Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

This is my Go-To foundation. As a Mature Woman, I don't have the time or patience for liquid foundation. Nor does my skin like it; it never has. I can apply this as lightly as I want for a quick fix. Or I can be heavy-handed for more coverage for evening or dramatic looks. Also, because my skin tends to be sensitive and oily, this doesn't dry or cake or my face. Nor does it accentuate my fine lines or pores.

    Amazing but pricey

    By AbbyMr

    from RVA

Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

I've had a hard time finding foundation light enough for me but this worked perfectly! It has a nice buildable coverage and doesn't make my skin look yellow like a lot of light foundations do. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey. I think it lasted me about six months of everyday, low-coverage use, which is actually pretty good, but I've gotten just as much use out of cheaper foundations.

The shade range on this product isn't good. The lightest shade is really, really light-- it's basically a frosty highlighter. I got the next shade and it's really on the bronze/tan side. I didn't return it because I've decided I can probably use it in the summer time as a bronzer. It does have a dewy look to it.

I've used so many different make ups over the year and nothing has EVER compared to this. I like enough coverage to look natural. This is perfect. My skin is also VERY VERY sensitive and I could even sleep in this make up (even though I don't recommend for obvious reasons) and my skin would be ok. Normally with other make up, by the end of the day my skin is greasy looking and my make up is worn. Laura Gellar has created a great product!

I just bought this product and I am loving the coverage and color. It's light with still makes my skin look flawless. The only problem I have been experiencing is it doesn't stay on my nose. I've tried with with and without a primer underneath and I have tried it wet and dry. Half way through the way the foundation is completely off my nose and I can see a line were the oil has started. I have combination skin, but I wouldn't say my skin is any more oily than the average person. Do you have a recommendation on a product that would be better for this problem or any tips on how to prevent the problem? I really want to like this product, but I just need it to stay on my nose better.

I've been using this product for a long time, and I needed to buy a new one. I bought a new one and it's the exact same product and shade as my old one, but it makes my skin look orange. I'm afraid if I buy a new one it will be the same and make me look orange again. What should I do?

You purchased the exact same shade? I have noticed that the fair is much more neutral, and the light makes the skin look a lot warmer, and in some cases, a bit orange. Since we offer 9 shades, I would recommend trying out a different shade with more of a neutral or cooler undertone. If you wear light, try the fair. The link below is our shade finder which you would find very helpful. Enjoy!

I just bought Plexiderm for my under eye bags. You must use a foundation without liquid ( oil or water) to maintain the effectiveness of the plexiderm. Will this product work for me? I'm 60, have acne scars and still some breakouts. My skin is on the dry side and have some sun damage. I need all the help I can get!!! I have used LG products before and been very pleased.

This product actually does contain jojoba oil which is a skin conditioning oil. It is baked into the product and there is a very small amount, so it never looks or feels oily on the skin. I am not sure if this will be ok for you. All of our foundations to contain some sort of oil or water, I am so sorry! I would recommend giving this a try though, because it is a baked powder it could be ok!

If our BB Cream in Medium worked, then this product in Medium will work perfectly for you. Thank you for your love for LG products! Balance-n-Brighten is one of our best selling products, it orders medium-buildable coverage and looks incredibly natural on the skin. Since you have dry skin, I do recommend trying the Quench-n-Tint. This is our updated version of the BB cream. The shade medium should work perfectly. I use the Quench-n-Tint first and then Balance-n-Brighten over it. Please see the link below so you can read more about it. Enjoy!

Hi, I've never tried this brand before. I have oily to oily/combo skin, prone to acne, and disappearing acne scars with a good amount of redness on my cheeks. Can this product cover all that? Is this meant to be full coverage? Also, what type of brush works best with this?

                    A:

This product delivers medium coverage, however it is buildable. I like full coverage, so I use a cream foundation underneath and then this as a setting powder. If you later this on top of our Quench-n-Tint hydrating foundation (sheer coverage) or the Cover Lock Cream foundation (full coverage), you will have the most flawless, full coverage you can imagine! The denser the brush, the more coverage you will obtain. I like to use a big fluffy kabuki brush that is very dense, that way it'll grab a lot of pigment and give me the coverage I am looking for. Enjoy!

It absolutely will! Apply in the morning while you're doing your makeup and if you get oily throughout the day, you can apply a light dusting just over the oily spots and it will absorb oil without building. I also recommend trying our Spackle Primer that mattifys the skin and helps with oil control. Please see the link below!
