I tried this today and I read the reviews before I tried it so I knew what I was getting into!! It does take the color out and make your hair a funky multi colored mess!! You do have to use lots of conditioner after using this product!! I didn't so i was struggling to brush out my hair!! I doused my hair with conditioner and rinsed my hair again!! Way easier to brush!! When dry I colored it with light brown hair dye!! It turned out great!! I was a dark burgundy. I will never go dark again!! But if I did I would use this product again!!

      OMG!!! Remover is right!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Haircolor Remover:

I love L'oreal haircolor, especially RB6. I had tried a different shade and I didn't like it. I used the Haircolor Remover. WHOA! You should DEFINITELY do a test before you use it on your hair!!!! I didn't and I used it for 30 minutes as per the instructions. Way too long! 20 minutes would probably have been enough. But it was MY mistake.

My husband tried the color for men beard color. He tried the lightest color to cover his gray and it turned dark brown. He used the color remover and it went back to a grayish blonde. Much better color! He was so happy!

I used this product for the first time because I needed to take out the dark colour in my hair before going back to red. I recommend to CONSISTENTLY look at your hair! Mine lightened (I had lots of different shades of brown and black, and red from many years of colouring) and my hair lightened in less than five minutes. I didn't need it to go platinum blonde but if I left it for the recommended 20-60 minutes, I would have had very brittle, blonde hair. Definitely check on it and make sure you use an oil treatment after so your dry brittle hair rejuvenates!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Haircolor Remover:

Works well! I have very long thick hair that is naturally blonde that I dyed black for four years. This stripped the black out to bright orange with a few dark streaks. Don't freak out when you see this, it's normal. I then bleached my hair two times. I finished with a light ash brown hair color to neutralise the warm colors and ended with a golden blonde. I may dye again a little darker but it looks good. My hair isn't damaged! A little bit dryer at the ends, thats all.

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Haircolor Remover:

I have asian hair that was lightened to a very light blonde. After my roots started to grow out, I decided to color my hair Lavender/Purple. I let the color fade for almost a month and ended up with grayish hair with parts of my hair still really purple. It smells like bleach, but the semi-permanent purple dye almost immediately faded back to my blonde color. It took out all the hair color with no traces left in 5-10 minutes! I used Color oops a few months before to fade out and take out another semi-permanent color, but it just left my hair with a greenish tint and smelled horrible!

Comments about L'Oréal Colorist Secrets Haircolor Remover:

This product smells like bleach and looks like bleach. Worst thing I've ever put in my hair. It said to keep it on for 20-60 min for black hair dye. My hair was screaming and crying to me before 15 minutes passed, I just had to wash it out. Now my hair feels so damaged.

This product is just bleach, and it says it only removes unwanted color and doesn't lighten your undyed hair, but that's exactly what bleach does. Don't waste your money, get color oops. It smells horrid but the results are great.

Used it per instructions. I have dark hair coloring and I wanted to do light highlights. So, hey, lookee here! Yeah. Don't waste your time. I left it on for the maximum hour. Nothing. Absolute waste of time and money and now I'm nervous to do a darn thing with my hair except condition like mad for a while. Awesome.
