Comments about Matrix Biolage Sugar Shine Conditioner:

This product should be discontinued. When people say it smells like pee, they are not kidding, it's actually even worse than described. I have only used Matrix for years, I grabbed this to try something different but still a Matrix product. The first day after showering my ten year old was digging through the dirty laundry smelling it, when I asked him what he was doing, he told me that someone must have peed in the laundry. No, that was my hair. After a few days of trying to tough it out, my husband dumped it down the toilet because it had become such an issue in our house with everyone nauseous from the smell. I'm three shampoos into my and my 4 year old's hair and the smell is still lingering. I don't know what they did to this product but it is awful.

This conditioner stinks. At first I thought I just had a defective bottle, but it looks like it's a common issue based on the other reviews. I had bought the smaller bottle originally, and I didn't notice the smell with that one. Maybe it's just the bigger bottle of it. I'll be throwing the rest of the bottle away and not using this particular biolage conditioner.

Comments about Matrix Biolage Sugar Shine Conditioner:

I needed shampoo and conditioner bad and decided to go with this when the stuff I actually liked (Biolage hydrasource) was out of stock. BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE. Now, the shampoo doesn't smell too terrible... it's too flowery and perfume-y for my taste but at least it didn't stink. When I opened up the bottle of conditioner though, I was taken aback. Had to do the sniff test in my hand to make sure it wasn't my own breath blowing back in my face. NOPE. This conditioner smells like straight up two-days-unbrushed Grandma Breath. I literally cannot believe the smell. I tried to use a hair mask afterward to get rid of the smell but it's still there. I have an interview now and have to go in there smelling like this. Guess I better pile on the Tori Burch perfume.

Comments about Matrix Biolage Sugar Shine Conditioner:

I bought this bc I've yet to use their line of shampoos and conditioners that I haven't liked. Most brands will cause a terrible build up or make my hair super greasy either on the first wash or about 1-2 weeks in. I can use matrix, any kind, and none have given any build up. I tried the shampoo, smells sweet like cotton candy, love the change from all the florals most shampoos are. I get the conditioner out and it's instant ick. Instant. Smells like really really bad breath. I was like, ok, maaaaybe, it'll offset the sweetness a bit? Nope and nope. I use an oil on my ends and that didn't help either. I can't smell the sugar shampoo at all. Bad breath smell has taken over my hair. I have no idea how this passed testers. Surely they could've used another smell. Get the shampoo, but find another matrix conditioner.

The plastic bottle smell leaches into the conditioner. Once you get past that, it smelled like lemon Lysol and lemon pledge had a secret love child.

This conditioner has a terribly toxic smell! I loved the way it made my hair feel light and silky so it gets one star, however the scent was so bad and lingered in my hair all day. I could even smell it in my shower between washes. The Biology Sugar Shine Shampoo smelled great, but the conditioner smells horrible, had to return.
