To serve you better, ULTA.com will begin to process your order immediately after you click the SUBMIT ORDER button. Because our system processes orders immediately, we are unable to change or cancel an order once it is submitted.

Returns

ULTA.com Return Policy

ULTA is dedicated to bringing you an unparalleled shopping experience from start to finish. If you are not completely satisfied with a product for any reason, just send it to the Ulta.com Returns Center for a refund. You may also return it to your local Ulta store for a refund, exchange or in-store credit.

  • Products must be returned within 60 days of the Process Date on the order packing slip to receive a refund to the payment method used on ULTA.com. An ULTA Gift Card or eGift Card will be issued for returns of products after 60 days of the Process Date on the order packing slip when returned to the processing center.
  • Products returned to stores that were purchased using an online payment service (i.e., PayPal, Bill Me Later) will be refunded to your preferred credit card or issued as a store merchandise credit.
  • The original email order confirmation, packing slip and all original packaging materials must be included with your return.
  • Original shipping charges are refunded only if the product is defective or mis-shipped by ULTA.
  • Online purchases returned to an Ulta store without the original email receipt, applicable free gifts and pack slip are only eligible for exchanges.
  • Products ordered online can be exchanged in your local store.Customers are responsible for paying any additional difference in price and sales tax for exchanges of greater value. A store credit will be issued for the difference in price and tax for exchanges of lesser value without a receipt.
  • Store credit will be issued for returns without a receipt, or for returns that are not made within 60 days of shipment to the customer.
  • Rewards points earned for product being returned will be deducted from your account. Rewards points used to make a purchase are not refundable.
  • In the case of shipping damages, please contact the carrier.
To return a product to the ULTA.com fulfillment center

To return an ULTA.com purchase to an ULTA store, bring your purchase along with the packing slip and original email confirmation to your local store.

To reprint the email, locate the order number on the bottom of the pack slip. Select the Login/Create Account link on www.ulta.com. Enter your username and password, and select Login. Select Order Status, then select your order number. Finally select Print Your Order.

For your convenience, a return mailing label has been included with your order which needs to be applied to the outside of your shipping carton.

Mail your return using a traceable ground shipping method (we recommend UPS or the U.S. Postal Service insured mail) to:

ULTA does not accept CODs for returned merchandise. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.

RETURN PRODUCTS TO ULTA BY GROUND-ONLY SHIPPING METHODS - Certain items in your order may be considered Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT). Hazardous Materials are as follows: aerosol items, some alcohol-based items, items that contain contents under pressure, and others (e.g., hairspray, nail polish and items containing flammable, volatile or corrosive chemicals). The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) requires ground-only shipment of Hazardous Materials due to air shipment restrictions and regulations.

If you return products to the ULTA Returns Center, you can check your order status online at any time to see if we've received and processed it. Click on Login/Create Account in the top menu bar and Login to your account, then choose Order Status from the menu on the left hand side. Select your order number. You may also Contact Us to check on the return status. Please have your order number available to allow us to better serve you.

ULTA will issue a refund within 30 business days of receiving and processing your return. The credit should appear on your statement within two billing periods, depending on your billing cycle.

Return Ulta.com purchase to an Ulta Store

To return an Ulta.com purchase to an Ulta store, bring your purchase along with the packing slip and original email confirmation to your local store.

Online returns to store without the original email receipt, applicable free gifts and pack slip are only eligible for exchanges or store credit.

Ulta Store Purchase Refund Policy

If for any reason your purchase does not give you complete satisfaction, the purchase may be returned. All returns must be accompanied by the receipt and all original components.

Store Purchase Returns for Refund

A full refund will be issued on a return, providing the return is within 60 days of the original purchase date. A full refund will be issued on a return that included a FREE product or FREE gift, providing the return is within 60 days of original purchase date, and the FREE product or FREE gift accompany the return.

Store Purchase Returns for Store Credit

A store credit will be issued on a return, providing the return is accompanied by the Gift Receipt.

A store credit will be issued on a return after 60 days of original purchase date.

Returned Check Policy

A service fee will be added for any check returned unpaid by the bank. In accordance with State law, NSF Checks may be submitted to your bank electronically. A 10-day waiting period is required for refunds on personal checks.

Coupon Reward Certificates

Coupon / Reward Certificates need to be presented at time of purchase and within the specified dates. Expired Coupon / Reward Certificates will not be accepted. Prior purchases do not qualify for use with coupon / reward certificates.

ULTAmate Rewards Members

Upon return of any product on which you earned ULTAmate Rewards points, your ULTAmate Rewards account will be reduced by the number of points previously earned on that purchase.

If the return will cause your ULTAmate Rewards account to have a negative point balance, a store credit will be issued on the return regardless of your original form of payment.

Standard Ground Shipping



  • Our Standard Shipping combines the capabilities of UPS and USPS, delivering packages to you more efficiently. UPS will deliver your package to your local post office, where your postal carrier will make the final delivery to your door or mailbox.
  • This allows packages to arrive on Saturday as well as any other business day. Tracking is still available through UPS and will indicate the estimated delivery date.
  • This shipping method is available for shipments to Continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses.
  • This shipping method is the only shipping method available for shipments to U.S. Territories, PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses.
UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air
This shipping method is available for shipments to Continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii addresses only.
ULTA Processing Time
Orders received by 12PM CST (Monday-Friday) are typically processed the same day.
Orders received after 12PM CST or on Saturday and Sunday are normally processed the next business day.
Shipping Fees
Some oversized and/or overweight items will incur an additional $3.00 fee.

ULTA Coupon and Promotion Exclusions and Restrictions

Ulta Beauty carries more than 20,000 products and over 1000 fabulous brands, but unfortunately, our coupons sometimes exclude a small number of these products and brands. We wish we could extend these special offers far and wide on all of the products and services we offer, but we are often limited by reasons beyond our control. Please know we are always looking for opportunities to provide added value and the best prices available to our customers and thank you for your understanding.

Please note the following list of exclusions and restrictions that generally apply to ULTA coupons:

  • Excludes salon and Benefit Brow Bar services, fragrance, and some prestige brands of cosmetics, skincare, haircare, and nail.
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash or gift cards.
  • Cannot be combined with any other ULTA coupon offer.
  • Not valid on prior purchases.
  • Limit one per customer.
  • Valid through dates specified on coupon or promotion.
  • Void if copied or transferred and where prohibited by law.

Redeeming Coupons - ULTA.com

To redeem an ULTA coupon with a valid coupon code, place all items you would like to purchase in your shopping basket. Redeem your coupon by entering the coupon code in the space provided and click APPLY CODE. If the coupon code is valid, the applicable discount or promotion will appear in the shopping basket. Please note that not all in-store coupons and promotions can be redeemed on ULTA.com and not all ULTA.com coupons and promotions can be redeemed in-store.

Only one coupon code may be redeemed per order on ULTA.com and each coupon code may only be redeemed once.

Shipping Promotions

Orders qualifying for FREE or discounted shipping promotions are shipped via our Standard Ground Shipping service only. FREE or discounted shipping is available in the Continental U.S. only, and excludes Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses and oversized packages.

Product Availability

ULTA.com makes every effort to ensure that all of the merchandise we feature is in stock.

In the rare instance that a selected item is out of stock, you will be notified when you click ADD TO BASKET. You will have the option to enter your email address and click NOTIFY ME to receive an email when the item becomes available. Some products are only available select stores. Please contact your local store for product availability

In the event that an item becomes out of stock after your order is submitted, we will ship the rest of the items in your order and send you an email indicating that one of your selected items is out of stock. You will not be charged for the out of stock item. We will not ship the item when it is back in stock, as we do not have a backorder system.

Sending a gift?

Depending on the time of year, we offer gift wrapping or gift boxes plus personalized gift note services. We offer gift wrapping from January through October and we offer gift boxes from November through December. Choose a gift option in the Shopping Basket and we will wrap or box your purchase and we will include an optional personalized message with your order.

PLEASE NOTE: Individual items within an order cannot be wrapped or boxed separately. Oversized/overweight items are not eligible for gift services.
