Most Helpful Positive Review WOW! Amazing! This brand compares to if not exceeds the Celeb Luxury Viral line. I used that for about a year. But the price went up and down so much and then it just went up and up that I didn't want to buy it anymore. My purple baylage color was really starting to fade and turning into that gross fuchsia color. I applied the Punky the same way I did the previous color depositing shampoo (8-10 sections, shower cap, 10 minutes hair dryer and let it sit for 30-60 minutes) and I was shocked, amazed and so, so happy with the color it turned out after just one use. I can't wait to see how intense the color gets after multiple uses. As far as the smell, it doesn't smell great in the bottle but to me the smell was low to almost non-existent once applied. Would probably stain if you don't clean the surface it comes in contact with right away, including your skin. I used gloves but mostly to protect my acrylic nails from being stained. I think it did such a good job depositing the color that the rinse really wasn't that colorful and I had maybe one tiny bleed mark on my towel after I dried my hair with it. Last but not least I was amazed with how soft and tangle free my hair was. With the Celeb luxury you have to combine the shampoo and conditioner or the shampoo doesn't nourish your hair. That combination is $50-60+ and now I can get get it in one bottle for a quarter of the cost. Will recommend to anyone looking for a funky color on bleached hair or to maintain your funky color! Thanks Punky for bringing an affordable color depositing shampoo to the unnatural color line!
Most Helpful Critical Review SUPER BRIGHT - magenta, not purple I bought the purpledacious shampoo thinking I could dilute it a little bit and put it in my hair for a minute and come out of the shower with some light purple tint to my hair. No. I'm glad I decided to look in the mirror after I put it in my hair because it's BRIGHT MAGENTA. It's more pink than purple. I personally hate magenta, so I tried to rinse it out as best I could, washed it again, but it's still bright magenta. If that's what you want, then it's a great product. But personally, I'm going to wait a couple more days to see if it fades out and then bleach my hair (was planning on doing my roots anyway). I do have bleached hair so that probably made it absorb more of the color, so it might be more subtle if you've never dyed your hair. I would definitely dilute a bit of it and do a test strand before using this shampoo because I'm embarrassed to go outside now.

I am definitely impressed with this Punky Pink color, after trying different pink color Shampoo/Conditioners, this by far works with one try really well. Tho I started with Light Pink hair which is I wanted to keep fresh. But using this product gave me a more Vibrant Hot Pink which I LOVE! I dampened my hair and applied it as if I was dying it. I let it sit in my hair for almost 45 mins. "Because the longer you leave it in the more vibrant it gets", then washed it out. I didn't even need a second conditioner, this made my hair really soft. I will definitely keep using it . This color definitely POPS, if that's what you want :) :). I only need to wash my hair once a week which I'm lucky for, cause I know some people have to wash more often.

Hate that it turns your hands pink but after you wash your hands a lot it goes away.
Needs real instructions! 3

I know I probably should've looked into this more in advance but the directions on the bottle really aren't clear!
It's called a shampoo so I used it like a shampoo. Now my entire bathroom is stained pink.
"Color depositing shampoo"? More like dye with a bit of shampoo and conditioner mixed in.
Also, it doesn't say whether to use on wet or dry hair - I used it in the shower and won't do that again.
I don't get why anyone would buy this rather than just a hair dye that would last longer and a colour safe shampoo....
I have medium brown hair with red/gold natural highlights. After one "wash" only leaving it on for 2 mins I've got a definite red tone to it... and to my forehead, neck, shoulders.....
3 stars because it did dye my hair pretty quickly but it needs proper instructions and is no easier to use than a box dye.
In love. 5

If I just want to refresh my color and I'm in a hurry 5 minutes in the shower
Does the job.
If I have time I'll let it sit in my hair for 20 minutes and shampoo and condition after.
Fantastic 5

I bought this to see what it would do on my naturally light golden brown hair. Omgosh, after just one use it covered my white hairs 75%, and it makes it shiny and soft and smells like delicious sweet bananas!! I'm going to use this and keep using it until I get my highlights done at the salon - no more guessing games trying to find a hair color that matches my natural and dealing with the mess trying to cover my white hairs! Will purchase again!
It's fine 3

Smells like straight hubba bubba bubble gum. The purple is definitely more violet than plum color. Your shower will be stained and your hands will be stained for the reminder of the shower... Just apply in the beginng so it'll wash off your hands while you finish. If you want to take the time And spend the money you could mix them Bec the colors are very rogbv.
Love the Results! 5

I had medium brown hair that has been going gray for years. I had been coloring it and then decided to let it start growing out. In the meantime I had been doing highlights to blend in the gray. Decided I wanted to see how it would look completely gray so I used the Punky Diamondista. I had read some reviews that it turned out blue or green for some people, so I did two test strands. The first I applied to damp hair and left on for 15 minutes. Color was not intense enough for me. Second I left on for 25 minutes. That looked a little dark. I did all my hair finally and left on for 20 minutes. The result was great! Some of the highlighted areas of my hair look a slightly different color but I plan to shampoo with this for a shorter amount of time next time and am hoping those will gradually blend in more. The product is thick so it is easy to work in without a lot of dripping. I had no problems with staining as some other people have noted. I did wear gloves to apply. Some spots that got on my white sink were easy to remove. Overall I am very happy with how this worked!
Absolutely love! 5

I'm not one for leaving reviews but jeesh this worked wonders on my hair! I bought the red Bc my hair had dramatically faded from its pretty red and being a single mom it's hard to get away to do my hair.
I'm serious when I say the color is almost exactly what it was when I got it professionally done! Plus it feels amazing and smells like bubblegum!
Intense color 4
My2citygirls from Texas
The color is very intense and lasted more than a week. It will stain your hands but will easily wash out with soap. As it fades, it's very evenly distributed. Not sure about all of the colors but red smells like bubblegum.
Used Diamondista 4
Lin from Florida
I think this is a pretty decent, easy product to use. I used it in the shower so there was no mess to clean up. It took a few uses to get it more even and cover all my blonde, but it doesn't seem to touch my medium/dark brown sections at all that I can tell. I do feel like rather than moisturizing my hair, it dries it out so I always use a regular conditioner or else leave-in conditioner after I use it. I haven't noticed color bleeding on anything when my hair is wet either, so I'm not sure how quickly this washes out/fades. I'd be open to trying the other colors when the grey is gone.
I totally love it! 5
bbsitter from Arizona
I bought the red shampoo. I would take one pump of this product and mix it in with my regular conditioner and every few days apply it to my hair. I got red highlights in but I wanted it to be more vivid so I use this and it is wonderful. My hair is pretty dark but this product shows up well without bleach! Smells nice & despite the coloring factor, is a nice shampoo/conditioner!
Love it but wow it gets EVERYWHERE 4
Green Haired Girl from Oregon
I started with bleached blonde hair and had my hair professionally dyed green. I loved so much how it turned out, so when it started to fade a couple weeks later, I used the Punky Color Greengarious 3-in-1 so I keep my color vibrant. It looks AMAZING & is even more vibrant than when I first got it professionally done. The only issue I have is that it continues to get EVERYWHERE. I condition my hair every day with other product, and I've done so about 7 times since using the Punky Color, and every time the color is stilll pouring out of my head & staining my tub. I rent, and have bleached my tub 4 times and the stains have only faded, but far from gone. I recommend doing this in a metal sink to prevent this issue. The other crazy thing is every time one of my hairs falls into the sink, the sink stains. Just one single hair. One fell on the toilet seat in passing and it's been stained for over a week and bleach isn't helping. When I workout, the color drips down my face, IT IS BAD!! I seriously feel like I have a pain bucket coming out of my scalp....
Great color in less time than it says 4
Foxe from Milwaukee, WI
I have very fine hair that is highlighted to an ashy blond and this shampoo turned it purple after leaving it on for maybe 3-4 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised.
Turned my hair the wrong color 2
YouNeedBetterLabeling from IN
I started out with bleached hair that was slightly more yellow than white toned. Nowhere did I see that this formula was a blue toned product with NO purple to cancel out yellow. As basically all other silvers or grey dye are purple based for that very reason I thought nothing of it. Well guess what... it's blue. My hair is now blue. Not even remotely silver.
A MESS WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!! 2
Jill from Missouri
I bought this product with intentions of maintaining the color that I recently got. I have my natural brunette going into a balayage of emerald green, and just wanted to maintain the color until it is time for me to move onto the next color.
THIS PRODUCT STAINS EVERYTHING. It stained my scalp and neck green, stained my hands so dark green that they almost look pitch black, stained my shower and tub so badly that I am on round 3 of stain remover and bleach spray and there is still green everywhere. I have no doubt that this product will help to keep your hair emerald green, but the costs are not worth the payout. I'll be sleeping with towels on my pillows for the next week because I'm afraid the color will rub off onto my pillowcases.
I cannot recommend this product. I will be trying to find something else to maintain the green that won't cause so many issues. This stains worse than permanent dyes that I have used.
If your hair is in transition from brown to grey 5
Plain Jane from McAllen, Texas
I'm not very creative with make up or colors and have been transitioning from blonde/brown to grey. My grey is white and I felt old. The Punky Diamondista (left it on for 20 minutes on my initial shampoo and 10 when I "retouch") gave my hair a beautiful grey hue/tint. I get so many compliments on it from my coworkers. If you're trying to transition....this will also help blend any old blonde/browns you might have.
Amazing shampoo!! 5
Leelee from Cherokee village Arkansas
Love, love, love this product. I cannot normally do shampoo and conditioner in one due to course hair. Not only is the color vibrant, and amazing my hair felt silky smooth. I'm going to be buying multiple bottled
I have been using this product for 2 years 5
Mel from North Carolina
Once or Twice a year I use Loreal blue bleach powder with volume 20 to remove the color from my hair. After a few conditioning treatments I then add in colors. I have used Purplicious, Blue, Teal, Lavender and Green.
Least favorite is the green. I have layered colors. Done ombre. I love this product. I use Lysol Bleach Gel Toilet cleaner to clean my shower stall. This stuff really stains. My hair is always healthy and it is an easy conversation starter.
Hair now green 1
Becky with the green hair from Pa
I have a ballyage and wanted it to be a nice teal color. Based on pics online you should not see it in the rest of my hair because it is so dark. I left it in for 8 minutes on the highlights. It spread around to the hair around it and just left a blue staining some but not all. Did not turn out how I planned.
Thought it would lighten up after a wash, but it just turned a moldy green. I'm very sad and hope it washes out well eventually and doesn't keep my hair green for long :(
Awful 1
Madyut from Utah
I got purpledacious in store at ulta and it had like a hair sample to show how the color would deposit on light and medium hair. It's not a true purple and looks nothing like the hair samples. It has pink hues in it and it applies unevenly. Some spots are a very dark purple while others are pinkish purple. The smell is gross and it leaves a greasy residue in your hair.
BOUGHT TO MAINTAIN MY HIGHLIGHTS INSTEAD THEY DISAPPEARED 2
Blondie! from Dallas, TX
I thought I purchased a blue shampoo, instead it has a blonde dye and my hair turned brassie! I had to pay to again after just one month of getting my hair highlighted.
Refreshes color, comes off on everything 1
Michelle from San Diego, Ca
Used this on my blue hair and it refreshed it nicely. However, it feels like a temporary color spray in my hair (almost chalky) and it comes off everywhere. My hands are blue after styling dry hair, even 4 days after using it. Ensuring even application can also be a challenge. And who wants to wear gloves while washing their hair in the sink? This can't be used in the shower due to splatter staining so that makes it less convenient too. Since it comes off super easily I'm not too optimistic about longevity. Smells like bubblegum.
Love it 5
Jo from NY
The only negative thing I have to say is wear gloves other then that you are good to go I only left it on for just about 5 min I did not want to shocking can't wait to use again the coloring got was purple it awesome plus I love the fact no harsh chemicals
10/10 recommend for those wanting to touch up their color! 5
Zabrina from Las Vegas, NV
I recently got half of my hair bleached and dyed red, my hairstylist recommended this to me for when the red starts to fade and look dull. This product works great, smells amazing, and makes my hair feel soft and smooth. The only negative thing I can say is that it does stain your hands but it comes off easily so it doesn't bother me, if you have white or light colored nail polish I'd definitely wear gloves for this.
Havent dyed my hit in 6 months! 5
Missy from North Carolina
I wash once a week and leave on for 5-10 minutes and my color is so vibrant and beautiful I haven't needed to dye it in 6 months!
