Most Helpful Positive Review great product and price
I'd been looking for an oil cleanser that wouldn't irritate my acne because I know that the usual lathery cleansers I use aren't great for oily/acne prone skin (although that was the only thing that would ever actually clean the oil off my skin), and other natural oils I used always left a nasty residue no matter how much I washed it off (making me break out more). The first time I used this I just rubbed it in and rinsed it off with water because I was in the shower and I HATED IT. I decided to give it another chance and instead of rinsing it I used a wet washcloth to gently wipe it off and it was so much better! It completely cleans my skin leaving it healthily shiny, SO SOFT, oil free, non-tight (like all my other cleansers), and my face isn't even red afterwards (I have very sensitive skin and even a makeup wipe turns it beet red for a bit). It hasn't irritated my acne at all and it hasn't really improved it either, but I wasn't expecting it to. Overall I LOVE THIS PRODUCT, it works well and it's a steal compared to my other $25-35 cleansers. I wish it didn't have a scent but that is very minimal in my opinion.
Most Helpful Critical Review Frustrating!
Do you enjoy a stressful cleansing experience? Not a fan of removing your makeup? Always wondered how it would feel to leave a whole stick of butter sitting on your face? Need to see how good your second cleanser works? This cleansing oil is for you!
Doesn't remove makeup no matter how much you massage it or for how long, doesn't emulsify or rinse off. Smells great and leaves your face super soft (because it's oil, and it's not actually capable of rinsing away) but a week of that will break anybody out. I guess if you have the driest skin in the universe, don't wear makeup, and have always wanted to try leaving loads of oil that's now saturated with all the dirt/pollution/dead skin of the day on your face, then go for this cleansing oil! But if not, I'd skip it.
Not my first oil cleanser rodeo--there are dozens out there (even in drugstore brands) that emulsify and rinse off cleanly and y'know, actually take off makeup. If you're new to oil cleansers, pick a different one. This isn't representative of oil cleansers as a whole and if this was your only foray into the genre it might turn you off forever.
Returned it; bummer.

The scent overwhelms me. I'm concerned that the fragrance will make me break out.

I use this second in my double cleanse routine after cleansing balm. The smell is strong but will not linger after rinsed off. It's just watery enough not to be too oily, and removes all makeup. My skin feels clean and smooth after.

I normally use this when I'm taking off makeup. I don't use makeup wipes anymore because they're wasteful, so this is a gentle way to break up makeup before using a foaming cleanser. I also use it to clean my strip lashes and remove pigment from my brushes before washing them with brush cleaner. This also works well with an eyebrow razor when I'm shaping up my brows and sideburns. It does have a watery consistency, but it is effective.

I want to like this as a first step in my double cleanse but it just burns my eyes so bad no matter how careful I am. I believe it's due to the scent and my sensitive eyes but still disappointing. I like everything else about it, how well it works, price, etc. Be warned if you have sensitive eyes like me, it can irritate your eyes!
Great for normal to dry skin

I love this cleanser. I use it morning and night. It has really helped my dry winter skin. I would recommend to anyone with sensitive skin. It reduced redness and is very moisturizing.
1st Step of Double Cleanse
Tiffany from Atlanta
So this product is the first step of a double cleanse. I purchased it because it looks like a dupe for Urang cleansing oil. However, this does not come close to comparison. This product is very runny; not thick like you'd want an oil cleanser to be. It doesn't attach to your makeup in an ideal way for removal. Even after my 2nd step foaming cleanser, which I have to use twice after using this product, there's still a small amount of foundation on my cotton pad that I use to apply toner. Technically, the product can work. If you use it twice. Then use your 2nd step cleanser..also twice. I will not purchase this product again. Now that I've done a dutiful comparison of a pricier cleansing oil and a bargain but similar-ingredient cleansing oil, I'm gonna go back to the quality product. The better cleansing oil lasted me six months; I only needed 1-2 pumps per use. This product you need like 10 pumps and it still isn't even getting everything off. Do not recommend. Buy a quality cleansing oil if you're going to use one.

Melts my makeup away with just a small amount. It smells amazing too!
Smells like candy

This cleansing oil left a smelly residue on my face even after using a liquid cleanser for a double cleansing routine. It also did not remove all of my sunscreen. I plan on returning it.
I honestly love this product
Rachaaaaa from Chicago, IL
I honestly like this product. I see a lot of people complaining and saying it's greasy or oily or whatever... ummmm yeah... it's an oil cleanser! All you need to do is follow up with your regular cleanser. It's like... You wouldn't use a makeup wipe and not follow it up with your normal cleanser, so why would you use an oil cleanser and not follow up??? I'm confused... because you wouldn't go to the desert and complain it's dry lol, But I love this stuff.. It's gentle... and ill just use it at night and be okay with not following up with a cleanser because I like to think that the oil is repairing my moisture barrier lol.. Next, I wanna see if I can use this product to remove my sebaceous filaments.
I love it!

I have super dry skin, so I thought an oil cleanser would be worth a try and I love it! It literally melts the makeup off of your face without drying out your skin!
My favorite oil cleanser
Vaeh from Des Moines
I love this oil cleanser! it's smooth and gets all of the makeup and dirt out. Make sure you're using a water based cleanser after using this!!
Em from USA
This oil cleanser works really well, you just have to go in with a second cleanser in order to remove all of the oil on the skin. It was annoying at first, but I don't mind it now. This cleanser gets all of the makeup lifted and leaves my skin feeling really soft afterwards!

This works well as a make up remover, but leaves face oily.
Does the job
Shan from Indians
I have been using this product for over a year as step one in double cleansing. It does a great job melting away all of my eye makeup and removing all of the rest of my makeup without drying out my skin or being too harsh. It rinses away with a emery washcloth. I have tried more expensive products like Elemis and Drunk Elephant and this does just as well.
Smells good, but doesn't take off any makeup
Sarah from MI
Like the title says, didn't take off any makeup and just leaves a big mess. At least it smells good b
Don't be afraid to try if you have oily skin!
Abby from South Carolina
At first I was a little skeptical since heavy materials tend to weigh on my skin, but I tried this and it works great! It smells like vanilla, and it does feel a little heavy while I'm using it, but it washes right off so it's no big deal. I use this with their foaming cleansers and they really get the job done. :)
My favorite oil cleanser
Cricket from Washington State
My favorite oil cleanser. Doesn't hurt my sensitive eyes, smells amazing and has SUPER clean ingredients.
A great cleaning oil!
Beauty Lover from SC
This cleansing oil removes all makeup, even waterproof mascara, and leaves my skin feeling clean and hydrated. I often use only this cleansing oil to clean my face at the end of the day. I don't need to use another cleanser after this one because it doesn't leave a residue on my skin (I use a damp washcloth to take the cleansing oil and makeup off my face). Also, the cleansing oil smells good.
FrustratedDoubleCleanser from WY
I have used many different oil cleansers before and this one just completely missed the mark. It's suppose to remove makeup and cling to oils on our face then be washed off with water. This does not wash off with water and it was so frustrating because you couldn't get the oil off your face. My face would literally look like the bottom of a cooking pan. Terrible. Just terrible. Save yourself the trouble. Get a good oil cleanser. Not this one.
ST93 from California
This didn't take off any makeup what so ever. It literally just moves it around and then leaves a film like feeling on your face after rinsing it off with water. I was using this as my first step to remove my makeup and then go in with my cleanser but this product didn't work for me at all.
Double Cleanse Step 1
Aizek from TX
I apply this on dry skin to remove/melt the makeup I had on for the day and it works immediately. Then I gradually add water and it slowly starts to come off but then has this greasy texture to it so this is when I go in with a second cleanser to thoroughly wash off everything. I have never used this alone-always as part of my double cleanse routine. But it def does a great job of melting the hardest makeup off!
CC from houston, tx
Product doesn't emulsify and leaves a greasy film, would not recommend for first time oil cleansers. :/

Best thing for my skin
MrsLesleeG from Richmond, VA
Massage product into skin, wipe off with warm, soft washcloth. I have oily skin, so it seems counter intuitive that this would work, but I see the overnight oily production on my own skin reduced.
Niah from Philadelphia
I have super oily acne prone skin so i was skeptical, but i love it! It cleans my skin while keeping it hydrated. I double cleanse with a regular face wash wash after this. It didn't cause any extra breakouts or extra oily-ness
