Most Helpful Positive Review Finally a Muted Yellow BB cream!
This is sheer coverage, but you can build it up slightly if needed. I got the "Vanilla Nude" shade and I'm so happy with it! I have a muted skin tone with yellow and olive undertones and I've been struggling to find a good match. My closest match (even among mid range foundations) is Revlon Buff, but it dries/oxidizes after a few hours to be a shade or two too dark for me. I also don't love the formula but I mix it with moisturizer and it's ok. Most sheer bb creams (and foundations) I have tried are way too orange/pink/bright for me, and I've been really struggling to find a match. BWM Vanilla Nude is sliiiightly too warm yellow for my skin technically if I put a heavy swatch on, but since the formula is sheer, it blends seamlessly with my neck (my neck is slightly yellower than my face, so the pink in my face mixes with the skin veil and evens out so nicely. I hope they keep this shade around for a long time! Also it doesn't dry or oxidize too dark for me! Depth-wise it's spot on.
The formula is lightweight and lovely. It's really everything I was looking for.
Most Helpful Critical Review NOT!! Non-comodegenic whatsoever!!
I wanted to love this foundation, and when I first put it on, I did! It went on super smooth and is honestly one of the first foundations I've used to date that made my skin feel smoother then it did before I used it, and it didn't feel heavy whatsoever! The coverage was medium to light, which is okay if you don't have post acne scarring or uneven skintone. If you have anything you really wanna cover up, this foundation isn't going to be a good choice for you.
I went about my day, hoping and praying my skin wasn't going to break out from this foundation. It was a mildly warm day, not too hot but definitely not cold. Typical spring day, actually. I had the foundation on for the majority of my day, so about 6 hours. I went home, looked in the mirror and was so so disappointed. It says it's non-comodegenic right on the bottle, and well, that's a bold faced lie!! I have NEVER had so many clogged pores (little white bumps) on my chin and jawline as I did the day I wore the nyx foundation!! Thank GOODNESS I have my curology skincare regimen, otherwise I know I would've brokem out horribly from this stuff!!
Bottom line is, if you have dry skin, and skin that isn't prone to breakouts, then this would be a good choice for you. If you're like me, and your skin gets clogged pores just by saying the word coconut oil, then STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT AS YOU CAN GET!! I wish I had taken pictures of my jawline the night I had worn this foundation!! I'm going to try and see if I don't have a good picture (I'm constantly taking pictures of my skin for my curology journey).
Please, take it from me, don't use this junk if your skin doesn't like clogged pores. Some p eoole can get away with clogged pores and not get them irritated and turn them into a huge, mean zit! Most, though, aren't blessed like that, myself included!
I'm so bummed though, because initially I did think it was a really nice product due to the feel of my skin and how smooth it made my whole face feel.

My go to CC cream was discontinued and I purchaed this based on reviews. Nice consistancy and very blendable. The coverage is light/medium and I can use it alone or blend it with my regular foundation. My skin is fair and tends to be dry. I will definitely purchase this again. Very nice product for the price!
The perfect every day coverage

I've tried so many drug store and high end tinted moisturizers and this is by far my favorite. So skin like and natural looking
Broke me out badly
rach from Washington
I wanted to like this. I really like how it applied, made my skin look nice and dewy. However the coverage only lasts a few hours. The worst part is how badly this broke me out. I never breakout on my forehead and got huge cystic acne after using this product. I wish I could get my money back.
I love it

I used this product every day ❤️🙌🏻

I've been one the hunt for a new lightweight foundation, but because of Covid, swatching in stores isn't allowed anymore and I've had the worst luck choosing foundations through the app. I decided to give this a try since it was on sale and it doesn't have a wide range of shade choices, meaning less chance of me picking the wrong shade! I'm still treating my acne scars, so if I want a big more coverage I just do some minor color correcting before applying and the finish is great.
My new holy grail!

For a bit of context, I've never been a big fan of foundation and it's not something I typically wear unless I'm going somewhere that I'll really need it. Most of the time I either spot conceal or go with a minimalistic makeup look. I use to use a tinted moisturizer by Neutrogena but they've discontinued it and the shade I use to get is now too dark for me. I ordered this in cinnamon mahogany and I love it. I feel like you can likely get more coverage depending on if your heavy handed and what tool you use to apply it. I do have a couple of acne scars around my lower left jar that are barely noticeable and I applied this with a beauty blender and it gave me very minimal coverage. When I applied it with a brush I got more coverage but we all know beauty blenders typically soak up more product. This does have a somewhat thick consistency but I was still able to spread it around nicely on my face. It evened out my skin tone and didn't feel heavy on my skin or oxidize plus it was a perfect match for me and it works well with other products. On me, it looks like my skin and like I don't have anything on. If you have problems with acne or really bad hyperpigmentation then this product probably won't work for you. You really only need one layer of this but I feel like if you try to do more than two layers than it'll start to look super cakey.
Surprisingly my new holy grail
TC from Minnesota
It's in the name, it's a tint. I prefer light/sheer coverage, but it's hard to find a true skin tint. A lot of marketed "tints" are actually just disguised as light foundations. I have dry skin and foundations usually tend to crease around my smile lines and nose. Not the case with this. I will admit I have blemish free skin so I'm mainly looking to even out w/ a bit of coverage. The finish really depends on how well I moisturize, but overall it gives a satin matte finish, but throughout the day it could turn slightly dewy. I wish Ulta sold all shades in store. And also important for me there's no fragrance and it's cruelty free!

Minimal coverage for everyday if you just need a small amount of coverage
Perfect Shade Match, But Not for Full-Coverage Adddicts
Brianna from Upstate New York
I bought my first bottle of this last summer and was surprised that the shade I chose (Cinnamon Mahogany) matched me so well! It's also super lightweight, so my face doesn't feel heavy or clogged when I wear it!
While this isn't a negative for me, it should be mentioned that this product gives very light coverage. So if you're the type to go for something full-coverage, you'll most likely be very dissapointed.
I like it
Nudes and Naturals from Denver, CO
I normally am a full coverage liquid foundation + baking person, so I was really out of my element here. Firstly, regarding the shade range (as a medium toned half Asian girl) I understand the shade range looks minimal, but it blends in really well! It's sorta like magic how well it blends into your skin, since the initial color does not look close to my skin. That being said, unless if you're a perfect match, you can't really build up coverage in certain areas. Although it does build, the color looks weird. Another thing is this product feels pretty sticky, so it kinda feels weird putting it on my face and it tugs a bit, so watch out for that. However, while it's on it feels really great and my skin finally feels like it can breathe again, while having a bit of coverage on there. Some advice for combination skinned girls, just put a bit of powder in your oily areas since throughout the day it can get pretty bad if you don't. Conclusively, I have definitely converted to this type of makeup.

I'm usually a medium to full coverage girl, but with Covid-19, I stopped wearing makeup for a minute. I finally decided to return to makeup but decided I didn't want a full make up look. I discovered this by searching here and absolutely love it. It gives me an even tone (fair skin with acne scarring).
Perfect shade and good consistency/texture
Kermit from Texas
As a light neutral/cool olive (NC15-20, which is still too yellow) I have a hard time finding a product that's the right shade and undertone. Most everything turns too pink, peach, orange, or yellow on me—very few products have a green undertone. Bare With Me in Vanilla Nude does! This formula is also not sticky when it dries down, and isn't heavy at any point. When I first applied it I was afraid it would have no coverage whatsoever but was pleased to see it did a good job of balancing out my discoloration. My mom said she could tell I had something on my face but in a more put together than usual sort of way. I'm going to keep a stash of this on hand. I hope the color and formula stick around for a while.
Bare minerals dupe?
JJ from Los Angeles
I've used the Bare Minerals foundation for a while...and I think I'd stick to this over it.
I have normal to oily skin with texture.
I do prefer lighter coverage. I set this with translucent powder and it lasts well

For the record, I have very oily acne prone skin with severe scarring and most foundations, even matte oil free, look like garbage on me. this with a little bit of powder in my oil zones... looks very natural. This is a true holy grail for me!
Wanted to love, caused breakout
Megumi from Seattle, WA
I really wanted to love it, and I did for the first few uses. I am pretty pale (and yet I don't think I'm unusually so), so I was happy that the lightest shade is actually pale enough and is neutral in undertone. It's also safe for fungal acne (pityrosporum folliculitis or malassezia folliculitis), which is a major plus as so many base products have ingredients that cause fungal acne to flare up. The first few uses seemed fine - a little dry looking if you're super up-close but not bad. It did as I expected - evened out my skin tone without major coverage. However, over the weekend I got clusters of bumps by my chin! Normally my skin is only sensitive to fungal-acne-flaring ingredients, and since we know this isn't the cause, it must be a normal breakout (bacterial). It's the only new product I've been using recently so I know it's the cause.

This tinted skin veil provides medium coverage. It looks so natural on. I absolutely love the finish. The color match was also perfect. I am mac nc 25 and bought true buff beige. It does not have a scent. It also does not sink into fine lines or latch onto dry patches. This is my go to on a daily basis. I have super sensitive skin and it does not cause any redness or irritation. I hope they always continue this line- the bare with me products are fantastic- especially this one.
Perfect light coverage

I was impressed with how perfect the coverage is while feeling light on my skin.
Mel M. from NJ
I've used many tinted moisturizers in the past, but never have they provided such amazing coverage from just a little bit of product. Not to mention, never has my skin felt so soft and dewy from a tinted moisturizer. I'm hooked! Hope NYX keeps this around for life!
Finally a Color Match!
Christina from Los Angeles
As a light olive/yellow/neutral girl it's next to impossible finding stuff that works for me. Vanilla Nude is a great match. I also love the formula very much, it covers redness (does not cover my acne/acne marks but I don't expect it to).
ARandomCollegeStudent from Concord, NC
I use this product every day. It's a really good lightweight foundation, the only thing I don't like is that the coverage could be a little better. But overall I like this product!
Colors never match me, so wouldn't buy again.

Had great coverage , and gives a good natural look. But the colors are never good for my skin , they are always off.
i could literally cry i love this sm
julz from grand rapids, mi
if nyx ever discontinues this i will literally have to riot. this is an affordable dupe for the glossier tint and the shades/quality/ingredients are even better than glossier's imo. as a pale girl im ecstatic that pale light blends into my skin perfectly as this is very very rare. im oily prone so i have to use blotting sheets and reapply powder throughout the day (i wear this from 7am to 11pm and sometimes later lol) but thats do able, and the ingreidents are all safe (checked on skincarisma) and keep my extremely sensitive acne & rosacea prone skin clear and happy. i never write reviews but im literally so happy about this product thank you nyx 🥺❤️

I was surprised I liked this. I expected the color to not match up well. Instead it matched up perfectly. It is not full coverage but does enough for a no makeup makeup look/even out skin. It has a natural leaning towards dewy skin finish. It lasted all day/stayed in place and did not transfer. I used my SPF moisturizer and the NYX Bare With Me SPF Moisturizing primer under this. I read some complaints about it causing flakes or emphasizing dryness on dry skin. I have dry skin in colder months and more normal skin in warm months. Skin care has always been a number one factor in how a product shows up on the skin for me as well as staying hydrated and eating well. At the same time, we all have different reactions/responses and we all use different skin care products. If the product is flaking or peeling, it may be because it is not meshing well with a moisturizer or primer. Some products breakdown due to the ingredients when they come in contact with others. If you have dry skin, I'd suggest using a moisturizer before using this. If it is emphasizing dry skin, it is possible that one's skin care regimen needs tweeking. Nevertheless, you may see texture with a tinted moisturizer. It's made to go on sheer and look like skin. It's a tinted moisturizer.
better than I expected
ash from Georgia
The product is a little thicker than I was expecting but it works great for a very light makeup day where I just want to even out my skin. Perfect light amount of coverage and the shade is great. I have normal to oily skin.
