Help stop mischief-making skin from acting out. Ain't Misbehavin' tames blemishes at their source; helping treat, clear and prevent future acne outbreaks. A DERMAdoctor cult classic, this lightweight, gentle yet effective, moisturizing base helps mattify, clarify and leave skin feeling fresh and hydrated.

Ideal for most skin types. Continued use provides positive reinforcement - keeping skin free of unsightly blemishes. Dermatologist tested & approved, allergy tested, hypoallergenic, non irritating, non drying, non comedogenic, fragrance free, dye free, paraben free, gluten free, no animal testing.

Clean the skin thoroughly before applying this product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer once or twice daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to twice daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. May be followed with cosmetics, moisturizers or sunscreen.

For external use only. When using this product skin irritation and dryness is more likely to occur if you use another topical acne medication at the same time. If irritation occurs, only use one topical acne medication at a time. Stop use and ask a doctor if skin irritation occurs or gets worse. Do not get into eyes. Keep out of reach of children. People who are allergic to salicylates (found in aspirin) should not use products containing willow bark or salicylic acid. Pregnant or nursing women should talk to their doctor before using any products containing salicylic acid.

Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a broad spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

Comments about Dermadoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated Acne Control Serum:

I bought this because it was recommended to me by an Ulta skincare specialist. It didn't work at all. I had a cyst that was growing on my jawline along with some other regular acne. I used it as a spot treatment on my cyst and other acne. It didn't work at all. It made the cyst worse actually by making it a lot bigger and it didn't even help the other regular pimples. The specialist told me it was ideal for cystic acne and nothing has worked better for her as a spot treatment. Well, definitely didn't work for me but it was worth a shot. I normally use 5% BP and that has been more effective than this. I expected this to make a noticeable difference because it's so expensive, but it did nothing. I ended up returning it. This also smells TERRIBLY! It reminds me of motor oil or something similar.

Okay, for the amount of money you pay for this - it smells terrible and works about the same as cheaper products. Pills up under certain makeups. Could buy a similar salicylic acid gel for much cheaper. Just did not really like. Still having whiteheads every few days.

I have been using this acne serum + the acne cleanser from derma doctor for two years. This is the only thing that has helped my acne! It can dry out your skin, especially around your nose, but lately I've been using a spray toner and Cetaphil lotion which has been making it better. Best thing to do is not directly apply it, but SLAP it on your face. It sounds weird...but I've been doing that method for the past two months and it has greatly improved the effectiveness of the cleanser.

Was suffering from hormonal & cystic acne on my chin since hitting my 40s. Tried so many products, even a prescription product --- nothing worked. Was shopping with my daughter and an associate recommended this product as well as the wash and my daughter had tremendous results. I tried the serum only and it has been Amazing! With using as needed, I am nearly breakout free with the exception of once and a great while. I keep this in my product drawer at all times now.

I was advised to try this product to minimize my pores. it was apparent that it is fast acting now and effective. I had a terrible break out because of my eyebrows being threaded, this helped a lot but I excessively used it and experienced very dry & peeling skin. I won't use it more than 3 minimal applications a day.

                        A:

The products in the Ain't Misbehavin' line are formulated to be complementary, so using the Ain't Misbehavin' Serum after the cleanser should not cause irritation, unless you tend to be super sensitive. I recommend using the cleanser 2X daily (am & pm) and the serum only at night. Then if your skin can handle it, add the serum in 2X a day.

Can you use this with another serum and moisturizer? I have sensitive/combo skin, more dry right now with the winter months though. But I still get some adult hormonal acne around my jawline/chin (from my cheekbones to jawline) I was in Accutane 3yrs ago for cystic acne & still use my dermatologist prescribed topical gel, Ziana. However it's to strong for my sensitive skin in the winter and I want something to help my skin when I'm breaking out. Suggestions appreciated!
