Works like a dream

By Roenne

from Stockton

Comments about Hot Tools Black Gold Curling Iron:

I didn't need a new curling iron, but decided to spoil myself. It was a toss up between this and the BabyBliss Pro. Since this one was more visually pleasing, I went with it and boy, do I not have any regrets! The swivel is so much more responsive than my old curling iron, the wand is longer, and it curls my hair smoother and quicker. Will definitely get the 1.5" version of this when my hair is long again!

My old curling iron finally broke. When buying this one I debated on it for a bit since it was more money. I'm happy I did. Works great! I've been highlighting lately ( very hard on hair ) so more frizzy and dry. This iron make my hair feel and look much nicier. Happy I spent a little extra!

      Worst Curling Iron

      By Dori

Comments about Hot Tools Black Gold Curling Iron:

Doesn't hold a curl for me at all. My cheap, drug store curling iron that's 5 years old works tons better! I'll be returning.

1 1/4 barrel is perfect size for undone curly/wave used as a wand but does have clip. Creates an effortless look. My waves/curls stayed for two days!! :) My hair is thick (I get it thinned out every 6 months) and mid back in length. It takes me 15-20 mins to do my entire head. Only product used: Keratin Complex Thermo-Shine ($20 @ Ulta)

Lower heat is the best for damaged heat. There are hair products made to protect your hair from the heat we recommend using one.

I have purchased a 1" barrel ceramic barrel drugstore brand curling iron for many years, replacing every few years. I have somewhat shorter hair but am concerned whether a 1 1/4" barrel might work well enough giving my hair enough curl that holds??
