Most Helpful Positive Review Pina Colada Sunscreen!
I'm currently living in the Caribbean and it's been hard to find a water resistant, mineral sunscreen for the body. Since I love the tinted face version, I purchased this product when I came home to visit. I love how it's not greasy and has an almost matte finish to it. It does have a strong pina colada smell when first applying but I don't notice it later. I apply a little at a time so it's easier to rub in and less likely to show up white. The sand doesn't stick to my skin as much compared to other sunscreen lotions. I use an exfoliating glove with my body wash to get it off at the end of the day but that small trouble is worth it to me! I haven't burned or needed to reapply after a few hours swimming and laying out. I will definitely repurchase!
Most Helpful Critical Review Low Concentration of Active Ingredients
I had to go the product's main website to get the active ingredient concentration. Ulta needs to fix that, especially when it comes to sunscreen. This product contains Titanium Dioxide 4% and Zinc Oxide 4%. Those are low concentrations and is most likely why some people are experiencing sunburn while using this product. If you're photosensitive, then find another daily sunscreen. The tinted version has the exact same concentration as well. Typically you want at least 5% from both active ingredients in a mineral sunscreen
Originally I choose this sunscreen because the tinted version was sold out. The tinted version was getting rave reviews, so I thought, what's the difference besides a slight white cast? I wear foundation anyways. Now that I know the concentration level, I'm glad that I do have an extra layer of protection because this will not be enough for me and I worry about the people only wearing the tinted version, but it's better than nothing. I also wouldn't recommend relying on this sunscreen if you plan to be out in the sun for an extended period of time, even if you do reapply every 2 hours because of the low concentration of active ingredients. Ideally you'd be using this as a daily sunscreen to throw on when you know you won't be outside for a long time.
This product was nothing special, and the botanical claims are over hyped. Sensitive or sensitized skin will likely hate this product. There is added fragrance, something they call Citrus Oasis. Citrus anything aggravates skin, and added fragrance in general does more harm than good. Similarly this product contains Eucalyptus, which is can also cause skin irritation. The product rubs in fairly quickly, but there is a slight white cast even on fair skin.

This sunscreen did offer good protection but I tried it a couple times and I don't like it. I'm extremely pale and it even left a white cast on me so I don't see how this could work for anyone. It was fine when I put makeup over it but if you're going to the beach or something I definitely wouldn't recommend for the face. I also don't really like the smell of it & I noticed dry patches on my face throughout the day after only using the sunscreen on top of a serum.
what is this product, baby diaper rash lotion??????

Australian gold sunscreen products are my go to. my ulta was out of what i normally purchase so i thought i would try this. bad mistake. used it twice. left my face and body with a white residue would not wash off. returned it to the store and was able to get what i wanted this time.
Great for HUMID climates!!
Jojo from Ohio
This product is amazing for HUMID climates. A lot of sunscreens feel horribly greasy when it is humid. This soaks in great and has zero slickness to it. the finish feels kind of like Tarte clay foundation (lol). It may not be moisturizing enough for a dry summer though.
The only real con for me is that this will stain your clothes. Thankfully you can get it out if this happens. I would recommend applying it naked and letting it dry before putting your clothes on, and then you wont have as big of an issue.

Great environmentally friendly and reef safe sunscreen!!
Muchamel from Portland, Oregon
Darn! Gave me a headache. I love the tinted version of this brand's sunscreen which is unscented and I wanted an un-tinted option assuming there would also be no perfumes. Chemically sensitive people stay away!

This sunscreen is for the gods. I sweat through sunscreen like a pro. I row, so finding a sunscreen that stands up to occasional splashes and the sun is important. This stuff does not sweat off and stays put. I don't get burning eyes with it. It also is reef safe, which matters to me. Some people say it leaves a purple cast but I find if I rub it in well I have no cast. I wear this for sports and everyday, sometimes with make up. It works wonders. I just wish it was a little less costly. But I don't breakout with this stuff so I'll keep using it!
I love this!
Sym from Los Angeles
I've been using this stuff for the last couple of years. I love the smell and it truly protects your skin. Bonus, it is reef safe!!
Part of my everyday routine
Ello from USA
I am super pale with combo skin and other sunscreens either make me super greasy looking or break out but this one didn't! I mix a small amount in with my moisturizer everyday and it works super well! It also lasts me a long time! I will definitely be buying it again!
Pretty good but could be better
Soleil from Salinas, CA
I love how it's not greasy and it dries down to a matte finish. That was my main issue with a lot of physical sunscreen that had a high spf. It blends easy on my tan skin leaving a very minimal white cast (I use this for my body but not for my face). My main issue with it is the ridiculous strong scent, I would use this on my face but the smell is what I don't like about this product. Other
solid product with drawbacks
AugustaT from SC
I'm using this on vacation and it is VERY effective, but definitely leaves a white cast. It has stained my black bathing suits.
Pros: it dries with a matte feeling and you forget it's there.
Cons: need serious soaping to get it off. You can see it run off in the shower.
I need an environmentally friendly sunscreen.

It's another great Australian Gold product
Wacky from Michigan
I have used Australian Gold products so when my dermatologist recommended a "natural" sunscreen I bought this. It has a lot of pluses: it doesn't stain your suit or clothes like other sunscreens, it has a nice consistency and it doesn't make me break out. The only real downside is the price.
Jill from Charlotte
Worst sunscreen ever! Leaves white cast and dried out my skin.
Not for me
Adriana from Cincinnati, OH
I love Australian Gold products, but this one left me feeling disappointed and I ultimately ended up returning it. It left a very white cast on my skin which was difficult to wash off when my day by the pool was over.

The smell gets the one star, but overall this product is awful. I am very fair skinned and this even left me with a white powdery layer on my skin. Washing off takes forever and I'm left red from scrubbing so hard
Perfect for my skin type
Abigail from Colorado
I love this sunscreen! I have extremely oily skin and have been looking for the perfect sunscreen I can wear on my face every day to prevent harmful sun damage and this one is awesome. It does not leave me greasy at all like all my other sun screens and it even has a bit of a mattifying effect. I will say it does take some effort to rub it in to get rid of the white cast. I have a very light skin tone so the white cast is not really a problem but I probably would not recommend this product to someone with a darker skin tone for that reason. Oh and let me tell you about the smell! Its got this awesome pineapple scent, which I love! Overall it has a great texture and great coverage and I will be buying it again.
Awful. I will never use it again
Joelle from New York, NY
I was initially pleased because it wasn't greasy but later, when I looked in the mirror my face was streaked in white. I had to wash my face three times, once with facial scrub to remove it. There are still remnants on my face. I will never use this again.
LOVE this sunscreen!
Kelseysb from MI
I bought this for a tropical vacation and i was blown away! I always have a hard time finding a sunscreen that goes on well, and doesn't look chalky. This sunscreen rubs in very easily, and doesn't leave any residue. I used it in a very sun intense location and i didn't get sunburned at all! It smells really nice too, which i enjoyed but could potentially bother some people.
Karen from Menlo Park, CA
I've used it on my arms and feet (exposed skin) a few times and it's easy to rub in with minimal white cast
Not greasy, smells pleasant

Daily use on arms to prevent more freckles.
Do like the texture, but made my arms white - didn't fade in.
NicoleS from Michigan
This was the worst sunscreen I have ever used. I threw it out on vacation and never looked back. Awful!
I wouldn't buy this product again.
Hannerz from West palm beach, FL
Goes on super thick and dries in a thick layer of a white/purple shade. Doesn't rub in well. Had to scrub off. Caused a mild/ itchy rash of little raised bumps (on a couple of the tattoos that are on my legs).... I stopped using the product and they went away.
Obvious white streaks on tan skin
Mel from Vancouver WA
I was looking for sunblock that was reef friendly so headed to my nearby ulta and found this. I was initially very happy with the application because it did not have that greasy feeling like most other sunblocks. Once I got to the beach I was horrified to my skin with horrible white streaks (I'm a Pacific Islander and have very tan skin). I gave it a second chance the following day and made sure to rub it into my skin very well, but the results were the same. Maybe this would work better for people with fair skin tones but would not recommend for those of you who are tan like myself.
Jen from Nevada
I use this product on my face everyday under my makeup. I have sensitive combination skin so I was looking for a good face sun block that wouldn't irritate my skin or make my face look more shiny. This product is great! It doesn't feel thick on the skin even with makeup on and has a nice smell. I will definitely buy again!
wanted to love it
rvtprincess from Denver
Leaves such a bad white cast and doesn't blend in easily. It offers good protection but looks terrible on. Doesn't wash off easily either. I'm bummed.
