I have sensitive skin and I find that especially in the winter, my face is dry, red and cracked with frequent breakouts. No cleanser or moisturizer seemed to help. They would only make my skin break out more and even more dry. In February, I walked into a Bare Escentuals Boutique @ Tuttle Mall and Abby walked me through the products, then sampled them on me. I cannot thank her enough! She suggested my dry skin was actually breaking me out and creating the redness and breakouts. She suggested that I use the Oil Obsessed Cleanser, Skin Longevity and Butter Drench. It was the best money I've spent on skincare! The cleanser goes on dry, so I usually massage it into my face right before I jump into the shower (feels like a spa treatment, goes on so silky and easy massages into skin--super relaxing too). The light essential oils scent is relaxing, and it feels great on my dry skin. Once it comes into contact with water, it turns milky and washes right off. After the shower, I apply the Skin Longevity and then the Butter Drench. My skin instantly felt healthier and my breakouts cleared up in a week and I've been using it for about 2 months now. I've read other reviews that say that the fragrance of this skincare line burns their skin. If anyone's skin has tiny cracks or blemishes that are open, any cleanser or lotion will burn slightly. Plus, Abby told me that the fragrance is from essential oils and therefore is a natural fragrance. I noticed some mild burning with the Skin Longevity and Butter Drench randomly (not every time, just once in awhile), but its nothing I haven't felt with other creams/cleanser and it never any lasting irritation and no redness. If anything, it might be the essential oil fragrance. I've used lavender and tea tree oil mixed with oils at home and they can sting a bit too. But like I said, never any lasting redness or damage to my skin. In fact, my skin has never looked better! Okay, so the Butter Drench is h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y! Out of the 3 step skin care routine, the Butter Drench cream is my favorite! It goes on like a silky and rich spa treatment. The light scent is lovely. I have found that sometimes it does burns a little, but I think its because my skin is very dry/sensitive and sometimes has tiny scratches/opens that react to the essential oil fragrances. However, it is always temporary and goes away without leaving redness and doesn't bother me at all. I truly believe this lotion has saved my skin! I thought I might break out because of how rich and creamy it is, but the opposite happened. My skin cleared up, and now looks soft, dewy, plump and more elastic! My skin has not looked this good since before puberty! I feel so pampered every time I use it. Love love love!!! The only con is that the Butter Drench is a rich cream, and takes about 10 min to set into my skin, so if I go to bed before it has absorbed, there is a slight greasy feel against my pillow (sounds gross, but honestly the pros outweigh the cons and I haven't noticed any stains on my pillow.) So glad that I finally found skin care products to rescue my face! I have used BM products for years, and every time I find an amazing product from you, you no longer offer it. I used to use Sorbet blush, and it was discontinued; however, nothing in your replacement line compared to the original, shimmer free soft peach blush.
