Comments about Matrix Biolage Cleansing Conditioner For Curly Hair:

I started using this product over a year ago and am in love with the idea of cleansing conditioner. I have fairly thick wavy hair that tends to break and frizz, and this product helps all of those problems. It doesn't clean the way traditional shampoos do (it doesn't foam and you need to leave it on for a few minutes) but my hair definitely is clean without drying it out. Since cleansing requires only one step, my hair suffers less breakage when cleaning and seems to be stronger when dry. I use the accompanying Biolage curl defining gel as well and find my hair is far more manageable overall.

I've been trying to keep my hair healthy ever since I cut it to grow it out again damage-free. So far this has worked, doesn't have an overpowering smell and feels good when you use it (minty cool feeling on the head).

It helps define curls all day. It does not lather well but it's not suppose to because it is a conditioner that cleans your hair. Conditioners never lather well. I use less product than ever before because I am not buying shampoo, conditioner, curl defining product or frizz control products.

                  • Q:

I am mixed (black, Korean and white), and my hair is soft but very curly. Not kinky, but spiral curls. It's kind of silky, but not thin at all-my hair has a lot of body. Not oily, but actually rather dry if I don't wash it every day. Is this product good for me?

When using the system of Smoothproof shampoo, conditioner and serum vs. a non-conditioning shampoo you can let go of frizz and unwanted volume with state-of-the-art formulas inspired by nature that mimic the water-resistant properties of the camellia flower. Formulas work to encapsulate hair and align the cuticle to help lock out moisture for control and smoothness even in 97% humidity.

Application of this product should be applied root to ends to help in frizz control. You may also want to consult with your Matrix stylist on additional application methods for variety styling.

Biolage Cleansing Conditioners are low foam, which means it contains mostly conditioning agents with some mild cleansing agents, that doesn't strip. A 2-IN-1 contains more shampoo than conditioner which strips hair strands and causes build-up.
