every 2 hours - not this one.
Rose from New Jersey
I've been using this for years and it is the best BB cream out there. It gives you great coverage yet does not feel heavy on your face....I use it on my no makeup days and my skin just looks flawless!!!
Ashley from Florida
Goes on smooth and blends well. I like that I can wear this alone or add foundation/powder on top of it for a fuller coverage.
Fashionista2541 from Dallas, TX
I have tried soooo many foundations and products and this one I continue to come back to. I combine it with a drop of another foundation and it gives me full coverage and looks flawless. Love it!

Smash Box was the only brand that matched my skin tone the best. I tried nars and bare minerals tinted moisturizers but none of them seemed to match perfectly. I love the BB cream because is light and gives me another coverage for these hot Florida summers. I don't need to add any other makeup except some finishing powder.

I am truly amazed. For 14-15 years, I have had to use full coverage foundation to hide my scars and discoloration. This BB cream has been a lifesaver. I don't feel the need to wear the heavy foundations anymore, unless I really want to. This is great for everyday use and my coworkers have noticed a huge improvement in my skin's glow and my scars are barely noticeable. Buying again and again!

This product just just moved around my face and never blended in. I have never experienced such a bad product. Maybe it's my dry skin or maybe the product was bad, but either way, I returned this promptly!

The price has gone up quite a lot in the past two months😳may not be in the budget next month.

I thought I would love this and well... It's not bad. Highly recommend for sensitive skin. I have absolutely the most sensitive skin and it didn't not cause redness or breakouts. It is a tad sticky so best to use a primer. I would say apply quickly. It does blend well too. It doesn't cover dark melasma but it will cover lightly. It looks pretty good on for a bb creme. Light coverage. It does not work well with dry skin or very very mature skin. Tried this on my mom and it was not a good result. Liked it on myself though. I think it needs a setting spray!

This is my first negative review. I only use tinted moisturizer I am not a big fan of heavy coverage. I have been using the same tinted moisturizer for years I thought I would branch out. The lady put this on my cheek in the store looked beautiful I jumped at and purchased it. When I actually did my makeup routine the next day and put this on it was very drying and exaggerated any dryness on my face. My routine includes a serum and moisturizer, then an oil (smash box oil primer) primer so my face is good and dewy. I couldn't believe how bad it looked. I wouldn't purchase this again.

I had always used the Smashbox cc cream and was disappointed when they discontinued making it. Tried this and love it even more! Good color, blends well, stays put all day, and look natural. Light coverage but perfect for many occasions, especially summer!
