Good for Winter

By Dominque

About Me Budget Buyer

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Blends Well
  • Goes On Smoothly
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Too Greasy

Best Uses

  • Dry Skin
  • Light To Medium Coverage

Comments about SheaMoisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation:

This is definitely only a winter foundation for me. It's very oily and moist. So when you need a dewy fix to a dry winter face this is a good option.

Not for oily skin

About Me Budget Buyer

Pros

  • Blends Well
  • Easy To Apply
  • Goes On Smoothly
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Doesn't Stay On
  • Too Greasy

Best Uses

  • Dry Skin
  • Light To Medium Coverage

Comments about SheaMoisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation:

This foundation was lightweight and easy to blend however, it does not last well at all. I have normal to dry skin and this made my face extremely oily and I had to blot after a hour of wearing it. The coverage is light/medium but it is buildable.

Comments about SheaMoisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation:

I have ALWAYS had acne, even now at 43. While I have found a couple of brands of foundation that kind of work for me nothing has ever worked as well as this! It covers beautifully and it actually IMPROVES the condition of my skin! I use the shade "latte" and it matches my skin tone perfectly (I have fair skin). The only negative I can say is that on days when my skin is dryer than normal there tends to be a thin layer of foundation that doesn't blend in. When this happens I just use a tissue and gently blot the excess away. Easy-peasy! Also, its very thin (it is a serum after all) and you only need one pump to cover your entire face. More than that and you'll make a mess. Please, never stop making this!!!

Very pigmented but also very thin; like water. Never seemed to "dry". Rubbed off on even the slightest touch.

Comments about SheaMoisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation:

I was surprised by how much I liked this foundation. I have oily acne prone skin and it didn't break me out or make me look greasy (I used the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer and the It cosmetics By By Pores Pressed Powder). The color Hazel matches my NC 50 skin tone very well. My only con is since it is a serum foundation it gets really messy around the pump.

I like the product. I have manageable skin, so I didn't need to cover but a few dark spots. The coverage is pretty even. The only thing I dislike is the shiny look it has on your skin. Not lightly greasy but not sticky. I would buy again though.

        Great finish!

        By Mimi

        from Ithaca, NY

Comments about SheaMoisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation:

My holy grail foundation. I have dry/normal skin and love the luminous glow the fountain gives. It is a foundation you have to set or it'll transfer like crazy. My main issue is how messy the packaging this is. It's very easy for the foundation to get everywhere.

For oily skin, we'd suggest trying the SheaMoisture Mineral Powder Foundation. It can be used dry or wet and provides medium to full coverage. It absorbs excess oil and will not clog pores.
