I have long, thick, curly hair. It used to take an hour to get my hair dry, and it would be a frizzy mess. This dryer does such a good job at getting my hair dry fast. Even better, I can now almost fully straighten my hair without my flat iron (I just use it if I want an extra sleek look). My only complaint is that the dryer gets so hot that when you switch to cool air, it's still pretty hot. Overall, definitely worth the price....I would buy again.
After researching several driers, I settled on this one based on the reviews. I ordered online and the model I received was different than the picture. The packaging was cheap, and the dryer was slightly beat up because of it, plus it appeared to have already been used. The dryer itself was also cheaply made and did not have the quality I was expecting from this price point. $30 dryers that I have purchased from big box stores in the past were better made. Returned to the store.

When I received this blow dryer and opened it, it looked used and wasn't even all that

Like many other reviewers, my first Elchim 2001 died after over 10 years of hard use (lots of drops). I then proceeded to try about 10 different dryers (Conair, Babyliss, other Elchims, Jose Eber, Turbo Power, Rusk) as well as all the dyers available in my local Ulta (T3, Bio Ionic, Hot Tools, etc.). None of them really exceeded the Elchim 2001 as far as air pressure and heat. I know for some people, too much air pressure and heat aren't preferable if the hair is on the finer side. But I use my blow dryer exclusively for rough drying my long, thick, porous, Asian hair. I don't have issues with frizz, so no need for fancy stuff. I just need something that will blast my hair dry as quickly as possible. This does the trick and at a decent price point given the years of life. I'll also mention that my hair stylist uses the Dyson hairdryer and it does not dry my hair faster than the Elchim. The only dryer I found that seemed to match it for air speed and heat was the Babyliss Rapido, which is also lighter, but more expensive. Given all this, I bought another Elchim 2001. I'm satisfied with my choice.

The only hairdryer that doesn't leave my hair flat! Quick drying time and not heavy!

I'm pretty sure my $40 drugstore hairdryer drys my hair faster. And this get hot. Very hot. Will be returning.

I have had this blow dryer for 17 years and it's still going strong. I bring it on every vacation because no other dryer compares. I'm glad to see they still make it. I will be purchasing a second one for my guest bathroom.

This is the best blow dryer. I purchased my first one 14 years ago and it just died on me. Will now be purchasing my second. I have frizzy, curly, and waist length hair. This blow dryer reduced frizz and helped keep my hair smooth. It also dries hair so quickly. Would recommend this blowdryer to everyone.

This is a replacement for my old Elchim that died after many years of heavy use. I love these dryers. They dry hair quickly and leave it with a high shine.

Love this Dryer from Ga
My first Elchim 2001 dryer was a Xmas gift. I love it and I have had it for 7 years. I have dropped it and its been damaged(I'm clumsy) but it still works. I wanted a new one in white. It works perfectly and is better than my old one.

I have never owned a hair dryer. Whenever someone has used one on my hair it would get so frizzy, so I've always air dried. My stylist told me to invest in a high power, high heat. Less amount of time on my hair means less damage and better results. I have a LOT of super thick hair and this takes minutes to dry! Typically my hair takes 4+ hours to air dry. No frizz, I don't even feel I have to style it afterwards. I couldn't be more happy.

I bought this to replace my Elchim I had since 2003. I have another high end dryer, but it doesn't compare.

I have this exact hairdryer, but 2000 watts. I bought this one hoping to do less damage to my hair. I love it. High quality and works just as well as my other one. I deducted a star because it's not 1875 watts. My other one is clearly labeled 2000 watts on the handle. There's nothing on this one. So taking the voltage x the amps, this one is 1625 watts. But it does a great job!

I have used many dryers tried and returned a dozen. I owned one of these many years ago and loved it then. Dries my thick hair quickly and evenly. Nozzle on end is a bit small but it reduces all that heat hitting your hair. Has lots of power and high heat. Highly recommend

I love this blow-dryer. I have medium/thick hair so flimsy/weak hair dryers never do the job but this one is very powerful and works wonders. I've had mine for a couple years now and it still works very well so I think it's totally worth the price.

I owned my first Elchim hair dryer for about 5 years, and it had been through the ringer. Multiple drops, moves, and I have pretty thick hair which is usually on the long side. This dryer withstood everything I've done to it. It always dried my hair quickly, smoothly and without burning or frizzing. These dryers are the real deal. I will never buy a drugstore hair dryer again.

I was tired of burning out less expensive dryers and decided to buy a high quality one. I was amazed at the difference the better motor makes. My hair dries in half the time and the dryer has lasted forever, and it's still going strong. My only complaint is that it starts to feel heavy after awhile. Its extremely well made and the cord is very long which is a great plus.

I always wanted a powerful blow dryer for my long hair. Finally splurged on this one. WOW, what a difference! It blow dries my hair fast and my hair is actually fuller than with my cheap blow dryer because it is so powerful!
