Comments about Hot Tools 1'' Salon Flat Iron-Extended Plates:

After comparing how each iron felt, I went home with this from Ulta. It was lightweight and less bulky than other choices. Plus the price was great. But I've noticed frizzing and split ends after I use this iron. I love the bend it can create but don't want to damage my hair, which is very strong and resilient. I can't imagine what it would do to someone with weaker hair than mine if it's already damaging mine. Will probably get a T3 instead because those always leave my hair shiny.

I got a hot tools blow dryer which works great and it came with a free hot tools straightener. It sucks!! Does not even straighten my bangs. Thank god I still have my CHI straightener. Not a good straightener. Even thou it came with my blow dryer, it seems like a 30$ product. No where near the asking price.

Comments about Hot Tools 1'' Salon Flat Iron-Extended Plates:

If I could give this no stars I would because this is the WORST flat iron I've ever had. It's literally a HOT TOOL. TOO HOT FOR ME TO HOLD/HANDLE. How am I supposed to flat iron my thick hair if I cannot even hold on to the product? After a short amount of time, let's say.. 10 minutes it starts to overheat and I cannot even touch the tiny end of it to pass my hair through. Yes, its cheap but I'd rather spend more money to have something way more efficient. I wish I could get all of my money back.

Comments about Hot Tools 1'' Salon Flat Iron-Extended Plates:

I've only had this straightener since the end of October (2ish months) and I do not straighten my hair everyday (maybe once a week if that). It works well on my thick, wavy, frizzy hair. I've noticed that the gold on the plates have started to come off causing my hair to get snagged. Not sure if there's a warranty on this but I'm going to call and find out if I can get a replacement. Definitely shouldn't have the plates peeling this soon with minimal use.

Comments about Hot Tools 1'' Salon Flat Iron-Extended Plates:

I've only had this iron for 3 months. I bought it when it was on sale for 50% off hoping that it wouldn't be like the first HOT iron that I purchased that stopped heating. It worked fine yesterday and today it's heating up extremely slow and was fluctuating up & down in temperatures & it never made it up to 400 degrees after approx 15 mins. As it was heating up I began using it and then the temp would decrease significantly. Also the outside of the plate area gets extremely hot to touch when trying to guide or give the iron additional pressure to help smooth my thick long curly/wavy frizzy hair. When it is working it does do a good job with reducing frizz and straitening the curls & waves.

I thought it would be a great flat iron because of the long plates, but I was wrong. It took forever for my hair to straighten and it also pulled my hair a lot as well. I had to return it and get a different one.

                A:

Nano Ceramic emits gentle, far-infrared heat which goes through the cuticle directly to the cortex of your hair. The cuticle is not over-heated which helps protect hair integrity and minimize damage. Nano size particles of ceramic creates an ultra-smooth Micro-Shine snag -free surface allowing hair to effortlessly glide across the styling surface.

                A:

Thank you for the question. We do not make a flat iron with 100% ceramic flat iron plates because they will not pass our very stringent tests for performance or durability. 100% ceramic plates break and crack after very few uses. If dropped they break 100% of the time. We use a ceramic coating to ensure durability. Thank you for your interest in Hot Tools.
