A lightweight, quick-absorbing spot treatment specifically designed to target large, under-the-surface bumps or cystic acne breakouts. Buffering Lotion works overnight to help reduce the appearance of existing bumps. Gentle ingredients (like allantoin and niacinamide) help normalize skin and improve the look of troubled areas.
Shake well before applying directly onto affected areas with clean fingertips. Use every evening. Do not apply anything over the Buffering Lotion (such as moisturizer or night cream). Do not use this as a preventative product; it should only be used when necessary on active blemishes. Do not apply to eye area. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water.

Precautions: Not recommended for use with topical prescriptions or sensitive skin. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse well with water. If skin irritation develops and persists, discontinue use.
Isopropyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Zinc Oxide, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Allantoin, Biotin, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Pyridoxine HCl, Propylene Carbonate.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

purchased in October 2017 - I had just come back from travel in Europe and my skin was freaking out. This completely changed my skin and healed my blemishes without over drying. Bottle last about 4-5 months. Worth it.

    It works!!!

    By Marz

    from California

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

Works great on my problem skin & the occasional, dreaded cystic acne (I have pcos). Much better and faster than any prescription topical I ever got and doesn't reek like some other treatments. It is drying and runny but that's not a deal breaker for me.
Contrary to recommendations, I use it day&night, under moisturizer & makeup, and haven't had problems.
I'd describe my skin as hyper-sensitive, reactive, stressed and breakout-prone. I'm also quite pale, with cool pink undertones so breakout redness banishing is important to me.

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

Amazing product for stubborn deep, cystic acne! I woke up to a sore, red pimple on my upper lip and as soon as I noticed it I put this product on it and within 24 hours it was already less red and in the following days it did not get bigger and has been getting smaller/less red and it is almost gone! I know if I didn't use this product it would have gotten worse and I would probably be dealing with it for weeks. This product doesn't do as well on regular pimples, just those deep sore terrible ones that never come through and stick around for forever!! You won't regret this purchase. You only use a little and so the bottle will last you a long time.

    Best spot treatment

    By Ashley

    from New Jersey

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

This is the best acne spot treatment I have ever used and one of my favorite MB products. Once I get a large bump on my skin, I put this on and the bump is either white the next morning and ready to go or the bump is gone and just leaves a red spot in it's place. It can get very drying so I would suggest moisturizing a lot before and after use.

I have used everything for my cystic acne and acne vulgaris. I have all of the prescription creams as well as oral antibiotics. Nothing can top this buffer from Mario Badescu! Just gets rid of cystic acne in one to two days depending on if you can use it during the day or only at night. It is like a miracle in a bottle! Please never stop making this product as I think it is better than anyting several dermatologists have given me. Thank you!

Comments about Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion:

This product is the greatest thing I have found for my acne. I have eczema, dermographia, sensitive/oily skin, and acne. Most acne meds make the eczema flare up, and eczema meds make the acne flare up. But this product has healed acne I have had for months, and I tried proactiv, Clinique, and drugstore brands and nothing worked, but I saw this online and wanted to try it out. After 2 weeks of using it every night (and sometimes in the day), I have my skin back. The only bad thing about this is it has an alcohol base so it burns any open acne areas, but the burning goes away within a minute of putting it on. Seriously this is the best product I have found in years and I'm so glad I finally found something so my skin doesn't hurt constantly!!!

The Buffering Lotion should be applied after cleansing and toning, however we do not recommend using a moisturizer after.

Hi, do I use this as my last step of my skin routine, like on top of my moisturizer? also, I have red under the skin breakouts as well as lots of blemishes on my chin and jawline area, do I use this only as spot treatment or do I blend it out around the affected area?
Asked on 1/30/2018 by Kim from Richmond, TX

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

Our Buffering Lotion is a spot treatment for deep under the surface bumps, it is not suggested to be applied over large areas of skin, instead it should be focused directly on the breakout.
The Buffering Lotion should be applied after cleansing and toning. No moisturizer or additional spot treatments should be used over this product.

      • Q:

Hi there, i have been using Mario Bedusco Buffering for few months, it had cleared most of my cystic acne, i just have really small two cystic acnes left on each cheeks. I was just wondering does the cystic acne vanishes by itself underneath while using it for few weeks or do i always have to wait till its flared up for me to squeeze out the seedy acne underneath my skin? Most of the time after using buffeing lotion i had to do that to my old cystic acnes which cleared up. Thanks.
Asked on 1/27/2018 by Riff from LA

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

Our Buffering Lotion is best suited for bumps under the surface of the skin or cystic acne breakouts. We recommend not popping or squeezing the breakouts, especially cystic acne, to avoid causing scarring.

Hello, I have recently had terrible cystic acne on my jawline. Most of it is just red bumps, occasionally there are white heads. It has been going on for about two months now. I'm looking into this product but wondering if the drying cream would be a better solution vs. the buffering lotion / any other products you may have that may help me? Thank you!
Asked on 1/12/2018 by Emily from TX

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

If you experience more red bumps rather than deep under the surface breakouts, our Drying Cream would be a better option. Our Buffering Lotion is designed to target deep under the surface breakouts. You can also use our Acne Starter Regimen Kit to help reduce and prevent breakouts.

        • Brand Expert

          A:

The Buffering Lotion should only be applied to deep cystic acne breakouts. It is not meant to prevent breakouts. If you are looking for a product to help reduce breakouts and congestion our Anti Acne Serum can be used.

      • Q:

I have recently started breaking out with terrible acne. It is across my chin and on my jawline. On my jawline I get a lot of cystic acne and across my chin are large pimples...usually white heads and sometimes others that don't seem to have any puss. They aren't deep like the ones under my jaw, but they are large and puffed up above the skin. I just purchased the Buffering Lotion but I want to know what other products I should use to help with my chin as well. Along with anything else that may help. Can you please give me some suggestions of what would work best? Thank you
