Most Helpful Positive Review THE BEST SEA SPRAY!!!! The best sea spray on the planet, hands down! The body and volume you get with this is unbelievable. I have wavy curly, colored treated highlighted, fine to medium, shoulder length hair that frizzes like crazy. And guess what, I live in FL. When I want to wear my hair curly, this spray paired with the PM awapuhi whip mousse is amazing. Definition, frizz control, no crunch, no stickiness, beautiful bouncy soft voluminous hair, with ton of body. Smells amazing. As the rest of this PM wild ginger awapuhi line which has many other amazing priducts. I love this line. A winner.
Most Helpful Critical Review Need to use too much Used the amount I always did with the Alterna Multiplying Mist volumizing spray but I couldn't tell I had put anything in my hair. Felt like it was perfectly clean and limp and straight. I had to really spray a TON all over and it comes out heavy so my hair was sopping wet before I started blow drying. I will run out of this product super quickly at this use rate so this is not a good buy for the money when there are others that you can use way less to achieve the same result.

I use it to add body to my thin hair
it is indeed a good product 5
Astrogirl77 from So. Fl.
my hair is wavy to curly, bleached, very frizzy, very long, lots of it but fine, lacks volume. This spray is a GREAT volumizer, the volume you get is unreal. it is NOT a second day waves reviver, and if you overspray you can get sticky hair. it is NOT a defrizzer, but I am ok to embrace some frizz if I get a super voluminous mane. And this always give me great body, both on lenght and at roots. So believe the good reviews as this is indeed a good product. It is a sea salt spray , so you need to use sparingly or find the right amount your hair can handle. if you go with this heavily trying to revive your 2nd day hair you won't get desirable results. Again, it is a sea spray, not a re-styler.
A Must Have 5

I don't use this in the beachy texture way, I use it on each section of hair as I am blowdrying. My hair stylist taught me this 10 years ago, and I have been doing it ever since. I would never leave home without this.
The worst! 1
No nonsense from Monterey, CA
I bought this stuff because I wanted to refresh my waves without a sticky residue. The reviews made it sound pretty good and the ingredients didn't include a lot of oils. What a mistake!!! I just sprayed my hair with it and it's a sticky, stringy mess! I can't get it out without washing it and I don't have time. My hair is flat and dull...a disaster!!! I have very wavy hair but it's hanging there with no life. It dries like it has grease in it. And the top of the nozzle is rounded so my finger kept slipping off and I kept spraying myself in the eye, which the instructions tell you not to do!! I'm returning this TODAY with a scarf on my head. What a lesson I learned this morning! Don't rely on reviews and don't believe everything you read!!!!!!

Summer humidity has never been kind to my curly hair. Within an hour my hair is a frizzy mess. Tried this at the recommendation of a friend. My wild hair now has well defined curls. I'm finally embracing my curly hair in the summer!

I use it in the morning or throughout the day to refresh my curl and when after washing as a product to keep the curls
Perfect for my waves! No need to try another product like it 5

I've been in love with the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Ginger line for years but I never knew so many of their styling products could just as amazing as the shampoo and conditioner. By the time I tried this product, I was already using 5 other products in this line. So I was pretty confident in trying it. I had kinda stop trying texturizing styling products because my hair is so fine and wavy and tangles so easy and most texturizing products weighed my hair down or was sticky or made my tangles worse or just flat out didn't work at all. But since I loved so many other products in this line and fully switched over to those products, I was interested to try. Well let me tell ya, this line proved itself once again.
It is seriously like night and day. I got so many compliments on my shiny natural waves. And it equally was amazing on my side as far as not being sticky. And not being heavy or tangly. And I loved the fact that my hair was not too bad the next day either. So many texturizing or curling products cause my hair to turn to one big dreadlock after sleeping on it so I am forced to wash it everyday if I want to use it everyday. And my hair is already so prone to dryness.
So I have no need to try another product like it. It's perfect for me.

I do not like this product I had to return it it smelled funny. The smell was gross. Honestly I love Paul Mitchell but this product I don't know why but the wild Ginger just smells horrible. Used it once and returned it. Maybe if they change the smell I might try it again
Works well... 4

The fragrance is ok...the hold is pretty good. Not crunchy at all. I have a natural wave and keeps frizziness away with the exception of my front layers which are always an issue for me. Wave holds initially but after about an hour or 2, it starts to frizz and waves fall out. Still recommend overall.

Love this spray! 5
Love the waves! from VIRGINIA
I wash my hair at night, spray some of this in and let it air dry. It really brings out the natural wave/curl in my hair. In the morning, it takes minimal work to tame and I am ready to go!
Best Sea Salt Spray 4
Maria KK from Clarksburg, WV
My hair is slightly wavy. This product adds the right amount of texture to give me messy but professional waves. I've tried other less expensive products but this one adds enough hold to fluff and stay. I spray it on damp hair, scrunch and that's it! Worth the price.
a miss for Paul Mitchell product 1
jilliebean from fort wayne
not sure if i would say this texturized my hair at all, sad when you pay so much for hair products and they do not really work
Great product to add texture 5
ShopperLady99 from High Point, NC
I frequently use the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturing Sea Spray to add/enhance texture in my hair. My hair is thick and has a fair amount of natural texture. I can use a few sprays of this product at the roots before drying to add volume without stiffness or stickiness. Or I sometimes spritz it sparingly on already dry hair to enhance my texture. The product smells great, isn't heavy, and just a small amount will do the job.
Allergic Reaction 1
Chelsea from Lexington Kentucky
Had a severe allergic reaction to this resulting in a red rash, swelling and hives. Make sure to do a test patch first!
As far as my hair, I wasn't impressed. Very heavy and greasy and made my hair stringy. 10/10 I do not recommend...
Works well for fine spiral curls. Little product needed. 4

Spray 3-4 pumps of this into right-out-of-the-shower-wet hair. Then add a pump of Redken Curvaceous Ringlet. Wrap in old t-shirt or microfiber towel. Let dry much. Done.

This is a great product. Doesnt leave my hair sticky and smells great. Easy to use. Great if you are just starting to use this type if product. Also works great on wet or dry hair which is a plus.
Sticky! 3
Bucks County Girl from Doylestown
My stylist recommended that I try this spray on my naturally curly hair to give it more volume. I was disappointed in how sticky and heavy the spray leaves my hair feeling.
I Adore This Product 5
Laura B from Hutchinson, KS
This product adds texture and volume to my baby-fine hair. Without it, my hair looks flat.
My go to texturizer! 5
thefinerthings from Lancaster, CA
I starting using this when my regular products that I used to add volume to my many strands of fine hair had begun to dry it out. This product not only adds the volume and texture I need for my hair it keeps it in soft and healthy. Love it!
Not what I was expecting... 2

I love trying organic products but lately nothing has worked, including this product. It dried out my hair, made it look frizzy & like a poof-ball. Let me remind you..my hair is straight. I talked to my hair stylist & she said maybe it was too much protein for my hair. So I'm guessing you have to try it out for yourself. My hair did not settle well with it & I tried it twice.
Don't even doubt for a minute about buying this!!!! 5
Bandycaine1945 from Delaware
I bought this on a recommendation from my stylist - OH MY WORD - I am normally too cheap to buy Paul Mitchell but my hair is really short/limp and I like to spray something in it if I do not feel like taking the time to style - LORDY does this work so well - it gives me texture and oh so much body, I use it by itself, with other styling product, blow dry it or leave it wet, it looks great!
My new favorite! 5

Produces great tasseled waves and maintains a smooth finish.
I might try something different next time 2

I definitely chose this salt spray because of the reviews. I've gotta say, I'm surprised by all the raves. I don't think it's anything to get excited over, especially for the price. The smell is strong and I've got to believe there's a better salt spray out there. I literally said the word "meh" out loud after I sprayed it on my hair the first time. I've only used it on dry hair so far. It did tame some frizz but didn't add any definition or texture.
