This for some reason made me break out! little bumps all over. Maybe i'm allergic. But it also didn't last at all. very pretty when you first apply, but after about an hour it was all gone and looked like i had random sparkles. my dry skin showed all the flaws when wearing it too. especially when i started getting the bumps. Will be returning actually because i'm so unsatisfied! But the colors are sooo pretty, i wish it would've worked for me

It is rather expensive and unfortunately does not meet my expectations. Seemed a little too chalky and glittery for my taste.

Comments about Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit:

I own way too many highlighters/illuminators! I own four ABH Glow Kits, and the Amrezy. I really love the Aurora kit; its a lot of fun. Very versatile. A couple shades can appear a bit scary in the pan, but its just that they are concentrated. Once you put your brush in the pan, then brush to skin you see that the color- even, and especially the orangey one is very beautiful. There is a bit of glitter in these shades, so I recommend spritzing your brush lightly with either water, MAC Fix +, or something w/glycerin in it such as a Mario B Rose Water, etc. before dipping in and applying to high points of cheeks. For ladies like me- over 40 (I'm 40), I don't recommend placing these on the apples of the cheeks, above the brows, chin, or nose. These are just not nose HL's period- too much glitter. For a 'HL to the gods'- apply w/ a damp brush, set face w/setting spray, then apply some more!

Comments about Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit:

Kinda glittery, but otherwise amazing. some shades wear down to look like pure glitter, but i dont mind it. I would stay more light handed with the blue, purple, and gold if you have fair/light skin, unless you want blue across your cheekbones. :)

Wow I love this highlight palette!! I am a huge highlighter fan and was looking for something different--well this is it! The colors are actually very wearable, yet can be built up to be more dramatic/editorial. Love the diversity in this palette and since purchasing it, it has been in my travel bag every time. Highly recommend if you're on the fence! Moonchild is also beautiful and super fun!

Comments about Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora Glow Kit:

I bought this as a special occasion gift since I normally go for cheaper options and I'd been wanting it for a while, so here's the breakdown.

Aurora or Moonchild? Aurora is better in terms of variety of shades. I wanted a palette that my girlfriend could also use and since she's darker 5 out of 6 shades in the Moonchild palette were too light for her. Moonchild has a lot of the same light iridescent shades and all very cool toned, Purple Horseshoe would be the only one dark enough for her. In Aurora, Helia, Orion, Lyra, and Spectra all work for her.

Do you need it? No. But you get a good amount of product and it has a couple colors that are good for everyday use (I use Eclipse and Lyra) I'd imagine Luna could be a great everyday color for extremely fair people, too.

Is it worth the money? It depends. If you're someone like me who wears highlighter daily, I would rather my money go towards something that I'll get a good use out of rather than an eyeshadow palette or a few lipsticks. I knew that I would use all of the shades at some point or another (Orion and Spectra probably the least but I knew that my aforementioned girlfriend loved those shades anyways)

How messy is it? Messy enough that you'll find stray glitter all over your face within an hour of application (Even less if you touch your face without thinking like I tend to do) Seriously. It gets everywhere. Sometimes if you swatch it with your fingers it'll crumble a bit in the pan. Not a whole lot, just enough that it's annoying. It's the biggest con of this palette, not a big deal as long as you're careful that you don't drop it and you're okay with having some glitter all over your face.
It is very glittery. It has a visible glittery finish on the face when you wear it so it's not the most natural looking.

All in all, it's worth the money if you like the palette enough. The colors are all very pigmented and it has a good range of wearable to more unusual shades. There's nothing else like it.

If you use with a wet brush these will be BLINDING. I'm not really into the blue one but the rest and SO gorgeous! The really do give a magical looking sheen. So unique but so wearable.
