I've been using these clips for years to hold up my thick, curly hair. I use several just to keep hair out of my eyes when I work or doing yard work. Only reason I am getting more is that I lose them..lol. These don't hurt your head like some clips do and they don't break either. They also don't lose their spring grip. You get 2 to a package and worth it. They do not look cheaply made.

Work great but must be cheaply made, spring broke shortly after I bought it. I do not have thick hair.

These are actually made in China, not France. I have an older version of these which were made in France and they are MUCH nicer - more delicate, the spring is brass and very strong and beautifully detailed. If I'd never seen the real thing, these might be ok, but I'm really disappointed that the French ones seem to be a thing of the past.
