I stay away from powder products because I tend to have dry skin and live in a very dry climate. However testing this out, instead of my many layers of skin care products and moisturizers, I tossed this makeup on over just a moisturizing primer and it looked pretty good. I used the blue brush that is recommended with this makeup as well. I'm surprised it didn't emphasized any dryness and gave me the flawless look I was going for. I would call this a medium coverage, as I have light rosacea and it still showed through the makeup, but it can be built up. Testing this makeup for an extended period of 8 hours, I did have to do a touch up after 4-5 hours as more of my redness was showing. Very easy to touch up with, doesn't cake on and it doesn't rub as much. This may be my new favorite product. I can imagine it looking even better if I had used concealer or a cc cream underneath. My skin actually looked better the next day, which was a plus. You will need to add moisture to your face and a good primer really helps.
Now as for why women are breaking out or having a reaction to this. If you have any open skin at all, even a little pimple, talc can be dangerous if it gets inside, causing infections and inflammation. I have clear skin so I had no issues, but I can understand if someone is prone to breakouts, or applied this over pimples, why a reaction would occur. If I get a breakout, I'd avoid putting makeup over that area, especially if it was recently popped. If you want to avoid talc, then yes get something else. Other names Talc goes by are, "Talcum, Talcum Powder, Cosmetic Talc, Magnesium silicate". There are some brands that make talc-free products, but I've tried so many makeup products that just don't work with my aging, dry skin. This product does and makes me look younger. Hopefully Too Faced will find a better alternative to talc in the future.
Most Helpful Critical Review It's junk
I'll admit I was partial to Amazing Face powder foundation back the day. Then TF discontinued that in order to go gimmicky with the Cocoa Powder. Okay. I dealt with it, I moved on, and eventually grew to accept it. Apparently, since cocoa is no longer part of their gimmick, they've replaced it with this mockery of a powder foundation.
I made the mistake of trying it one morning before work. I should have known something was amiss when - instead of blurring pores - it exacerbated them ten-fold. I'm not kidding. Pores I didn't even know I had were like, "Hey! look at me!" Two hours into the day, I was nearly crying because the powder (which has NO mattifying properties that last more than five minutes) had mixed with my facial oils and caused what essentially looked like pancake batter on my face. All I wanted to do was go home, wash it off, and start over, but my day did not allow for that. Luckily I had no meetings and just kept my head down in shame for the next six hours.
I would return this but I'm honestly so ticked off and annoyed I don't even want to put the time into doing that.
Hey, TooFaced: staples (like foundation) don't need to be part of your marketing gimmick. They just need to be good. This, however, isn't even passable. I'd give it zero stars if I could. The title of my review stands. It's junk.

After using the last of my beloved Cocoa powder foundation, I gave in and bought this one. Does not compare to the Cocoa powder foundation I used and loved. Please bring back the Cocoa powder one!
TiffEm37 from Melbourne FL
Living in Central Florida, it gets seriously hot and humid, and sometimes the last thing you want to do is put a liquid or cream foundation on. This is the perfect alternative. It provides smooth and silky full coverage, and keeps my face from feeling like it's dripping off. I also blend it over a liquid/cream foundation around my eyes and over blemishes, and it provides a flawless finish.
Letty from Stockton
It last's all day and has awesome coverage. Would buy it again.
Bring back the cocoa foundation!
Eryn from Earth
The cocoa foundation was so much better than this. It was my HG! Please bring that back! Anyway, I tried the color match on the app and it told me to get Porcelain. WRONG! Get this shade if you want to look like you have end stage liver disease. It turned me yellow. Now I need to return it. As far as the powder, it is only ok. Coverage is medium, but it wears off easily and darkens (to yellow/orange) quickly.
Patchy and powdery
Luc from NSW
Took it back after a few uses because it applied sooo patchy and strange, especially on my nose and cheeks. Was expecting a fuller coverage too
not the cocoa powder
brenda from tennessee
This is the new formula but nothing like the cocoa powder that 2faced used to make. :( Please bring back the cocoa powder. It was the most amazing powder.
This is NOT comparable to the cocoa powder foundation
LaurenMarie from Pennsylvania
This is awful! First off, the shades are so off. I have now ordered 2 different shades and they are much lighter in person. Second, this foundation is SO CHALKY. Instantly highlighting any pores and lines. For the love of god please just bring back the cocoa powder line. I am begging you! That was the most amazing foundation I had ever used.

Looks disgusting on my skin
Yesi from Memphis, TN
I'm so glad I purchased this powder! It is full coverage on me and the finish is soooo nice and soft. I love it! I like to use it with a big fluffy brush. A little goes a long way! Lovelovelove it!
kirabee from Utah
This is the first powder foundation I've ever tried and I was pretty pleasantly surprised by the coverage. I got it specifically to even out my skin tone when I don't want to wear a ton of face makeup but want to cover my redness and it's honestly a little too full coverage for that. It's definitely not a natural look so it doesn't really work for what I wanted it to but it's still a great product
My Favorite Foundation
Camille from Ruston, La
I'm almost 40 and I have oily skin without too many breakouts. To date, this is the best foundation I've ever used.
It provides an excellent coverage over my older acne spots. It doesn't sit heavy into my fine lines and wrinkles. I don't need to use a powder with this to cover up my face shine. It truly is an all in one foundation and powder.
I used this through the winter with excellent results. When summer came and my face tanned, I needed a darker foundation. I decided to try IT Cosmetics oil free Matte CC+ cream (also a good product). However, the cream left me with a bit of shine so I decided to pick up Ulta's version of powder foundation (pitiful product) for shine reduction.
Let me just say that the Ulta powder foundation and Too Faced powder foundation is NOT THE SAME. Ulta's powder foundation is basically just a powder. That's it.
Too Faced provides actual coverage that lasts most of the day. As well as other excellent ingredients that are good for the skin as you're wearing it.
I'm ready to use up my CC+ cream so I can go back to this wonderful foundation!
It's definitely expensive but I think it's well worth it. In this case, you are getting what you pay for.
Expensive but worth it
J from California
This powder gives good coverage but doesn't clog pores. I use a BB cream everyday and when I'm done with my makeup I lightly brush this powder on my skin to give me a more finished look. It is slightly matte but not too much, because I don't like that look when it doesn't look natural at all. Since I lightly use it each day I still have quite a bit left so it lasts a long time.
EXCELLENT FOR ACNE AND OILY SKIN
Czo5043 from Pittsburgh
I'm 27 years old and have extremely oily skin, I have acne. I have tried every single product out there and Too Faced Born this way presses foundation works miracles! I can feel so confident in my skin. My skin doesn't get oily and shiny. I love this product! 5 stars!
Good Coverage/Bad Breakouts
ReeanaNT from New York
I was hoping i could just wear this and feel put together during Quarantine. Instead it caused significant breakouts (think cystic acne) and I'm pretty sure it's due to this containing talc. Not great. The coverage is great, but honestly if it's going to make me breakout I can't keep using it. I also can't figure out how to return this since I ordered it online at the beginning of quarantine... so that's cool.
Oxidizing on a new level!
Julia from Alabama
First off the coverage is just okay and it doesn't keep my combo/oily skin looking matte. BUT THE OXIDIZATION! Oh my goodness I have NEVER had a foundation or concealer oxidize as bad as this one! It ends up being way too dark for my skin tone. I don't recommend this product but if you are going to purchase, get it at least 3 shades lighter.

I love this product. I will be buying it again
Jocy from California
I love the finish of this product. At initial application it looks natural, not too matte or cakey. But if you have oily skin i dont think this might be for you. I found my self oily at the 2 or 3 hour mark. I tried a mattifying primer and still will end up looking like a frying pan.
Mari from Wisco
I have dry skin and powders usually looks upper Camry and drying. However, this powder made my skin looked blurred out and natural it didn't look cakey nor drying. Definitely will repurchase in the future
Creamy and delicious

Perfect for me. Easy and quick to apply, with good coverage. Light feel, which I love, especially in the warmer months!
Undetectable is right!

Love, love, love this powder foundation! The natural beige is literally the most perfect color match I have ever had with any foundation, powder or liquid, over the years. I like to wear a base to even out my complexion and help my skin look more naturally smooth, and I prefer people not now I am actually wearing anything. This looks like my skin, only better. Highly recommend!

No need for liquid foundation- provides great coverage and non cakey.
Amazing shade and coverage
Iwantitall from Philadelphia
I usually have a hard time finding a Shad light enough for me while also not having a yellow undertone. The Cloud is perfect for my face, calms my redness, and lasts forever. Nice light fee to the powder but still enough coverage to last the whole day. Touch ups are easy and blend perfectly. Definitely my new go to foundation.
Justsky from My
I have dry sensitive skin. This product works perfectly for me. I use a moisturizer and spf underneath. I also use the born this way concealer under as well. This is perfect. Doesn't cling to any spots on my face or break me out. Also lasts all day without getting cakey. I have been preferring powder foundations over liquid foundation for those reasons. I purchased this during 21 days of beauty. I will definitely be repurchasing. I have very fair skin and the shade cloud ones is my perfect match.
Made me breakout horribly

I wanted to love this. It looked great on.
But. My skin is broke out HORRIBLY. This is the only new thing in my skincare routine and I absolutely hate how my skin looks right now.
