Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

This curling iron is better than any I've ever owned. I recently cut my long hair into a bob and needed a smaller barrel so I thought I'd give this one a try. Heats up super fast and the curls are soft, shiny and last all day with minimal hair spray. I've received so many compliments on my hair style since I started using this iron. If you don't have one - get one!

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

Use two different size curling irons everyday.
All day curl on my fine hair.
I have 5 hot tools that no longer work & they have
schocked me quite a few times.
        Burnt my skin alot.
I keep buying new ones, because I think its the best curling iron I can buy.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I wanted to use this product to have larger curls and I asked for an iron that would give me a curl that would hold with humid resistent spray. It gives me good curls at the bottem but the curls in my long layers do not take well or hold long. Disappointed...

My old Conair finally died after more than 10 years. I decided I deserved an upgrade, boy was I happy spending a little more. I feel like I have new hair. The iron heats up quick and more importantly the curls are SMOOTH and LAST! The only thing I miss from the old Conair is an auto turn-off.

It worked great the first few times but after the third use the spiral that holds the main barrel with the clip is stiff, it almost acts as if it is rusted because it doesn't want to close. Complete waste.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I love the cord swivel. It keeps the cord from getting all twisted like my old one. Heats up fast and works fine.

The bad is the temp control slides to the setting you want but doesn't stay there. If you bump it during use it changes to hotter or cooler. Also it is easy to bump the on and off switch during use. I do both and a regular basis. It also doesn't turn itself off if you leave it on like my old one did. I thought about returning it but I do love the swivel cord.

Absolutely love it. I have small hands so it could be a little bulky and heavy. But everything else works great. I've wanting a Hot tools 1 1/4" curler for a long time and I finally got mine. I am very happy with my purchase.

                      A:

The most important thing to know to reduce damage is to use the correct temperature on the iron for your hair type and texture. Additionally, we recommend using styling products with thermal protectant properties to help further reduce damage to hair. If your hair is already damaged and prone to breakage, you may prefer to use a ceramic iron such as Hot Tools CeramicTI Tourmaline Curling Iron:

I have very hard to curl hair, I get a curl out of my curling iron but automatically the curl will start to fall and by the time I'm done with my whole head the curls are very loose and flat. With that being said, will the hot tools curling iron keep the curl? Even with my very fine hair?

This tool is designed with a 24K gold-plated barrel to heat quickly and evenly for professional results. It works on all hair types and textures, including very fine hair. To extend the life of your curls, we recommend setting your style with a finishing hair spray with medium to firm hold.
