Most Helpful Positive Review MUST HAVE
If you ask me, this product has earned five stars across the board. For a little information about my skin... (1) I have a very fair complexion with yellow undertones, which makes finding foundation that isn't too pink VERY hard, (2) I live in a climate with all four seasons, so I go from having super oily skin in the summer to cracking skin in the winter, (3) I have sensitive skin that breaks out from almost anything and I get a few hormonal blemishes once in a while, and (4) generally i have an oily t zone but also dry patches on my cheeks and around my mouth.
LET ME JUST TELL YOU that this foundation looks great on both my oily and dry zones, whether it's dry/cold or hot/balmy outside. This foundation doesn't slide off my oily zones or cake up too much around my dry patches. The finish of this product is matte- but not so much that skin looks lifeless. I wear this foundation from 8 AM to 10 PM with little change in it's flawless finish. This product is great.
As for my routine, I wash my face with a mild cleanser (cream or noncomedogenic oil) and then apply an oil-free face lotion all over and gently rub CeraVe into any dry spots. I let that soak in for a few minutes before I lock the moisture in with soothing aloe vera gel. I then apply a matte-ifying face primer to my oily zone. After that, I use a medium size stippling brush to gently and evenly apply a pea sized amount of the product all over my face. If I have any blemishes, I actually just build a little bit of this foundation over them. I then lightly apply translucent face power everywhere, putting on a little extra to my oily spots. I love how this foundation enhances- not hides- the 95% of my skin that is perfect while being able to hide any blemishes at my discretion/application.
All in all, this product can totally be sheer/light coverage or full, depending on how you decide to use it. I could really see this making a great bb cream by mixing it with a little bit of primer and/or lotion. I could also see this being a great, full coverage foundation for those with lots of acne and/or scarring. It's all on how you build it! An additional benefit is SPF, though not high enough for serious protection (sunscreen, after all, is the best preventative anti-aging product!).
Some downfalls to this product... it's PRICY! I'd really recommend learning how to properly apply a clay/mousse consistency liquid foundation for your own skin (lots of experimenting!) before using this product. Another downfall is that I could see this looking cakey if applied too heavily, with the wrong base, or with the wrong applicator.
Most Helpful Critical Review WANTED to love, but didn't...
I really wanted to love this foundation after reading all the great reviews, but, after trying it for myself I will be returning it. It truly is a full coverage foundation and looks absolutely beautiful on my skin for the first hour. After an hour it starts to look worse and worse. My skin is oily and when my oils come out and mix with the foundation it just becomes this oily mess all over my face and wipes off if I barely touch my face. DEFINATELY not a long wear foundation like it claims--I had to reapply three other times during my work day! I also had a dried up pimple on my chin which the makeup made look very crusty. I think this foundation would be great for someone with normal skin--but if you have oily, very oily, or very dry skin I think you will be very dissapointed.

The coverage is good and doesn't clog my pores. it's not cakey. it lasts all day. better than the foundation I used to buy at the department store. I bought 2 so I won't run out.

Love this stuff.

I have psoriasis so I'm always looking for a good full coverage foundation and most the time I can't find anything to completely cover up the psoriasis spots on my face and neck. This one did. It's amazing. The only thing I've found that comes close to this level of FC is the Juvia's place foundation.
I will purchase this product again.

Best foundation I have tried
Jen from Racine, WI
This is a thick foundation with a mousse-like consistency. It wears well and covers great. I use shade 16N which works quite well with my fair skin with pink undertones. I had been using Teint Idole and this coverage and finish is far superior imho. I apply with a Real Techniques foundation brush using a stippling pattern and a little goes a long way. I like to set my under eye with Mercier eye brightening powder and a translucent powder in my t-zone. Yeah, there is some transfer if I am wearing a mask but it honestly is to be expected. I can blot during the day if I need to but it stays pretty strong for 12-14 hours. I think my skin is better when I wear it. I have mature combination skin that runs dry in certain areas.

This is my favorite foundation and the only one I use. Shade is a perfect match to skin.

I absolutely love this foundation! The color is perfect...the coverage is perfect.
I am 51 and just starting to get a few lines so I'm always wary of full coverage foundations, as they tend to settle in those lines. This product gives good, medium/full, coverage that lasts all day, without settling into fine lines! Oh.. and speaking of lasting... the tube lasts a really long time so you definitely get your money's worth!! I occasionally buy other foundations ... just to see if I'm missing anything... I always return to this beauty!
Not what I expected

This foundation is a like a mouse type of consistency. It was definitely not full coverage and it was not buildable and it did not blend in good. Would not purchase.

This foundation is so hard to blend. It is way too thick. Do not reccomend it.
NOT a full-coverage foundation.

After trying multiple high-end foundations, some of which I liked...some I didn't, I saw this on sale and thought I'd try it. I wish I hadn't . Even though this is a very thick foundation...it is NOT full-coverage at all. It's actually pretty sheer...and it oxidized on my skin right away. It also looked orange around my eyebrows. Within a few hours it was so patchy I had large areas it had just slipped off of....ugh. Not a fan at all of this foundation. Never again.

Ladies with acne, this is NOT full coverage. Wish I would have stuck with my Estée Lauder.
Not full coverage.

I have oily skin and apparently this was the foundation best for it. This foundation is not full coverage no matter how much you use. It also doesn't blend very well it just looks weird and feels like the foundation is gonna slide off your face. It's not a good feeling. It makes me look like I didn't blend my foundation right and it makes you look weird.
My favorite foundation

Long lasting 12 hour plus foundation. I don't have to use a primer. Matches my skin tone well and is full coverage without looking too thick.
Not full coverage or 12 hour stay
Dloaspiringmua from Nampa, ID
I have combination skin, when I squeezed it out of the tube it looked clumpy first off so that already have me a red flag, I primed with Nars Pore and Shine Control which by far has been my go to primer as I cannot find any better, when I went to apply surprisingly it blended out well how we did not provide full coverage at all, I even tried applying it with a brush instead of beauty blender but got the same coverage. I set my makeup as usual and after 4 hours the foundation on my nose was gone, I primer correctly and set correctly not sure why it did not stay but it looked horrible and my face turns oily after a few hours as well, going back to Estée Lauder Stay In Place.
Gave a second chance

I tried this foundation years ago and stopped using it but couldn't remember why, now I know. When applied it sits on the skin rather than blending in and just looks odd in general and as the day goes on it all starts bunching up and looks terrible. Would not repurchase.
I will by this product again.

My sister recommended this product to me because it best matches our Mexican American skin tone. She was right and I love it!
No, I wouldn't buy it again.

I usually get the regular Tarte, but wanted something that wouldn't come off on my face mask. The salesperson recommended the Amazonian Clay. I don't like the color or texture.
LOVE THE COVERAGE!

Amazing my favorite!
Erd5 from Boardman
I have tried literally so many foundations over the years you name it I've probably tried it and honestly I love this more than my KVD, Estée Lauder, too faced, fenty and urban decay foundation. I've always liked matte foundations for my oily skin and this just tops it off. I love the mousse consistency and so easy to blend and perfect shade along with it's so light feeling! Not to mention it actually lasts! I'm in love
Bri from Louisiana
I've always hated foundation, but I really need one to cover up a rash I had, and this worked wonders! Love, love love!
Great coverage, not oily!
Txmomma from Texarkana, Tx
I love that this is not oily but a matte finish and lasts all day. It's a great full coverage to even out your skin tone whether you have sun spots or rosacea.
