A lightweight, quick-absorbing spot treatment specifically designed to target large, under-the-surface bumps or cystic acne breakouts. Buffering Lotion works overnight to help reduce the appearance of existing bumps. Gentle ingredients (like allantoin and niacinamide) help normalize skin and improve the look of troubled areas.
Shake well before applying directly onto affected areas with clean fingertips. Use every evening. Do not apply anything over the Buffering Lotion (such as moisturizer or night cream). Do not use this as a preventative product; it should only be used when necessary on active blemishes. Do not apply to eye area. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water.

Precautions: Not recommended for use with topical prescriptions or sensitive skin. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water. If skin irritation develops and persists, discontinue use.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

While I wouldn't classify myself as having acne, I do get breakouts. Unfortunately, I get cystic breakouts on my chin quite frequently. They are painful, embarrassing and take forever to go away so I've been searching for a product to help...THIS IS IT. I put it on the 2 affected areas on my chin at night, woke up the next morning and they have noticeably reduced in size! If you suffer from cystic breakouts, I HIGHLY recommend trying this!

    REALLY WORKS!!!

    By Marie

    from Texas

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

Almost 30 and cystic acne popped out of nowhere, ugh!! Along with cleanser toning moisturizing this as been an incredible lifesaver! At night (product leaves a white residue) after cleaning regimen, I add this to those pesky red deep under skin bumps (along with drying lotion on top) and wake up to alot less red not so big little bump. I feel like putting this on as soon as you feel one coming will definitely stop those annoying bumps right in their tracks, lol. Only been using for 2 days, and loving results!!!!

    Use with drying lotion

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I don't have severe acne but when I get a break out on my chin I want to cry because of how terrible it looks and feels. I bought it for me cystic pimples that I randomly get. These pimples will get large and painful under my skin but never come to a head. I used it by itself and didn't notice a difference. Then I read some people were using it under the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. And HOLY MOLLY! It works. I had a breakout on my chin of cystic and regular white heads I normally just use tea tree oil for my pimples and play the waiting game as to not put too many chemicals on my face but I needed to get rid of this breakout fast for a upcoming trip. I used the combo at night and the next morning I was SHOCKED all of the pimples were significantly less red and inflamed. Definitely a go to if you need to get rid of a break out fast.

        It works!

        By Bree

        from USA

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I tend to pick at my cysts (part of skin excoriation disorder), which either results in them coming to a head or leaves me with an ugly scab that scars over. Using this a few times a week (in addition to the Drying Lotion) has really helped level out those pesky little bumps. It doesn't leave a residue either, and dabbing a little on your oily spots helps reduce shine as well! A little expensive, but it lasts forever. Definitely buying again.

        I don't understand the hype?

        By S

        from PA

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

I bought this because of the good reviews but it didn't seem to do anything. The acne I had didn't get smaller, in fact I got more acne (not saying it's because of the product, just saying it didn't do anything to help). It might be because it contains alcohol which makes it very drying, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on your skin

        • Q:

I have a few cystic pimples that become inflamed and then return to a smaller size, but I can still feel them under my skin. Is this product better for calming them down when they're inflamed, or can it work for reducing the size/eliminating the pimple when it is smaller, too? Is it possible to completely get rid of the cysts?

The Buffering Lotion should be applied after cleansing and toning, however we do not recommend using a moisturizer after.
How to use: Shake well before applying directly onto affected areas with clean fingertips. Use every evening. Do not apply anything over the Buffering Lotion (such as moisturizer or night cream). Do not use this as a preventative product; it should only be used when necessary on active blemishes. Hi, do I use this as my last step of my skin routine, like on top of my moisturizer? also, I have red under the skin breakouts as well as lots of blemishes on my chin and jawline area, do I use this only as spot treatment or do I blend it out around the affected area?

          1 answer

          • Brand Expert

            A:

Our Buffering Lotion is a spot treatment for deep under the surface bumps, it is not suggested to be applied over large areas of skin, instead it should be focused directly on the breakout.
The Buffering Lotion should be applied after cleansing and toning. No moisturizer or additional spot treatments should be used over this product.

        • Q:

Hi there, i have been using Mario Bedusco Buffering for few months, it had cleared most of my cystic acne, i just have really small two cystic acnes left on each cheeks. I was just wondering does the cystic acne vanishes by itself underneath while using it for few weeks or do i always have to wait till its flared up for me to squeeze out the seedy acne underneath my skin? Most of the time after using buffeing lotion i had to do that to my old cystic acnes which cleared up. Thanks.

          1 answer

          • Brand Expert

            A:

Our Buffering Lotion is best suited for bumps under the surface of the skin or cystic acne breakouts. We recommend not popping or squeezing the breakouts, especially cystic acne, to avoid causing scarring.
