Neutral Day Look
In this video we'll give you a Behind the Scenes peek at our fall shoot where Ulta and make-up artist Denise Markey created a great neutral day look on our model, Olga, that you can easily transform into a sultry look for evening.

STEP 1: Apply your preferred foundation and concealer. Denise suggests always using a loose powder like Bare Minerals Mineral Veil to set the foundation and control shine. Apply using a kabuki brush in light strokes.

STEP 2: Then Denise applies a natural toned blush from Studio Gear in a back and forth motion using a large fluffy brush just under the edge of Olga's cheek bone

STEP 3: A handy choice for brow grooming is Benefit BrowZings which has wax for setting and powder for shaping all in one kit. Shape the brow up and to the side with the brush and wax and finish by filling with the brow powder

STEP 4: Denise first preps Olga's eye with Urban Decay's primer to smooth the lid and increase shadow intensity and wear.

STEP 5: She achieves the neutral day look with Urban Decay Naked eye shadow collection - a multi shade kit of versatile, wearable shades and coordinating pencils in one set. For the desired natural eye, Denise begins with Naked, a medium shade that she sweeps over Olga's eyelid using a wide eye shadow brush. She adds a slightly deeper shade Buck, with a smaller, tapered brush to the crease of the eye for emphasis and depth. She draws a very fine line along the lash-line with the brown shade of the pencil. She then lightly applies Hustle a deeper shadow, over the liner to soften the line for subtle definition. Sidecar is the final shade Denise adds for a soft shimmer at the center of the lid and under the brow.

STEP 6: Denise completes the eye with Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. Curl lashes and apply the mascara from the lash line bringing it out to the end of the lash. Apply very lightly to lower lashes to keep the look soft and natural.

STEP 7: A neutral lip completes the look. Denise chooses Ulta's lip liner in Flesh - a shade close to Olga's natural lip color – which she applies lightly to avoid a harsh line.

STEP 8: Smashbox Lipstick in Flawless is the finishing touch for a fresh look that is appropriate for any day, anytime, anywhere.

Smoky Eye Night Look
A perfect way to transition your day look into evening is with a smoky eye. Best of all you can use the same Urban Decay Naked palette and apply the smoky colors over your existing eye make-up.

STEP 9: Denise begins by applying Gunmetal on the lid following the crease and for added drama she extends the shadow slightly beyond the outer edge of the eye using a tapered eye shadow brush. Now using the black end of the pencil, she lines the eye close to the lash line and smudges Creep, a darker shadow, over the pencil line to soften the edge. Denise applies the black pencil again under the eye close to the lash line and inside the eye to accentuate the look. She then applies the same dark shadow with a small eye shadow brush over the pencil and blends the lines creating a dramatic, sexy and smoky effect.

Add some jewelry and you're ready for a night on the town.

Ulta: the store on everyone's lips .. and brows.. and eyes.. and face.
