I have tried so many curling irons,even the high end ones, over $100.00. AND still i keep coming back to this one! This curling iron is the best. I dont know WHY i keep trying something new, because you always go back to what you used before and I have been using conair for 20 years or so. This curling iron get's the job done, and i love the way it is so easy to use and you dont burn yourself, it has a great grip and the tip is long enough for your fingers and the temp dial around is PERFECT! This is my third conair curling iron in 10 years. I use it every single day. It's inexpensive and gets the job done. My favorite features are the 3/4" barrel which works well for those with short hair, it's got multiple heat settings, it's got a clamp to hold my hair around the barrel (I could never use a curling "wand" because my hair is just too straight)and its dual voltage so I only need an adapter and not a converter for travel outside the U.S. Oh, and did I mention it's under $20? I did look at a ceramic model, but was put off by the price.

I had an old Conair for years and it did NOTHING for my baby fine hair. Bought a Hot Tools curling iron and fell in love; however, I needed a curing iron that was dual voltage for travel. I got this and have been trying it at home - and wow, has technology changed since that old Conair. This is great!! I have fine hair, but my hair literally slides right over the barrel for snag free waves and curls. I've honestly been super impressed. I'm not sure how it would work on thick or coarse hair, but I use level 15 (half way up the heat setting trail) on this. I really haven't found anything wrong with it so far and it's been about 2 weeks of use.

this product actually curls my hair to where it stays curled all day, which is more than i can say for most products!

I use this every day and find that it does not damage my hair because I can adjust the setting. On the downside, I did have to purchase a new one because a piece fell off and I couldn't find it....it was the plastic thumb protector so you don't burn your thumb. Until I bought a new one, I had to use a washcloth to protect my thumb. If it happens again to this one, then I will be finished with this line of products forever.
