Most Helpful Positive Review Finally a good sunscreen I'm in my mid 20's and just recently started caring about sun protection, because after all, they say it's the most important defense for anti aging. I used to hate wearing sunscreen on my face, especially when tanning or laying out in the sun because my face would be paler than my body and I don't like wearing makeup in the summer.. but I also want good skin for years to come, so I'm trying to bite the bullet. I also hate the smell of sunscreen! I have the Cerave AM moisturizing lotion for when I wanted an SPF but it has that same nasty strong smell and pills terribly under makeup so I needed something new. I thankfully snagged this on sale. For the price point I don't think it's the best value. It looked like my bottle was a quarter empty when it arrived and the package is already small! It is a good quality product though. I haven't used it consistently yet but I have no complaints. There is no smell. No white cast. It's so thin and lightweight on your skin. I usually mix with IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Lotion and put it on that way. It always rubs right in. It hasn't irritated my face at all. I've also had no problems cleansing off at the end of the day. All in all, it is pretty much exactly what I am looking for, but if I can find a cheaper alternative that checks the same boxes I would probably switch and not repurchase. It's all trial and error, but this product definitely has a place on my list!!
Most Helpful Critical Review I'm on the fence I have really mixed feelings about this. On one hand I like that it's super lightweight and sheer. It doesn't leave any weird streaks or have that distinct sunscreen smell. It also layers underneath makeup pretty well. But on the other hand, it is such a poor value for how little product you get. I haven't had it for one whole week yet and there's a significant amount I can see that is gone from the bottle. It's not like I glob it on my face, I use a tiny amount. I don't have the same issue with the dramatically different gel from this brand so I was not expecting to go through it as quickly as I apparently am. I am not recommending this to anyone because I feel like you can get something similar for a better value.

I have somewhat fair skin, and I don't see any white cast from this. It's lightweight and feels great on my skin. It's in that magic middle ground that is neither greasy nor drying. This is definitely a holy grail for me!
definately a keeper 5

I use this product with vitamin 3 oil and it is great. I use it in the morning after washing my face.
I have dry skin and this sunblock goes on clear and soft! 5
Cinderellie from Los Angeles
I first cleans my face with the mild Clinique cleanser, then spray on Hydro Spray; then let dry, add the Multi-anti-aging cream with the resculpt cream combo. After all this I put on the SPF 30 Mineral product. Can't use anything with fragrance or chemical sunscreen I am ver allergic and break out with rash right away. This is why I love Clinique!
This is the best mineral sunscreen I've used so far. 5
WhiteDove from Florida
I tested this wearing it to Disney for a whole day. Didn't make my makeup run and didn't get into my eyes and burn.
I needed sunscreen so i got this 5

It does the trick I think? idk you usually see the effects of sun damage years after it happens so... maybe ill give an update in 30 years < 3 wish me luck.
No white caste, seeps into skin fast, not scented.
Lightweight and no white cast! 5

Finally found a sunscreen with no poreclogging ingredients and can be worn alone since there is no white cast! I am southeast Asian so I am very tan but this does not leave a white cast on my skin at all. I feel like it has also improved my skin tone. Love this sunscreen so so much
leaky and tiny + leaves white cast 1
Korina from Arizona
My skin tone is light to medium but this leaves a slight white cast on me. This is definitely not for darker complexions which is a huge turn off.
It leaks so much! You have to keep this upright all the time and make sure the lid is on or else it will leak out profusely. It's so runny, makes it hard to not spill and the bottle is pretty small. With the amount that leaks out and the small bottle to begin with, this will probably last you like two months and for almost $30 that is not good at all.
Also I think this causes pilling. I have little clumps of this product on my face at times and usually happens when i put on a primer
Nice light sunscreen 5

Nice sunscreen! Did not feel oily on my skin or break me out. I try to wear this as an everyday sunscreen over moisturizer
Excellent Find 5

Use product daily under makeup or alone. Will not run out the house without.
only works with fair skintones 1
Ebony from Phoenix, Az
The sunscreen seemed like any other regrading smell and feel on skin. I love clinque skincare but this was a fail. After 20 minutes I had a white cast that had purple undertones. Neutrogena hydro boost water gel sunscreen is great for all skin tones because it's a gel like consistency(NO white cast)and the skin feels like velvet.
Not for sensitive skin 1
Sally F from Charlotte NC
Says it works for sensitive skin - it doesn't. I used it for three days: noticed slight irritation on the second day, then full on face burning by the third. I had to wash it off immediately. It also made me break out :(
Burns my skin and eyes 2
Wen from FWB
Not for sensitive skin.
Not sweat proof.
Burns eyes. Stings skin.
Finally a good sunscreen 4

Leaky and expensive 2
Captj from United States
I knew the size of this when ordering, but the more I think about how much I spent for a tiny bottle that also leaks irks me. Upon arrival there was sunscreen in the box, I wasn't too worried, it happens! But as it continues to leak into the cap when it's just sitting in a drawer... it irritates me. Maybe I got the malfunctioning bottle? When I use it it seems to work well - it definitely stays on in water as I have to wash my face REALLY well at the end of a use day. I would not rebuy this particular product, but would be willing to try a different Clinique sunscreen.
Great Sunscreen 5
Jamie from California
I've really been enjoying this sunscreen. I do have sensitive skin and with this product I haven't experienced any stinging, irritation, or breakouts. Unlike other mineral sunscreens I've tried it doesn't leave a white cast at all (I do have light skin so I can't speak to how it would look on darker skin tones). The consistency is great, it spreads on very easily and soaks into the skin nicely and quickly. It leaves a slight glow to the face but in my opinion it doesn't look greasy at all, I do have dry skin though. The smell is very mild. The price point is a bit high, but you get 1 fl. oz which isn't less than standard, and it's been lasting me quite a while so I will repurchase. To be fair I bought it during quarantine so I haven't been going out much, so I only use it if I'll be going outside for more than like 10 minutes. But the price is worth it to me because I've had such bad experiences with other cheap sunscreens so I'm willing to pay more.
So far, so good. 4

I only have used it for a couple
of days but I can't complain. Doesn't leave me shiny and that was my main concern.
I would buy it again 4
psizzle from WV
I bought this to try to use under my makeup and without. I have very sensitive eyes and chemicals in foundation, mascara, and eyeshadow often cause my eyes to get irritated and burn. This sunscreen didn't cause any issues with eyes or skin. It appears white but blends in easy. A little goes a long way. It comes out kinda runny so watch out. I was hoping to work up a big sweat to make sure it wasn't going to run and sting my eyes that way but didn't experience that. It didn't make my skin oily or feel dry. I applied my moisturizer first then the sunscreen then makeup if I wore it. Its worth buying again but I'm probably going to look for a cheaper alternative.
Great for the Face 5
Remilikethegun from Houston, TX
Love this for when I go outside with my girls! Nice and gentle for sensitive skin but still seems to do its job. Also I love that it's not heavy like most sunscreens. Great product!
Great for everyday! 5
sabbb from Milwaukee
I love that it's not a strong fragrance!
Love 5
Veronica T from Lakewood, CA
I love that this is a fluid sunscreen so it doesn't feel heavy. This is my absolute favorite sunscreen! I hope they don't discontinue it!!
Nothing better under makeup 5
Joyce from Omaha, NE
What can I say? It doesn't leave a white cast, it isn't greasy and looks amazing under makeup, and it has broad spectrum coverage so it will prevent aging as well as burns. I don't usually use the word HG, but this is legitimately an HG product.
Blends well with foundation if sunscreen is needed. 5
Kcoo from Atlanta, GA
The fluid is thin, so it blends easily with foundation if you need extra sunscreen. I mix the 2 and blend.
I love this stuff 5
Joy from San Diego
It's super light, not greasy, no white residue and doesn't smell like sunscreen.
No white cast 4
MrsKing from Atlanta, Ga
I have normal skin, sometimes slight combo skin. I apply this last after toner, serum, and moisturizer. I don't experience any pilling like a few others have stated. The color of the fluid cream is white and doesn't leave a white cast or film whatsoever on my caramel complexion. It is on the thinner side of consistency and I feel I have to apply generously meaning it will run out quickly as you only get 1oz. I would love to repurchase but just not feeling the size value and price and how much you have to apply to ensure you adequately cover enough of the face.
Great 3

I really like Clinique sunscreens. This is a good texture for using on your face, not too greasy, lightly moisturizing (unless you have oily skin I recommend using your regular moisturizer under this). Make sure you wash it off properly or you may break out, but that's true of pretty much every sunscreen.
My issue with it is that it's expensive for what you get. Clinique sells a sunscreen that's extremely similar to this for men that's three times the size for like one dollar more. I suggest getting that one instead.
