Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

Many are not understanding how to use this product. You are suppose to use it as a peel off base coat and not as a liquid latex polish. And the use is suppose to only last a few days. It will chip easily if you keep it on too long because it's supposed to come off a few days after applying. You are suppose to you it like this:

      1. Put on peel off base coat
      2. Paint your nail like you would normally once base coat is dry.
      3. Put on your top coat and boom a few days later you can peel off this product!

Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

I stole this from my sister over the holiday and decided to give it a shot. At first, it looked like glue so I was a bit skeptical. However, this peel off base coat did not affect my nail polish. I wore a new holographic nail polish and it still appeared beautiful on top of this peel off base coat.

With that being said, I was a bit disappointed that my nail polish began to chip after a few days. Although, I was helping a family friend move so that might be 95% of the reason as to why my nail polish began to chip..

I will say, I am an avid "picker" when it comes to nail polishes. At the first sight of a chip, i'll begin to pick at it until I clear away all of the polish from both hands. This absolutely destroys my nails. However, this peel off base coat was made it easy to remove the damage to my polish without actually harming my real nails.

I will be buying this in the near future.

Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

i bought this after reading everyones mixed reviews. some say its terrible for under polish and didnt work for them and some say it was great as a peel away clean up for around nails (like a latex kind of thing)

the directions say to put on a thick coat and let dry until clear.
i have tried this multiple times on my nails and the skin surrounding my nails...
i have had a quicker time using nail polish remover for everything then i did using this.

maybe im not waiting long enough... but it just said to wait until the base dried clear before doing anything else. i couldnt get it to pull off evenly, i couldnt get it to lift without digging... but, when i would least expect it, the entire nails polish would pop off...
when using around the bed to make clean up easy i couldnt get it to lift of my skin, it never fully dried around the tips of the nails... it wouldnt come off the cuticles...

not something id bother buying again.

knowing this was a peel off basecoat, i was still disappointed with how quickly the product started chipping. But when I intentionally tried to peel it off, it didn't peel cleanly or quickly.

Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

I absolutely HATE scrubbing my nails trying to remove glitter nail polish, it takes freaking forever. This stuff makes changing nail polishes a breeze. It's best done on a regular nail bed (no buffing!!) so it has something to stick to, and like the instructions say, make sure you lay down a -generously thick- coat. It takes a while to dry, but trust me, it's worth it! Some of my nail colors that had a penchant for chipping did not chip as much with this down. I think it had something better to adhere to and it's flexibility helps stabilize. Make sure to add a base coat, your nail polish color, and a top coat! The more layers you have, the easier it is to peel off. A cuticle/orange stick can also help.
My favorite thing is that if you mess up a nail, you can just peel it off and try again, instead of risking ruining your other nails using acetone. This is pretty much a must-have now.

Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

Used around nail on cuticles etc to stamp nail polish on & to do other trends as to dipping into floating polish on water. Peels off easy, just takes couple minutes to dry. Used blow dryer on nails after application to speed drying time.

Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

I started watching a YouTuber who inspired me to start doing my nails more often and recommended a peel off base coat and I found this one at Ulta. It went on nicely and I thought the results would be good but the next day I noticed big chips taken out of my nails. So when I went to remove the manicure I had so much trouble trying to take off the polish from the part near my cuticles versus the part where it just chipped off on the tip. Although I will say that using acetone definitely increased getting off the Polish vs just using regular nail polish or trying to peel it off by itself.

Comments about Sally Hansen Big Peel Off Base Coat:

This product probably shouldn't be labeled as a base coat as it isn't intended to be used on your actual nail. You paint this around your nail on the skin and allow to dry. Paint the nail as messily as you'd like then peel off. Viola! Salon looking manicure at home! It's my go to as I do a lot of stamping and sponging on my manicures. I always used to spend ages cleaning up the skin around my nails, and the use of nail polish remover around my nail was drying my cuticles badly and making all that skin peel. This product saves me from that.
