Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

Just got myself a LOB cut and wanted a great iron to make beachy and small waves. Works fantastic. Heats fast with multiple settings and takes the frizz away, leaving a great shiny curl.

I am now on my second curling iron...had to return the first one after 4 weeks of use because it no longer would heat up. So far, I love the long cord and the ease of use but the reliability and lack of lasting curls has me less than happy.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

In my opinion, Hot Tools Curling Irons are the best.
I have 3 different sizes and use all of them at different times, depending on the length of my hair. They are easy to use and last a very long time. Ihave purchased other brands in the past and they do not perform nearly as well. I will always replace with another Hot Tools brand.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I am a big fan ot Hot Tool. My stylist uses them and my hair looks great every time. So I have replaced all of my old curling irons with Hot Tools. I now own 5 different Hot Tools curling irons and they all work great. I would recomend this product to anyone. My hair is natually curly but sometime its can be hard to hold a curl but with the 3/4 inch curling iron its curls my hair great and will even stay even if I do not use hair spray. I like a smaller curl which is why I ended up getting the 3/4 inch after I got the 1 inch. The 1 inch still works great but I wanted a little small curl and this is perfect for it.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

My second Hot Tools curling iron has died and I won't be repurchasing. I fell in love with the first one I purchased but it only lasted about a year before one day it just stopped heating. Second time, same thing. It works great for a variety of styles but I just can't justify the price when a cheaper iron will last years longer with no issues.

Comments about Hot Tools Gold Curling Iron:

I purchased the HOT TOOLS LIME GLITTER 1" CURL IRON. Amazing iron! I've always used Hot Tools. Unfortunately, the cooling tip melted and the plastic got into my hair. Luckily there wasn't a lot of damage. This is most likely a random issue, I've never had it happen before. Ulta is being super helpful by letting me exchange it for the same one, since it is under the one year warranty and I have the receipt.

The main difference is that marcel irons have a locking mechanism to hold the hair around the barrel. They are frequently used by professional stylists in salon environments.

The 1" barrel is the most versatile size and can be used to achieve a variety of looks. Another great option for longer lengths is the 1-1/4" barrel, which works great to create looser, larger curls and waves.

The most important thing to know to reduce damage is to use the correct temperature on the iron for your hair type and texture. Additionally, we recommend using styling products with thermal protectant properties to help further reduce damage to hair. If your hair is already damaged and prone to breakage, you may prefer to use a ceramic iron such as Hot Tools CeramicTI Tourmaline Curling Iron:
