Most Helpful Positive Review Like product but packaging needs redesign I like this Cover FX blurring primer. It applies easily and smoothly and preps my skin for my foundation. There is color in the product but it does not color the skin...only mattifys. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the packaging. I had been using until I couldn't squeeze out more. I cut the tube in half to scrape out the remaining thinking it would be a tiny bit. It turns out it was plenty. So I scraped out and put in a jar I had on hand. It filled this .50 oz jar. About 1.5 inch tall jar. Im going to try to attach a picture. Too expensive of a product to waste this much due to packaging.
Most Helpful Critical Review Shrug Pros: it *really* mattifies, it blends very well, and it lasts a lot longer than Benefit's Porefessional.
Cons: it still only lasts about four hours before it's left you looking even more textured than before, and it didn't smooth things out that much to begin with, and it costs a ton. ZERO scent.
Still going to keep trying, just in case it was user error, but I had this same problem yesterday when the makeup artist tried it on me. I suspect it just doesn't work very well for everyone, and that's a hefty chunk to spend on a gamble.

the texture of this product is like nothing I've seen, it's puffy! like a fluffy tarte. it spits and blasts chuncks of primer everywhere when you try to get some out. I feel I have to use a lot to get it all over my face, more than my regular cover girl ageless primer (white and purple pump bottle). Also, don't put this cover for primer in eyebrows or hair because it'll clump and look kinda like dandruff. HOWEVER, despite all that, it does leave my face smooth, I wouldn't say it's poreless, it's kinda blurring, but it's an eh product for the price when I know there's better for cheaper.

I just found this primer and I don't know how I lived without it. I'm 40 years old with combination skin and some redness and dark spots. It just makes everything so smooth. It really is the perfect primer. I don't use it everyday, but it doesn't irritate my skin at all. I love this product!
Amazing Filter Effect 5

I have been using this primer on and off for quite a while. I don't use it everyday because I think filling in your pores daily can cause issues long term with breakouts, so I try to alternate with other primers.
I am a combo skin type, and my oily t-zone is always at bay with this product. My skin looks very smooth and perfect! It's a great product for a no makeup day or full glam.
Also, from an ingredients standpoint, it is phenomenal. I am somewhat acne prone, and I don't think this has ever caused a breakout on me. Like I said, I don't use this consistently for weeks on end. I use maybe it every other time I put makeup on.
Probably not worth the money. 4

I don't see much difference in this and Mabeline's Baby Face Pore Eraser.
Not for prone skin 1

Comes out tinted but blends in invisible for even the palest. I got this primer as a sample awhile back and loved it. Got the full size bottle and it works nothing like it. Easily scratches off even after setting everything. I have hormonal combination skin with acne scarring and it has made my skin so much worse that I now have to see a dermatologist cus it broke me out in places I've never broken out before and badly.

will continue to buy as long as they keep it in stock and don't change anything. It was given to me by a friend a few days ago. I'm 56 tan and have large pores and combo skin. This has been an unexpected saving grace. I don't need anymore bb/cc creams I found what really works for me, it smooths out my skin even around my large nose and large pores. I am very GREATFUL.

This product is amazing!! My face looks so smooth and like it has a filter on it- but in person! I'm not sure how people don't like this but I suppose everyone's skin is different. For me, I'll be using this a long time!!
I love this stuff! 5

This truly blurs my large pores and light wrinkles. If you like a natural look, you can wear it on its own. I put it under my eyes as well to smooth that area out. It's fabulous! A bit pricey, though, which is the only drawback.
My foundation looks so much better. Very similar to Benefit POREfessional, another favorite.
very disappointed 3

I was excited to try this, but it didn't help my makeup at all. I tried different ways and even different foundations. Definitely not worth the money. It also has some ingredients that can clog your pores if you have problem skin. Sending back.
GREAT EVEN BY ITSELF 5
Zach from Atlanta
Wash your face, add moisturizer and a dab of this in the T-zone, and out the door for a completely natural look. I have small/medium pores and it just makes everything feel silky smooth and blurs my pores. Have realistic expectations. It's not a miracle in a bottle, but I keep repurchasing it. I like it more than the Smashbox pore-filling primer for my skin.
The worst primer... 1
Cassie from San Antonio, TX
....I have ever used!! Didn't blur, minimize pores, OR help my makeup stay in place. By the end of the day it looked like someone had rubbed their hands all over my face.
Hate This Primer 1
Karen the angry MUA from New Jersey
I typically used Cover Fx's gripping primer and I absolutely love it, and I definitely recommend that primer. However, I recommend you run far far far away from this one. I bought it because I assumed that since I love the gripping primer so much that the blurring and pore minimizer one would be great too. WRONG. It's horrible. My makeup doesn't stay on and constantly moves throughout the day. Also, maybe it's just me and my skin, but when I was applying the primer it would not actually stick to my face. I would have these little tan balls of primer just all over my face, and from far away it would make my skin look flakey. I absolutely hate this product. 0/10 do not recommend unless you enjoy wasting money.
Fills in everything 5

Great for blurring out imperfections.
Your pores enemy , definitely buy it 5
Jdarling from Long Beach
Press it in smooth it out it's not mattifying it simply leave photo finished appearance without the dryness. The consistency is almost powdery like yet creamy.
I love this! 5

After my moisturizer I apply before I put my foundation on. I sometimes just put this on for a smooth looking no make up look.
Best best primer for large pores and even smoothing skin.. 5

Jas from Florida
This is one of the best primers I've ever used! It really does fill in the pores and fine lines and makes my skin look really pretty. Only bad thing I would say though is the weird color and it smells kind of minty?
great primer for blurring 4
beachmom9 from dmv
I haven't tried this before due to my oily skin and only got it due to the sale. It's a different consistency than most other primers out there and it doesn't feel like silicone to the touch. Loved how it blurred my pores and deep forehead wrinkles. Dab this in vs. rubbing all over your face. Love the ingredients and the fact that it didn't react to my sensitive skin! Will continue buying!!!
Almost as good as Benefit Porefessional 4
MareBear from Little Canada, MN
I put this primer just behind Benefit at minimizing the appearance of the larger pores around & on my no nose. The prices are comparable. Not bad. I'm glad I gave it a try.
BEST Primer for Oily Skin 5
Alexis from Vero Beach, FL
I live in Florida, and have oily skin. AKA the duo for a constant oil slick. This is the ONLY primer that somewhat combats my oils and helps my makeup from sliding off my face throughout the day. And don't let the price scare you! A little goes a long way, and this tube will last a LONG time. The only other primer that holds a candle to this one is the hourglass mineral veil, and that price is much steeper than this.
This makes my skin so smooth 5
Haily from Michigan
I received this product from BoxyCharm and I will continue to purchase this on my own, I have many blurring primers for my pores and scarring and I really love this product! I find myself reaching for this over my other primers, it evens out my skin, is so smooth, and has a nice tint if you need to do touch ups. I would definitely recommend this product!!
game changer 5
ZaZa from Phoenix
I have Lupus and it has left scarring on my face. this fixes about 75% of my skin texture issues!! I apply it after my moisturizer. I PRESS the product into my skin paying attention to areas of concern. I wait about 60 seconds and the apply my foundation with a brush. I also will use a small amount over the top of my foundation sometimes when I want to have a more filtered look. this is by far the best blurring primer out there. I've tried several other blurring primers and this takes the cake!!
WORTH EVERY DIME 5
