Most Helpful Positive Review Easy to use, a little too sheer I received this light brown Benefit microfilling brow pen for testing, complimentary, as part of a product testing program. I was not paid for my review and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
I did not get the color I need, unfortunately, as the light brown did not have nearly enough pigment. My hair is dark brown but my eyebrows are light brown, and typically a dark blonde or light brown brow pencil is enough to darken my brow without looking like sharpie. However this light brown is REALLY light, more suited for someone with very blonde hair. It IS buildable and I was able to go over a few times to darken it enough to get a nice amount but doing so you lose that "microblade" effect of the 3 pronged marker tip. It claims to be smudge proof and waterproof. I would say more "resistant" than proof. First day I used it I ended up spending a lot of time outside, got quite greasy and sweaty and that evening there was very little left. I also experimented with what point in makeup application I used it to see if one way is better than another. Usually if I'm doing full makeup brows are one of my last steps. This way I don't worry about powdering them by accident, stray foundation etc. That did NOT work out well. I had the least pigment placement, the tip got gunked with products and had the least staying power. So it had to be used first before any other face products. Now with it being summer, hot, and all the social distancing I've been pretty lazy about much face makeup like foundation, concealer etc, and this works very nicely to give a groomed but natural brow appearance. It's hard to overdo the brow because it is so sheer, so going over until I get the amount I want is simple and not too time consuming. Unlike some makeup products I would say there is not a steep learning curve. I would be inclined to purchase this in a medium or dark brown and try it out for more full makeup looks.
Most Helpful Critical Review Too light for dark brows While I like the idea of this type of product, it gave me neither natural looking brows nor brows that looked microbladed. First, I have to say that the color options are not great. I received the darkest color they sell and I would barely call this color dark brown, more medium at best. So if you have actual dark brown brows, or even black, this product isn't for you. I run into this alot with brow products, specially from benefit. Which is a shame considering they are supposed to be a front runner in the brow game. Their darkest products are never dark enough. Their 'dark brown' or 'black' is never the real color. Always a medium brown at best. That being said, this product still wasn't great. The liquid and points didn't create clear crisp lines but rather faded lines that mostly bleed together. They were too light to see but even if they weren't , they were not brow like strokes that look like hairs. I received this product for free to review.

I use this product to fill in my eyebrows. I used to use powder however, I am thinking of making this a part of my daily routine. The color looks nice and it is easy to use. Very little clean up if any.
Not worth the money 2

I watched YouTube videos on this product before purchasing and I thought they were unbiased videos. The pen works nothing like the videos I watched. It smears and does make the individual lines like the videos showed. Def not worth the money. Maybe I bought a defective pen and it's not like this for everyone. But it also did not last long after applying.
Love it! 5

I love the color - blonde. The product goes on smooth where you want it. It stays put and does not smear.

Dried up almost immediately, less than two weeks.
Disappointing at best 2

I've been wanting to try a pen like this for a while, so after scrolling the reviews I decided to go for a couple tones above what I typically would. Even then the color was lighter than I would have preferred. The worst part is the pen does not at all leave defining lines as advertised. The pen tip is so wet it just kind of splotches out. By the end of the pen I learned how to manipulate it into looking closer to how I'd like, but I definitely won't be coming back.
Absolutely LOVE this product, looks natural 5

Makes brows look completely natural, fills my brows nicely and is fast and simple to use
Game changer 5

Not really sure why we hated our eyebrows so much in the 80's (I won't even try to explain our aqua net extra super hold hairstyles 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😂) but between past over-tweezing and now menopause, my eyebrows need all the help they can get ... I've seen ads for other brands of micro-filling pens and was excited to see this option at Ulta ... when I tried it, my first thought was literally "This is a game changer! 😃" I might add - not looking to redraw my eyebrows, just a little help with fullness and definition. Hoping it can withstand Louisiana summertime heat and humidity 🤞🏻🙏🏻
Better than all the rest 5

I love this brow pen so much more than all the others I've tried. It goes on very light and it's actually EASY to make hair like strokes. Looks natural. I've tried so many others, glossier, milk, Anastasia, essence... and they all go on super dark and heavy, it's very difficult to get a tiny stroke out of them... but not this one. I just use it in the front of my brows to give them a little more of a bushy effect and it looks great. Also doesn't oxidize and turn green over time which is LOOOOOVE! It is a little expensive though.
Awful 2

Don't recommend, it's horrible. Just sits in my makeup bag now, used it twice. Unfortunate, as I love every other benefit brow product

Does not work 1

I have seen the brow pens advertised on Facebook and always search when I'm in ulta or another make up store. I was so excited when I found this. I was so disappointed because it just blends together. Very faint and the 3 tips just run together. May as well use a marker. Complete waste of money.
Love this! 5

I've tried a few other eyebrow pencils to fill in my brows & always felt like they looked painted on. But not this one. The hair like strokes makes your eyebrows look naturally fuller. I am so happy with this product, I will definitely buy it again & recommend to everyone!
It's okay, nothing crazy 4
Mary from Clarksville, IN
I bought this product just to try something new. It's okay, nothing really special. I'm pretty new at makeup in general so it's a little difficult to get my eyebrows right without making them so blocky. It does smudge sadly but all-in-all it's a good product
Thought it would be great 3
Abstergail from Tennessee
I thought I would love this but I really didn't. It didn't end up looking like brow hairs and just looked like I used a brown marker to color in my brows. There are better brow products out there. Wanted to love it, but just couldn't!
Slippery when wet 2
tflo-onthego from Round Rock, TX
First off: this pen is overpriced. 2nd: the darkest shade is not dark enough, it's still too warm toned, and 3rd: I've used it 5 times since I got it 2 weeks ago and it already seems like it's drying out. I bought this to fill the "gaps" in between my microblading touchup sessions (which is between 12-14 months). Now, that being said this stuff is tricky because it's really wet out of the tube, but I learned a tip to get it to go on right and stay on all day. Make sure your brow area is clean and dry! It wont work right if you have makeup or oily skin on your eyebrow area. Wipe along the hairs with makeup remover or witch hazel on a q-tip and wait until it completely dries before applying the brow pen. Honestly overall, I wouldn't buy it again. The End.

Amazing! 5

I love this! I have been someone who really fills in their eyebrows because I'm self conscious about them, but I have tried to gain confidence by not filling them in with a brow pencil and this great! I have used it and it really makes my thin and sparse brows more defined! I would definitely recommend!!
Not gonna buy this again. 2

wanted to love it 3

Im a brow enthusiast, and I had such high hopes for this. truthfully, I just wish it was darker, as I have black eyebrows and the darkest is brown. I love the concept and the tip is perfect, I believe someone with light brows would love it, the strokes are perfect. just isnt dark enough
I really like this product! 5
Yeye from NC
This product is awesome! I've tried a few microblading pens in the past and this one works really good. I have very thin brows and the other pens I've used wouldn't stay on the thin part of my brows. This product draws on the skin. It's easier to manipulate and easy to fix or erase. It looks wet when you're done putting it on but all you need is a little dab of cotton ball to dry it. Then you can finish your brows with a pencil. This works better than wunderbrows.
I would buy this product again and again. 5

Easy to use and it looks natural. It only takes a few swipes and you are all set.
I love this product! 5

I love this pen! I have very sparse blonde brows, and this is perfect for me! Normal brow pens make it look too bulky or the wrong color, but this did none of that!
