Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I recently cut my hair above shoulder length. I usually would use a bigger barrel since I had extremely long hair. So, my stylist recommended I buy a smaller barrel size. I got home and tried it right away. It heated up instantly and curled my hair just the way I wanted. I have really thick hair and lots and lots of it... Great product!

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I love it for when I want a basic look of soft curls. It's not a ceramic curler, but it works as good as one. I only use it about once or twice a week however, because I don't want to damage my hair, but I'm conscious of that regarding all heat products anyway. It works best when I use an argan oil before curling, to protect my hair.

I completely regret buying this curling iron. No matter what I do, the curls do not stay (and I use tons of hairspray). I have another hot tools curling iron (the pink titanium one) and the curls last forever when I use it. So I know its not my hair. Do not get this iron.. Get the pink hot tools titanium one. Its much better.

We recommend setting your curling iron to a higher heat setting if you have thick, coarse, or unmanageable hair. We suggest experimenting with the temperature settings until you find the setting that is perfect to achieve your desired results.

The most important thing to know to reduce damage is to use the correct temperature on the iron for your hair type and texture. Additionally, we recommend using styling products with thermal protectant properties to help further reduce damage to hair. If your hair is already damaged and prone to breakage, you may prefer to use a ceramic iron such as Hot Tools CeramicTI Tourmaline Curling Iron:
