Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser:

I am a 21 year old female who suffers from hormonal acne. I have sensitive skin and find most acne face washes drying and irritating. This cleanser is one of the only over-the-counter acne face washes on the market that is fragrance-free, non-drying and non-foaming. I have seen a significant improvement in my hormonal acne since using this product! Make sure to apply it to dry skin & remove all makeup first. Highly recommend!!

Amazing!!!

By Aly

Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser:

I tried nearly everything for my face to clear acne and dark spots, & everything I've tried left my face burning with irritation. I have sensitive skin and a girl at ulta really helped me out as I was looking at different products and she pointed me in the direction of this! I plan on going back to thank her cause my skin is clearing up and my dark spots are less noticeable! I feel more confident than ever not wearing makeup! I love this and plan on using it again and other products from this company.

blackheads almost gone!!

By female 26

from Michigan

Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser:

I am 26 years old with proven hormonal imbalances. I have been struggling with acne my entire life (since I was in elementary school!!). For about a year I was struggling with serious cystic acne on my cheeks, chin, and jawline and after dermatologist prescriptions, those cystic bumps have gone away; HOWEVER, the one thing that no acne medication has EVER been able to do is clear up the deep under the skin blackheads that never come to a head...I always get them on my cheeks and jawline. I would go to the dermatologist, esthetician etc regularly and exfoliate 2x a week w the Exuviance performance peels (another amazing product) but the blackheads were still far too deep. Long story short...this cleanser, in just TWO DAYS, has diminished almost all of my blackheads! I had about 15 blackheads that wouldn't come to the surface and they have all now gotten close enough to the surface that I can simply just lightly scratch them out of my pores!!

I AM SO EXCITED I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING FOR MY SERIOUS BLACKHEAD PROBLEM!!!

Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser:

I dislike this product for reasons other reviewers have stated - takes like 7 pumps to get enough product, feel like I could find a similar or better product for a cheaper price. Another user stated that the head of the company told her to put a single pump on and let it sit for a minute, so why isn't that what the instructions on the packaging tell you to do??? I've only seen a slight reduction in my acne; I'm still getting small white heads every few days. And, yes, you have to remove your makeup before you use this, but that doesn't bother me - I just use micellar water or a cleansing wipe.

    Best cleanser

    By Val

    from Chicago

Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser:

Hands down the best cleanser, I will use this for the rest of my life no matter what the packaging is. I have not had ANY cystic acne or any ugly pimples since using this product, even with all of the makeup I wear.

The packaging comes in a glass white bottle to aid in preserving the potency and quality of the product; sunlight and oxygen can't reach through as easily to eat away at the important ingredients like they do in plastic/clear glass/tubed containers. This packaging is doing your skin a favor even though it might appear as tedious, the brand did it for a reason. Love dermadoctor for saving my skin

    LOVE PRODUCT, HATE PACKAGING

    By Kat

    from Charlotte, NC

Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser:

I've used this product for the past year and it helped clear up my hormonal acne. I am completely in love with the product and what it does for my skin - even though the smell reminds me of Elmer's glue. However, I have absolutely hated the packaging since it changed from the tube to the glass bottle. Not only do I feel like I'm getting less product for my money but the pump is a complete joke. I have to pump at least 6-7 times to get any significant product out. Considering not purchasing again just because I can't stand the packaging.

      • Q:

Will this product cause me to break out or have unusual texture at the beginning of usage?
Asked on 4/12/2018 by Hannie from St. Louis, Mo

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

This cleanser should, if anything, decrease texture, but if you are sensitive to AHAs/BHAs (exfoliating acids), you might experience an initial break-out before skin clearing.

Answered on 4/13/2018 by Brand Expert from DERMAdoctor
      • Q:

I have been using this after the Kakadu C Brightening Daily Cleanser for several days and it seems to burn on certain spots on my face. Is this a typical reaction?
Asked on 3/24/2018 by Emily from Ohio

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

Both of these cleansers contain AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), so we do not recommend using them one right after the other because you could over exfoliate your skin. If you want to use both, we suggest using Ain't Misbehavin' Cleanser in the morning and Kakadu C cleanser in the evening to remove your makeup.

Answered on 3/26/2018 by Brand Expert from DERMAdoctor
      • Q:

It says to use on dry skin, but can I use it on wet skin?
Asked on 1/29/2018 by lisetheq85 from Stewartsville nj

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

You can apply the product to wet skin, but water neutralizes the AHAs and BHAs in the cleanser (the acids that are working to exfoliate/deliver the results), so you may not experience results as quickly. Either way, you still want to rinse the product off well after massaging it into the skin.

      • Q:

Has Ulta updated to the new tube packaging? I would love to order from ulta instead of direct from Dermadoctor, but I absolutely hate the glass bottle.
Asked on 1/7/2018 by Rachel from Dallas, TX

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

The glass bottle is still phasing out at Ulta. The new tube packaging will begin to appear in stores by this March.

      • Q:

I have bad acne on my cheeks and forehead, I have tried mario badescu and it worked for a little bit but it is making my skin really red and inflammed, would this be a good product?
Asked on 6/11/2017 by sunny from Atlanta GA

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

This cleanser is perfect for oily and acne prone skin and contains glycolic acid and salicylic acid to help keep skin exfoliated and prevent breakouts. If your skin is irritated or sensitive at the moment, the Kakadu C cleanser is also great for acneic skin but is a gentler formulation.

        • Brand Expert

          A:

The Ain't Misbehavin' cleanser is soap-free and contains clarifying ingredients like witch hazel and glycolic acid that will remove sunscreen and cleanse skin.

      • Q:

I have some acne randomly here and there but i wouldn't say severe. Would this be to harsh to use as a daily cleanser? And what dermadoctor product do you recommend to get rid of scarring?
Asked on 2/26/2017 by Court from KS - Kansas

        1 answer

        • Brand Expert

          A:

This cleanser is formulated to be soap free and non-drying and helps keep oiliness in check without stripping the skin. If oily skin isn't your main concern, and you are looking for a brightening effect, you could try the Kakadu C cleanser which resurfaces gently while brightening hyperpigmentation spots with Vitamin C.

        • Staff Expert

          A:

Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated AHA/BHA Acne Cleanser would be the cleanser we'd suggest for those with blemish-prone, oily skin. Unlike some traditional acne facial washes, this one contains hydrating and soothing ingredients to help counteract dryness, so it's a great option for him based on your description of his skin type, condition, and concerns.

      • Q:

I'm currently trying to find a product that will help clear up these red/brown marks on my face left from past blemishes & I was wondering what product I should buy to clear up the marks & if this is a product that would help clear them up? I don't break out as much anymore just a few bumps on my forehead & chin but for the most part the rest of my skin is smooth, it's just the marks left behind from past breakouts.
Asked on 3/25/2016 by Astry from Beaufort,SC

        1 answer

        • Staff Expert

          A:

The Ain't Misbehavin' line is to prevent acne. The Kakadu C line is best to clear hyperpigmentation.

I have dry skin and hormonal acne, will this product dry out my skin too much even if I use heavy weight moisturizers?
