      :/

      By Emily

      from Wisconsin

Comments about The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner:

This product doesn't irritate my skin, which is a plus, but it didn't particularly help it either. It also has a lot of fragrance and a slightly slimy texture which was unsettling. As toners go, I probably wouldn't purchase it again.

Comments about The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner:

This toner is perfectly fine as far as toners go. It feels nice going on and has a slightly viscous texture. My only complaint is that it smells exactly like Johnson & Johnsons Baby Magic lotion. It's strong enough that my husband even noticed and expressed his dislike of my old lady smelling face product. If they ever change the smell I'll revisit this product but in the meantime I'll be searching elsewhere for a toner.

Comments about The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner:

I really love this toner. I am 45 years old with a medium-cool skin tone. Some fine lines, some deep wrinkles. This toner makes my skin glow, provides wonderful hydration, and actually tones my skin. I have never experienced dry skin while using this toner like I have with other brands. I will continue to buy it and recommend it to friends and family.

Comments about The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner:

I've tried a lot of products for my face, mail drugstore and some have worked a little while others irritate my face. I have bad breakouts in my time of the month and really dry skin. I like this toner because it really does seem to heal my enflamed acne and soothe my dry skin and it does not leave me sticky. I have tried a lot of toners that leave a gross sticky residue but not this one. My skin tone has improved alot. I Highly recommend it.

                    A:

Thank you for contacting The Body Shop. The Vitamin E range is ideal for those with normal to dry skin, and who are concerned with dullness. So I think this will work well for you. However, I would also recommend that you use Tea Tree Oil for targeted treatment of blemishes and breakouts.

Thank you for contacting The Body Shop. Vitamin E Hydrating Toner should be used after cleansing the face in the morning, and at night. For extra hydration, use Vitamin E Aqua Boost Essence Lotion AFTER toning, and before applying a serum.

I see a lot of fragrant type ingredients like Limonene, Eugenol, Farnesol & others... but then one of the ingredients is listed as just "fragrance". Is the "fragrance" in this product synthetic or natural? Thank you!!!

                    A:

Within The Body Shop's product formulas, the general term "fragrance" applies to trace amounts of a natural and/or synthetic material formulated by a perfumer to create a desired smell or fragrance. When The Body Shop uses only the word "fragrance" as an ingredient, it could be both natural and synthetic in a mixture.

We hope this info helps. The Vitamin E Hydrating Toner is formulated for all skin types, even sensitive skin. It is formulated without harsh ingredients such as sulfates, phthalates, and triclosan. It is also free of GMOs and animal byproducts. The Body Shop supports Community Fair Trade ingredients.

                    A:

                    From The Body Shop:

"When we claim that a product is “Alcohol-free” we mean “Ethanol-free”. “Alcohol” is the common name for Ethanol which is the intoxicating alcohol found in alcoholic drinks that some religious groups and consumers wish to avoid. Ethanol can be considered to have a drying effect on the skin and some people find it irritating.

In scientific terms there are many chemicals that are classified as “alcohols”, including Benzyl Alcohol and Lanolin Alcohol. They are chemically extremely different from ethanol; they are not intoxicating and have very different properties. We still consider products containing these materials to be “Alcohol-free” because they are Ethanol free."
