Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen:

i have spent so much money on "non-oily" or "oil free"sunscreens that NEVER work. I have super oily skin always have and adding think oily sunscreen never made it better. I would be sweating through it via upper lip, eyebrows, etc. This product is thick, it's not the best smelling either, and after applying it it feels like the others oily, BUT IT DOES DRY. I put it on 1st after showering, sit and blow dry my hair and 15 min later it is dry and I'm not outside with it dripping off my face. I logged ongo ulta to order more and wanted to leave a review, because i am a girl that reads reviews. Also, it gets cloudy in the hairline, but that rubs out easily. Absolutely worth the price to be protected from the sun.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen:

I usually use it after i apply a moisturizer. I however don't recommend it to dry skin because i have dry skin during the winter and saw that there were dry spots on my face. It left a little of a white cast but as the day went by, it blended with the skin leaving it looking healthy. It is very lightweight so i didnt feel anything on my face which was great. There is a scent but its not bothersome. I didnt break out from it and i have oily skin during the summer and dry during the winter.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen:

I have sensitive, oily skin that breaks out very easily, so I have had a hard time with sunscreens. I used EltaMD's UV Clear for a while and really liked the product, but the fact that it is only (reliably) available through a derm. office made it inconvenient to repurchase. I decided to try this La Roche Posay sunscreen since it's widely available and have been pretty happy with it, especially the fact that it does not cause my skin to break out. The formula is a bit thicker than the EltaMD sunscreen I was using previously, so takes a few extra seconds to apply evenly, but it does not run. (I also tried their Mineral Ultra Light, but while the formula is lighter, I found it left my face looking greasy.) I wear makeup over the sunscreen and it does not exacerbate my normal afternoon "oiliness".

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen:

I bought this and used it once in a while, and it worked great. I then went to a vacation in SC and used it every day, sometimes 2x a day. Within 3 days my entire cheeks were dried out and had rashes on the parts where it was applied the most, on the apple of my cheeks. I also broke out from it, but that's just because I'm sensitive to fatty alcohols. The product did work mostly- I had a light burn after the first day because I think I sweated the product off. Finally, if you let the product set, it pills when you try to rub it in more.

I am thrilled with this product. I used to buy a more expensive sunscreen which I forgot to pack while on vacation. I tried this on the recommendation of a salesperson when visiting Las Vegas in August. It's now my only facial sunscreen. It goes on evenly and is not greasy, goes great over moisturizer and under foundation. I have and will recommend this product.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen:

Note: I always try to apply the recommended 1/4 tsp of sunscreen on my face so if you apply less, results may vary. I have a light-medium complexion and 1/4 tsp of this product leaves a VERY noticeable (in person, not just in flash photos) white cast on me, which I imagine would only look worse on deeper skin tones. I also found that the texture of the product got chalkier, greasier, and more difficult to rub in as I got to the lower half of the tube, even if I shook it before use. But I wore this throughout a week's vacation in Maui and didn't burn so at least it's effective!

Hi Jane! The Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen is formulated for oily skin as it absorbs pore-clogging oil, even in heat and humidity and provides a dry touch texture. Apply the Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure (as the last step in your skin care regimen) and allow a minute or 2 to absorb. If you do not have oily skin, you may want to look at our other sunscreens.

                  A:

Thank you for your interest in La Roche-Posay, a brand of The L'Oréal Group.

Our consumers' health and safety have always been an absolute priority for L'Oréal. As is the support of animal welfare.

L'Oréal has developed a very rigorous safety evaluation procedure of its products, backed by research. Well before the question of animal testing was raised by civil society or within a regulatory framework, L'Oréal has been committed to new methods of assessing safety that don't involve animals. A true pioneer, L'Oréal has been reconstructing human skin models in laboratories to elaborate in vitro safety tests since 1979, as an alternative to animals. In 1989, L'Oréal completely ceased testing its products on animals, thus 14 years before the regulation required so. Today, L'Oréal no longer tests its ingredients on animals and no longer tolerates any exception to this rule.

Certain health authorities may nevertheless decide to conduct animal tests themselves for certain cosmetic products, as it is still the case in China. L'Oréal has been the most active company working alongside the Chinese authorities and scientists for over 10 years to have alternative testing methods recognized, and permit the cosmetic regulation to evolve towards a total and definite elimination of animal testing. Thanks to this, since 2014, certain products manufactured and sold in China like shampoo, body wash or make-up are no longer tested on animals.
