Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I'm so sad this didn't work for me. I don't have super thick hair, but I wouldn't say it's thin. I also have really long hair and the curls came out amazing BUT I hairsprayed them (with a hairspray that has worked on me before multiple times) and they would be out in 2 hours. I had a curler before that didn't even need hairspray to stay in so I guess this was a bit of a disappointment. Not worth the money when some of the cheaper ones work the same

Don't buy it. It might make your hair look nice for the moments it works. The truth of the matter is the Error 4 is more common than not. You might be thinking "No worries its warrantied" yeah it is. But you have to send it back with a check for $15 for them to send you a new one. And that is AFTER you have to prove to them that it is actually broken and you aren't just plugging it into the wrong type of plug (which basically is every single type of socket that isn't a stand alone socket in a wall with no other things plugged into it at all) Trust me, I hate writing bad reviews but save the money!

Not worth price in my opinion

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I seriously wanted to love this but I just couldn't and ended up returning it. I chose the 1.25 because my hair is thick and halfway down my back, but this didn't allow my hair to hold a curl for very long. Also I know you're supposed to leave a little bit of the ends out to achieve the beach look, but it just left my hair with a noticeable crimp where the clamp was. I have better luck with clamp-less wands so I think I might look into the drybar wand the next time the 20% coupon comes out.

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

i liked the concept of this but the barrel is way to small and the piece that held my hair was way too short. i'd like this if it was more of a curling iron that turned. it took way too long to do my hair with it compared to my big curling iron.

            Great product, excellent customer service

            from Ft Lauderdale, FL

Comments about Beachwaver Co. Beachwaver S1.25 Curling Iron:

I purchased the S1.25 and love it. I am not savvy with hair tools and bought this due to the rave reviews and its ease of use. There was no real learning curve, it is simple to use and I was happy with the results. After a few months though one of the directional motors sounded like it was struggling and the black tip heat protector began getting too hot to touch. Since I had registered the iron on the website, I contacted customer service regarding the issues. Usually when I need to contact a company I end up frustrated due to the lack of caring, knowledge and service I receive. Therefore, I did not expect to get a satisfactory outcome when I contacted Beachwaver, however I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received at Beachwaver!! The response to my email and offer to replace mine with a brand new iron was immediate and effortless. I was even sent a prepaid label to return my defective iron. I sent mine back and had a brand new one delivered within days. I'm hoping the issues I had with my first product was a fluke since I really do like the iron and think it is worth the cost. But I felt that I needed to write a review to commend the customer service I received as it was exceptional and deserves to be recognized as such. I really cannot say enough about my experience. All companies should take a page from their book!! Thank you Beachwaver!

Great question! Any Beachwaver® works great on thick hair and all hair types! If your hair is shoulder length or longer, the S1.25 would be an excellent choice. Is the ceramic barrel of the S1 more likely to damage hair than the gold infused tourmaline barrel of the more expensive beachwaver?

              1 answer

                A:

Both the Beachwaver S1 and Beachwaver Pro barrels are made of materials that will protect your hair from damage. We always recommend using a heat protectant spray prior to any heat styling. The Beachwaver S1 is made of protective ceramic and the Beachwaver Pro is made of protective ceramic tourmaline infused with gold powder. The gold powder helps distribute the heat evenly and the actual barrel itself is an inch longer than the S1.

We would definitely recommend the Beachwaver® Pro for extra long hair. The longer barrel length would benefit your hair length.

I am considering the purchase of the S1.25 but am concerned after reading the reviews the problem of error messages and not working. Has this been corrected? Just an fyi - I have a S1 which will only go to 350 degrees. I decided to keep it as it will curl my hair if I use extra product. I do love the curls and the ease of use, but am looking for something more wavy.

For the S1 and all Beachwaver irons, the digital temperature clock will lock as a safety feature so the temperature is not accidentally changed during use. To adjust the temperature, simply hold down the power button for a few seconds to unlock the clock. You will then be able to change to your desired temperature.

If any error codes are displayed, it is best to reach out to customerservice@beachwaver.com. All registered Beachwaver irons are covered under a one year warranty. Please email our Customer Service Team for further warranty registration instructions.

The Beachwaver S1.25 has a clamp that holds the end of your hair as you rotate the iron and will not damage the ends of your hair. For our signature beachy wave look, we recommend leaving an inch or two of your hair out.
