Comments about First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy:

I chose this product because I had wanted to try the brand and I also needed a new lip treatment, and this seemed to be one of their best reviewed products so I was sold. This product is nothing special, and not worth the price. If I wanted something I had to reapply all day I would just buy a drugstore lipbalm that smells better and is cheaper. This does not moisturize deeply at all, and does not last. The treatment I had before this would make my lips so soft and smooth without even exfoliating them first, and my boyfriend (who is a little dense on beauty products) would always notice my lips after using my old one and would even ask to use it. *Do not recommend at all.

Contains carnauba wax, caused allergic reaction for me

Comments about First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy:

I have extremely sensitive lips and I'm allergic to lanolin and petroleum. I had suspected I may be allergic to carnauba wax also but I wasn't sure until I tried this lip balm. I've had excellent results with the FAB Ultra Repair Intensive Lip Balm (and several other FAB products), but I was hoping to find a similar product for a more reasonable price. Unfortunately this lip balm didn't work for me.

Within hours of applying it for the first time, my lips got red and tingly and then began itching. I tried it again the following day just to be sure the lip balm was the culprit, and that time my lips got swollen in addition to the redness, tingling, and itching.

I read the ingredients list on the Ulta page before buying and I didn't see anything that raised red flags for me. When I had the allergic reaction I read the ingredients list on the actual tube and was very surprised to find out that it contained carnauba wax. I would not have bought it if I had known that. The confusion came from the fact that Ulta only lists the genus species name of the carnauba tree (copernicia cerafera) on the ingredients list but does not call it carnauba wax. The actual product tube lists both the genus species name and also calls it by its common name. Maybe it's my fault for not educating myself on the less commonly used name for this ingredient, but I think it's important for Ulta to list the ingredients exactly as they appear on the product.

So if you have a known allergy to carnauba wax, stay away from this lip balm. Otherwise I'm sure this is a perfectly fine lip balm for people without sensitive lips. I'll be returning it though.

I was looking for a lip balm to replace my favorite emptying one. I'm a huge fan of the squeeze applicator so I thought I'd give his one a go. And I'm so glad I did! This replaced my favorite as my favorite.

I bought this during the winter when I had extremely chapped lips and this healed them within a day. Previously I have been buying many other chap sticks from other brands including L'Occitane, Nivea, BUrts Bees, Vaseline, etc. and none of them worked. This product really does what it says.

Comments about First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy:

I really, really wanted this product to work. I have suffered from extremely chapped lips all of my life. Being allergic to bee propolis (always found in beeswax) I haven't found much luck finding a product that could help my lips other than petroleum jelly. I saw this product and thought I would give it a shot since there was a lot of stellar reviews. BIG MISTAKE. I applied this product to my severely chapped lips for a day and was horrified by what it had done. It had clumped oddly on my lips after an hour and I noticed tiny, red dots all over my lips. It was actually damaging my lips rather than treating them! My lips swelled up horrifically though it didn't burn or cause pain. It was as if I had used a lip plumper or did the Kylie Jenner challenge. NEVER AGAIN! If you have extremely chapped lips, PLEASE don't make the mistake I did. Stick to something gentle.

Comments about First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Lip Therapy:

Pretty good! My lips were constantly dry and cracked for a few days. Vitamin E oil was expensive and I did not want to spend my whole wallet on a lip treatment. The lip therapy literally made a difference by the next day. I have been using it every few hrs for the past 5 days and my lips have not been this moist since the fall. I think this is a pretty good buy!

                      A:

The Ultra Repair Lip Therapy is supposed to be smooth, however sometimes the natural butters in the formula may crystalize due to cold temperatures. The product would still be safe to use, however you may take your product back to the store for an exchange if you prefer.

Both Lip Therapy and Intensive Lip Balm contain mint, which is what causes the tingling. Note that some people experience more tingling than others.
