Elchim's 8th Sense Professional Hair Dryer is a digital dryer with 36 heat & speed settings for all types of hair with a built in filter silencer. Handmade in Italy. Great for: indeed all hair types-babies, man's short hair, damaged hair, thick course hair, etc. The black switch regulates the drying program (1st delicate hair / 2nd thick course hair) while the two switches above control heat & speed together.

Key Features:
  • 2000 Watts of regulated power from 300 watts to 2000 watts
  • Designed for all 8 types of known hair, from delicate infant's hair to thick Southern European course hair and everything in between
  • Designed to be used as a styling tool and a dryer
  • Electronic "Accelerator / Decelerator" with advanced technology: Almost infinite speed and temperature settings (36 heat & speed settings)
  • A patented lateral air intake and technologically advanced internal fan system that reduces the accumulation of dust and prevents hair from entering into the dryer. This increases the life of the dryer
  • The most powerful dryer in its category
  • Ionic Technology: Dries the hair in half the time while adding shine and eliminating the "frizzies"
  • Ceramic Technology: Produces far-infrared heat that "heats from the inside out". It dries the hair without "drying it out" and ads shine while reducing the "frizzies"
  • Ergonomic handle that perfectly balances the weight to reduce carpal tunnel in the wrist and reducing weight
  • Lateral side switches and cool shot for ease of handling
  • Rubberized side bumps to eliminate dryer slipping off smooth surfaces
  • Protection system from (EMF) electromagnetic field
  • Cool settings for ease of locking in the style
  • Lifetime manufacturer's warranty

Comments about Elchim 8th Sense Professional Hair Dryer:

I owned a CHI professional dryer for over 10 years and it finally gave out on me. When getting a new dryer, I knew I needed something as good, if not better than what I had. I have tried a couple of blow dryers and this one has been awesome! I initially tried the GHD Air and that left my hair feeling very soft, but a little frizzy, maybe the word is not freezy, but not as healthy looking. I returned that one only because the attachments were near impossible to take off! And I don't have time for that. So, I decided to give Elchim a try. The different speeds is what piqued my curiosity. I have two young daughters and I sometimes blow dry their hair. My 9 yr old would not let me near her with my old CHI because I would burn her. I figured, I would try this and see if it worked any better. It worked beautifully! It is gentle enough for her hair, yet can heat up enough for my blow outs! Also, I did find myself trying different temperatures and speeds. I found that this blow dryer dried my hair quickly, but also left it very soft and shiny. I used the same product and brush as I did when trying the GHD to make a fair comparison. I read the one negative review for this dryer and am not sure if she received a defective dryer because my dryer heats up beautifully w/out burning my hair. I noticed that this dryer does not burn my hair like my old CHI did. My husband would complain that the restroom smelled of burned hair! The elchim gets hot, but somehow does not make me break a sweat or cause that burnt hair smell. It is fairly lightweight, the cord is long and sturdy. I also like that it has this rubber piece on the side that is perfect when you lay it down on your counter. It keeps it from moving & falling off. This dryer makes my wavy frizzy hair soft, shiny, & healthy looking in no time ( normally 45 min blow dry is now only 15 mins). My guess is the infrared technology is what makes this dryer slightly better for my hair than the GHD Air.

Like the way I can style every type of hair using different heat & speed settings. 36 heat and speeds are a lot but I'm quite consciouss I can't use the same heat or flow on fragile or thick course hair. This is what I was looking for a long time!

So very disappointed . As a professional stylist for over 10 years this is one of the worst dryers they have came our with. Not powerful enough nor does it deliver enough heat.

Comments about Elchim 8th Sense Professional Hair Dryer:

I love love love this hair dryer! I have fine, wavy hair that frizzes easily in humid weather, so I was willing to pay a bit more for a hair dryer that would dry my hair quickly without damaging it. I've had this for two weeks, and I'm excited with the results. It takes less time to blow dry my hair than with the $100 hair dryer that I replaced, my hair feels softer, and the style holds better on the second day than before (I plan to try going a third day without washing). Best though is that my hair stayed much tamer on a humid, rainy day than with the old hair dryer. The number of settings sounds ridiculous, but I've already used several different ones depending on how long my hair air dried before I started to style it. So far, this definitely seems worth the investment.
