Most Helpful Positive Review I love this gentle shampoo! I really liked how gentle this product was on my hair!! It left me with very soft hair and it didn't hurt my color! I would totally recommend this to anyone who has color treated hair and needs a caring shampoo to cleanse with!
Most Helpful Critical Review Great for Color Treated Hair Overall, I'd rate this shampoo 3/5 stars. My hair isn't color treated anymore so I can't really speak in that regard. However, the shampoo felt really nice on my hair. I remember my hair use to be really dry when I would dye it light and I felt this shampoo was very moisturizing (I still have dry ends from heat styling). It did not lather up much, but I understand that's what you want with a color treated shampoo. Personally for me, I need a shampoo to lather up because I have very thick hair. That's why I'd recommend this product to people with normal thickness of hair. I also noticed this shampoo doesn't contain sulfates, which is a harmful ingredient for color treated hair. I realized it's a difficult ingredient to avoid in most shampoos. I wasn't crazy about the scent, but it didn't smell horrible either. I'm just more of a fruity rather than floral scent kind of person for my hair products. I tested Biolage R.A.W. for free, but all opinions are my own.

Love the product and it works so well on my fine hair that has highlights. I'm over 50 and the only thing is
it doesn't create body or clarify. It is NOT heavy on my hair at all - about once a week I do need a mild clarifier.
I would recommend a lifting product or blowing hair dry with head upside down for more body ~
Smells amazing and also recommend using a very small amount of conditioner at first to insure you don't get too much weight. ~
Love it 5

I love this product because there is no harmful chemicals. When you start the processes of zero silicones you have to give your scalp and hair time to recover. Yes you scalp and hair doesnt feel great until you fully rid silicone. This produce is the best. I love the way my hair & scalp feel. I have bleached hair and I can now airdry my hair and it still looks great.
Great for stubborn gray! 5
Nvale from Riverside
I bought a sample size and loved it. It keep my color an extra two washes before I have to touch up. Although I always use a sulfate free shampoo, my gray always peaks out after three washes. This gives me extra grayless time. You need to use quit a bit. It doesn't lather up.
Love this shampoo! 5

I am so glad I found a color care shampoo I love! I was using the Biolage Colorlast shampoo, but felt that it dried my hair out a bit. This Biolage R.A.W. Color Care Shampoo feels so moisturizing! People might not like that they don't get tons of suds as they would with a sulfate shampoo, but you can still get this massaged through your hair and scalp to get clean! The smell is nice, too. I can't tell how great it is at helping my color last because I've only used it for a few weeks, but my color looks good so far. I would recommend this!
My pastel pink hair doesn't fade 5
MUACosmo from Wichita
I'm a cosmetologist and have never found a shampoo that keeps color from fading like this one. I have light pink hair which usually fades pretty quickly. I was shocked after two weeks of using this shampoo that my pink hadn't faded at all. It takes time to get used a sulfate free shampoo because they don't have suds like you're used to. It can feel like it's not working and make you want to use more. Don't. Just because there's no suds, doesn't mean it's not working. I apply it at my scalp and work it through my hair down to the ends. Also I love that most of ingredients are natural and it's packaged in recycled material. It also smells great. This is the only shampoo I recommend to my color clients.
2nd bottle 5

i have tried many shampoo for color hair and my skin is very sensitive. Either I feel very itchy or very dry and sometimes my forehead feel the itch. I always suspected the chemical in the shampoo is not right for me. I have tried many different brand and voila! This is the one! my skin-No irritation no itch, my hair feel soft and shine.
Not for me 3

I have fine, color treated hair. This product, in my opinion, smells disgusting (is it vanilla?). It leaves my skin highly irritated and itchy (the burning sensation indicates allergy). It does not feel like I've washed my hair until the third or forth lathering of shampoo, but then it leaves my scalp really dry (why?). At least I was expecting the faded colors (scalding water + temporary colors = fading), so having the color last (even fading) for the past month was a plus.
Best shampoo I have used 5

My hair feels and looks much better since using this shampoo. A great find, highly recommend!
Would NOT buy again; 1 of most expensive/didn't deliver 1

Hoped to clean my hair without washing out color. It doesn't deliver on the "clean" part.
Love RAW Color Care for my processed hair! 5
Kmpn from Dobbs Ferry, NY
My hair is highlighted and colored every four weeks. My gray is really coming in so I've been lightening more with highlights. It was starting to feel dry like straw and look dull and lifeless/shapeless. I tried RAW color care and it made a huge difference from the beginning. My hair feels like my hair used to before the regular processing. It's not stringy or oily, but feels healthy and soft. It blow dries so much better and seems to withstand damage from styling much better. I love it.
Left my hair very greasy! 1
Julie from Dallas TX
I have used this shampoo at least 6 times now and i kept thinking I just not have fully rinsed my conditioner or maybe one of my styling products was the issue. Finally I realized the only common denominator was this shampoo. I wanted to love it so was very disappointed.
washes out color!! 3
Washes Out Color from Poulsbo, WA
Cleans well,as long as you have already gotten your hair used to non sulfate shampoo. If not, you'll have to endure the greasy look for a bit while your scalp adjustes to not having to produce so much oil. BUT, this washes my color right out even when using cold water. Do not recommend for color care.
Leaves my hair feeling greasy 1
KBI from LA , CA
I used together with the conditioner. Don't know which of the 2 is the culprit , but my hair feels greasy after washing it. I'm so disappointed.
Left greasy build up immediately 1
abby3 from Indianapolis, IN
I used this shampoo for 1 week and it left a terrible greasy residue in my hair. My hair looked wet because of how greasy it was. I thought it was the water because I recently moved but I showered once using different shampoo and it was gone. Ulta let me return it, which was great but I do not recommend this product.
Love! 5
Em from Iowa
I was super hesitant buying this shampoo/conditioner because of a lot of complaints of leaving their hair greasy. I have long, thin hair that gets oily quickly and this shampoo did NOT leave my hair greasy whatsoever. It smells amazing and after blow drying, it felt like how it does when I leave the salon. So glad I decided to buy. It's a great product and love that it's natural!
Great for OVERPROCESSED/COLORED hair 5
someone who knows how this product works from Los Angeles
This shampoo is freaking great. This shampoo isnt supposed to lather up. Its sulfate free. The more that your shampoo lathers, the less color you'll keep in your hair.
I recommend that you should alternate shampoos each time you shower for a clarifying one (like the Mateix Scalpsync) because this is supposed to hydrate your hair and scalp. Expect to have your scalp become a bit oily. It's a sacrifice to make to have healthy hair after a hair service.
I love this shampoo, it keeps my color fresh. 5

I wish you carried the milk rinse too.

I am not a fan of Raw shampoo, think I might return. I do like Matrix Color Care, so silver! Couldn't it st store?
I do not recommend this product! 1
Not happy customer from Auburn, WA
This shampoo/ conditioner is terrible for my hair. My hair feels greasy immediately after using it and it does not lather well at all. I just showered last night and it feels like I haven't washed my hair for a week! Terrible!

I only used it for 2 days. It completely stripped my hair color, made my hair greasy, and caused my scalp to itch. It also has a strong scent.
Love this! 4
L.M. from Los angeles
I usually use biolage matrix hydrating shampoo and conditioner- which I love! This time I tried the raw line and I really like it too! I have really long hair and I color it. There's also a lot of gray. This shampoo and conditioner was very gentle - It left my hair feeling really soft and thick! I've used it a few times in a row (several days apart) and it's beginning to feel a little heavy. So depending on the texture of your hair it might be one of those shampoos you use when you need a little extra moisture - it can build up. But I thought it was great - good quality ingredients
Love everything but the smell! 4
calgal40 from Valencia, CA
I absolutely love this product, and everything about how it made my hair feel! Left it soft and bouncy and full of volume without stripping my color. The only thing I disliked about it was the smell. I see a lot of reviews saying how the smell is great. To me, personally, it smells like old lady. Sorry, that is the best and only way I can describe it. Very overwhelming weird, musty smell that lingers quite a long time!
Good product for color treated hair. 5
Donna from Philly
I have color treated hair, and I was looking for a shampoo and conditioner that would make my hair texture less dry and put a shine to it. The Raw Biolage shampoo and conditioner met those needs. Nice smell as well.
Doesn't lather 2
Sam from Grand Rapids MI
I have very thick hair and this does not lather at all. I've used up almost an entire bottle in one week. Not worth the $$$.
I would recommend this product. 5

The Shampoo and Conditioner are the best.
