HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I'm traveling overseas for 3 weeks and I'm trying to find one with 220V so I can use it on my trip (mine is 110V and I'm not willing to chance blowing it out since I use it EVERY DAY).
I purchased this curling iron in the store about a year ago. I went in wanting the beachwaver and the sales associated talked me into the CHI since it was so much cheaper. I went home right away to start playing with it and test it out. I have very fine hair (albeit a ton of hair on my head). Typically my hair does not hold a curl with a normal curling iron - it will fall out after only a few hours and my hair will be limp by the end of the day. The curling iron was strange to use at first with the automatic curl, but it just took me playing with it one time to really get the hang of it. When I purchased the product, I had hair that was down to my bra line, about 6 months ago, I cut it to a shoulder length bob. I still use this curling iron every day - even with my new shorter do! I can get a great bouncy loose curl, a beachy wave, or tighter ringlets. If confused about how to use this curling iron, there are plenty of youtube videos showing the different techniques to achieve the different looks.
This curling iron is awesome.... when it works! Mine keeps malfunctioning. The screen will stay lit up, but the degree number will not be visible anymore, and the rotating function will completely stop working. It will work for the first few curls, and then stops working. Very frustrating. I'm going to exchange it for a new one at Ulta, it seems like I am the only one experiencing this issue so hopefully it's just a fluke!

I love this curling iron! When I originally got it (2014?) my hair was past my shoulders and I used it every time I'd curl my hair, which was almost on a daily basis. At one point, my hair was short (just past my jaw) and I still used this curling iron. It worked great for tight or loose curls. I liked having the shorter clamp (which did not "crimp" my hair) because it made for different ways to style. I also have had extensions and this curling iron did wonders for them! Sometimes I used the automatic curling option, but most of the time I just curled it myself because it was faster. Over time the clamp decided that it wasn't going to close all the way, which I believe was due to the thickness of pieces I would try to curl at a time (when I was in a hurry). But this iron lasted me about 4 years. Since the clamp broke, I decided to try a new curling iron (Hot Tools 1 1/4 inch) because of the price of this one, but it's not the same and I haven't been happy with my curls since! I'm going to break down and buy it again because it really was worth it!

Where has this been my whole like? I absolutely love this for curling my hair, it takes all of the guess work out of making beautiful curled!

I have bought 2 of these, and both quit working after 6 months of use. I only use it once a week on medium length hair. I have an old cheap curling iron that has lasted for 15 years without any problems, but this design is very prone to electrical problems. Both stopped working with an ERR message. I could unplug and jiggle it to get it to work sometimes, but I expect more from an expensive product.

I try and use this with the clamp but every time I do it crimps my hair where I clamped it. I tried lowering the heat all the way, not clamping all the way down, etc. Nothing. It crimps every time. Only good for very thick, long hair.

I tried this out for the first time last night because I had an early valentines day date with my boyfriend. I loved how easy and quick it was to use. My hair could've looked a bit better but this was the first time I tried it out so I bet when I use it more my hair will be perfect. I really loved it.

I have very thick and mid back length hair. Had beautiful bouncy curls in 20 minutes. Just love.

My hair does not curl easily. This curling iron is a dream. It curls beautifully, the curls hold and it has lots of settings with an automatic roller and clip at the end of the curling iron that holds hair in place for easy styling!
Tried every hair curler out there from Harrisburg
Love the way this curls but gosh those heels are so loud when you're trying to curl your hair in the morning...

I have very long straight hard to curl Asian/Latin hair. I've tried everything from drugstore curling devices to as seen on tv, to high end hair curling things, and nothing works this easily. I don't know what magic is in this chi arc, but wow. It actually curls my hair with amazing long lasting curls. I use it at around 360°, I hold my hair wrapped around it until it beeps, clamp and unclamp the clip until the ends are quickly curled, I release the clip pulling the iron straight down and out of hair, and I'm finished in 15-20 mins. And that's fast for the amount of hair I have. I can get away with 3 whole days of curled hair in humid weather with this curling iron(days 3 hair is usually in a pony) Amazing. I thought the T3 whirl trio was the biz, nope this beats it. The most important thing about this curling iron is that it's really easy to use and fast, which has empowered me to curl my hair almost every time. I wish I had discovered this thing sooner. I thought the motorized wrap feature would be just another gimmick, but it really works and saves effort.

Waves last for 2 days which is awesome

I wanted to like this. It takes way too much time to get it right - it'll pull your hair, and it doesn't style 1", only 1/2" so if you have thick hair like me it'll take forever. I'm honestly just using it as a wand (I could've purchased a wand for a lot cheaper and saved some money) however since this is Chi it's obviously well built and I'll keep it

Heats up in like 30 seconds and curls my hair so quick! I love the alarm that lets you know how long to hold your hair in the curler

This curling iron works amazingly. Curled hair on Thursday and had great spirals. Still have pretty waves on Saturday.

I like it. I just wish I could've found it in the 3/4 inch barrel. The curls are too loose and don't stay long. But that might just be me.

This is the best curling iron I have ever owned! I received compliments on my hair the first time I tried it. It takes some practice at first but once you get the hang of it, it's so easy to use.

I have tried using a curler a few times. I bought one that you needed a glove for, and I tried and tried, bit it was just too hard to keep the hair around the curling iron and hold it with a glove especially on the opposite side. So I bought this one. It is easier to use with the automatic curling aspect. Much easier. I was actually able to curl most of my hair. I ran into a few issues though. What do you do with ends? If you don't have ends with the same length, it is harder to curl and takes longer. Some ends slip out. If you keep the end outside of the iron, it is not curled. The auto curl thing, on each side I ran into the same challenge with using a different hand or confusion regarding curl in the front or back. Since I am right handed, one side was easier than the other. The not-easy side, I ended up burning my skin. The rotating thing kept going and burned a bit of my skin and two months later I am still treating the scar. It was awful. I know it is just a matter of learning, but it should not be so hard to the point of burning me! The curls didn't stay till the next day. When I woke up they were gone and replaced with frizzy hair, so I sent it back. If i put in so much trouble and it doesn't even stay the next day, it is just not worth it. But I have thick, dense, curly hair slightly below my shoulders. I imagine it would be different for someone with think hair. My natural curls hold much better. I really wish I could use this better though, I have seen gorgeous curls on women who do it, but this was just not for my hair type.

I love how fast it takes to heat up. The twirling feature is the best part about the curling iron. I have had many complements on my hair since I have started using it. It was a great purchase.

Occasional use. Have naturally curly hair. Makes curling your hair a simple task for those who have a hard time using a regular curler.
Maddie from Houston
My daughter has beautiful long, thick, wavy hair that never holds a curl. It normally takes us about an hour and a half to even try to get it to curl and the curl never holds. This iron is amazing and the curls held all day!!
Bri from Springfield, IL
I returned this after one use. It made long lasting curls, but I bought it because of recent carpal tunnel surgery & hand weakness, & it was too heavy, bulky & hurt my hand & wrist. Ease of use probably would have improved if I had kept it, but it's less damaging on my hand to continue using my smaller, lighter iron that is fairly quick for me.

Love this curler. If you are scared of curling, then this curler won't scare. It is very easy to operate. First time I did with this and I am happy with it. YouTube video is available for how to operate. I checked that and used it. Worth paying the price
